The fire grew smaller and smaller, so he smothered it with a stone and then got up and went back to his bedroom.

Jue was fast asleep, a tiny bundle buried in the animal skin blanket, making soft breathing sounds.

Bai Ze had just taken off his robe when he heard a knock at the cave entrance, so he quickly got out of bed.

The cave was pitch black. Bai Ze groped his way to the door and asked urgently, "Is it Mo?"

"Yes, I'm back," came Mo's deep voice.

Bai Ze immediately moved the stone, opened the door, and a cold wind mixed with rain rushed in, making him shiver.

Mo quickly went inside and closed the door. Black Panther's eyesight was excellent at night, and even without light, he could vaguely make out Bai Ze's outline.

Bai Ze reached out in the darkness and touched the wet animal hide, followed by the cold skin. Even though he couldn't see, he could imagine how the ink had turned into a mess.

"I'm wet." Mo took two steps back.

"I'll go and start a fire," Bai Ze said, heading towards the fire.

Mo pulled him back: "I'll take care of it, you put on your clothes first."

"It's alright, quickly dry yourself off and change into dry clothes." Bai Ze said as he quickly walked over, picked up the flint and steel from the ground, and started a fire, adding more firewood.

The cave lit up, and in the dim light, Mo was completely dry from head to toe, and his lips had lost their usual color.

Bai Ze urged him to go inside and change his clothes, then put the chicken soup he had cooked last night on the fire to heat it up.

When Mo came out, he saw Bai Ze busy at work. He took Bai Ze's clothes and said, "Put these on."

"Oh, okay." After putting on his clothes, Bai Ze pressed Mo down and sat down to warm himself by the fire.

Mo stared at his profile: "Why aren't you asleep?"

Bai Ze didn't look like he had just woken up. Was he waiting for him? He wondered and then asked.

"I can't sleep." Bai Ze slowly stirred the chicken soup. "It's raining heavily outside."

Mo took out something wrapped in layers.

Bai Ze opened it and took a look. It was honey, a large chunk of honey, completely intact, not even a drop of rainwater had seeped in.

Bai Ze blinked, feeling a sudden pang of sadness, just like the pot of soup in front of him.

"Did you get stung by a Needle-tailed Beast?"

"You're lying." Bai Ze pulled his hand, pointing to several red dots on the back of his hand. "Then what are these?"

Mo smiled and said, "I didn't notice."

Bai Ze ladled out a full bowl of chicken soup and handed it to him: "Drink it while it's hot."

Mo's gaze shifted downwards, his brows furrowing slightly: "How did you get your leg injured?"

Bai Ze likes to sleep in shorts, and this robe wasn't wrapped tightly around him. When he got up slightly, the purplish-blue bruise on his knee was exposed.

He didn't seem to mind and casually said, "I just tripped and fell a little earlier, it's nothing."
