Mo walked over and quickly tore off the leaves covering the Gaga Beast. The oil slowly dripped down his fingers, and the fragrance of the leaves mixed with the aroma of meat permeated the cave, becoming increasingly rich.

"Just put it here." Bai Ze took two large leaves and spread them on the stone table, next to which were roasted venison and wild vegetable omelets.

Mo easily tore the Gaga Beast apart, the meat falling off the bone piece by piece, juices overflowing.

Bai Ze picked up a gaga beast leg with his chopsticks, placed it in front of Jue, and said with a smile, "Eat it while it's hot."

Looking down, Bai Ze saw another creaking beast leg in front of him. He smiled slightly and said, "Thank you."

Mo put away his chopsticks and casually picked up the crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside roasted venison.

"Could you bring back some branches and vines tomorrow?" Bai Ze asked. "It's cold at night, and it's been windy lately. I want to cover the entrance to the cave."

"Um."

After the meal, Mo conscientiously washed the pot and went to fetch water from nearby to fill the empty stone vat.

Bai Ze was fiddling with the fire.

Mo found it strange that he was adding water to the pot.

Bai Ze said, "I want to boil some water for a bath."

Mo hesitated for a moment before saying, "I'm going to bathe in the hot springs on the mountain. Can I take you with me?"

"Okay!" Bai Ze immediately stood up upon hearing this. "I'll go get the clothes."

Mo transformed into a beast and let Bai Ze and Jue ride on his back.

The black panther blends seamlessly into the night as it traverses the mountains and forests.

The hot springs, large and small, are scattered among the rocks on the mountainside, steaming gently.

Bai Ze chose a small hot spring on the side, carefully stepped onto the stones and entered the water, where the warm spring water immediately enveloped him.

Bai Ze sighed comfortably. The spring water wasn't deep; it only reached his shoulders after he sat down, and the hot steam quickly made him sweat.

As night fell, Mo and Jue didn't dare stray too far. They chose a spot next to Bai Ze, took off their animal skins, and entered the water.

Suddenly, I heard voices in my ear.

Bai Ze tensed up instantly. Unable to see clearly, he lowered his voice and called out to the side, "Mo, Jue?"

Mo's calm voice rang out: "It's nothing, it's just other people from the tribe."

"Hmm." Bai Ze relaxed, stretched his limbs again, and submerged in the water.

After a while, Bai Ze felt so relaxed and comfortable that his bones felt soft. He felt as comfortable as if he were lying on cotton, and he was light and slightly tipsy.

Jue reminded him, "Father, you can go back now."

"Oh, okay." After Bai Ze came out of the water, he shivered from the cold and quickly put on the clothes he had brought.

The fire inside the cave was still burning, its bright light reflecting off the stone walls.

Bai Ze stared at the spot where Mo was sleeping, and suddenly felt a little guilty. He was staying in someone else's cave, using the best animal hides, and eating meat that Mo had hunted and brought back, yet he was still letting Mo sleep here.

The key point is that Mo's attitude was incredibly good.

My conscience is bothering me even more...

Bai Ze walked over and said, "Mo, if you have time, let's dig another cave inside the mountain cave."

"Hmm." Mo nodded without asking why.

The wind is strong tonight, howling incessantly; you can hear the branches swaying even through the stone wall.

When Bai Ze woke up in the morning, neither Mo nor Jue were there.

After washing up, he searched outside again, but still couldn't find anyone.

Bai Ze first added water to the stone pot and placed it on the fire pit to heat it. Then he took several eggs of the Ga Ga Beast from the storage room, broke them up, added the warm water from the pot, added some salt, and stirred it well.

Without a steamer, he placed a few stones in a stone pot, propped up a huge stone bowl, covered the pot with the lid, and steamed it slowly over a low flame.

Sitting there was boring, so Bai Ze picked up a stone and smashed it on the ground next to him, thinking about whether he could dig a hole and build a stove.

Sometimes he cooks by boiling and frying, which is troublesome and time-consuming, as he has to do it one thing at a time.

The ground was hard, and Bai Ze's hands ached from the impact after only a few strikes, but at least it had some effect. He cleared away the rubble and continued to strike with all his might.

The steamed eggs were almost done. Bai Ze used animal hide to line the edge of the stone pot, then took it off and placed the stone slab on top. He then cut some tenderloin from the Hum Hum Beast and stir-fried it with wild scallions.

Finally, two large pieces of MooMoo beast meat were fried separately for Mo and Jue, and breakfast was finally complete.

Seeing that they had not returned, Bai Ze continued his purely manual construction project.

The knocking sound came from inside the cave, growing louder as it approached. Mo, carrying tree branches, quickened his pace, followed closely by Jue, who was carrying a large bundle of vines.

"You're back!" Bai Ze caught sight of the familiar figures at the cave entrance and said with a smile, "Dinner is ready."

Mo put down his things and, as Bai Ze had requested, chose tree trunks that were about the thickness of a fist, straight and sturdy.

Seeing the marks already made on the ground, Jue approached and asked, "Father, what are you digging for?"

"I want to build another place to cook."

Mo's gaze fell on Bai Ze's reddened palm. He squatted down and took the stone from Bai Ze's hand: "Eat first, I'll take care of it later."

Bai Ze said, "Just keep it about the same size as before."

"Um."

"What's this?" Bai Ze asked, noticing that Mo had brought back something wrapped in leaves.

Jue: "Food for the Needle-tailed Beast."

Bai Ze opened it and his eyes lit up instantly, his eyebrows and the corners of his eyes filled with an excited smile.

That large, golden honeycomb was filled with amber-colored honey, translucent and viscous, emitting a rich, sweet aroma.

"Did you collect these? Did you get stung?" Bai Ze was happy but also a little worried, since there weren't many protective suits here, and there had been news reports of people dying from bee stings before.

Mo: "Our fur is so thick that even a needle-tailed beast can't pierce it."

"Then what is this?" Bai Ze noticed the red bulge on Mo's finger with his sharp eyes.

"It's nothing." Mo glanced at it, completely unconcerned.

"Has the thorn been pulled out?" Bai Ze asked, pulling his hand over to examine it closely. He found that a small part of the thorn was still stuck in the flesh.

Mo lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on Bai Ze's slender, fair nape, his long eyelashes casting a small shadow on his eyelids.

"fine."

"Don't move." Bai Ze used his fingernails to squeeze the flesh next to the wound and carefully picked out the thorn.

"Alright, washing it with wood ash will make it feel less uncomfortable." Bai Ze said, bending down to reach for the stove.

Mo grasped his arm: "It's really nothing, let's eat first."

"real?"

"Um."

Bai Ze checked Jue again: "Jue, were you stung?"

Jue shook her head: "The beast father went to pick them himself."

Bai Ze looked at Mo, and suddenly remembered a sentence he had casually said yesterday, but quickly dismissed the thought.

He lifted the lid of the pot, took out the steamed eggs, sprinkled them with chopped green onions, and divided them into three bowls.

The yellow steamed egg has a glistening surface, like a piece of pudding.

Jue asked, "Father, what kind of food is this?"

"Steamed egg custard, made with the eggs of the Gaga Beast." Bai Ze's eyes were filled with a smile. "Try it and see how it tastes."
