It swung its two giant claws with all its might and slammed them towards Shen Youwei.

The air was torn apart, emitting a piercing shriek. This attack was far more powerful than the one that had attacked Gu Yan earlier.

Shen Youwei simply moved her fingers slightly, her movements as elegant as if she were picking up a cup of tea.

The crimson giant swung his sword, the blade colliding with the Lamp Demon's claws.

The shockwave ripped off all the stone slabs of the street, and the rubble surged outwards like a tsunami.

But Shen Youwei stood perfectly still; not even her eyelashes trembled.

The Lamp Demon was slashed backward by the blade, sliding more than ten meters. A deep, bone-revealing wound appeared on its claws, from which black liquid gushed out.

Before it could even stand still, the second blow came crashing down.

Then came the third cut, and the fourth cut.

Four sword lights intertwined to form a blood-red cross, piercing through the Lamp Demon's chest.

Its massive body flew backward like a cannonball, crashing through two buildings that hadn't completely collapsed yet, sending bricks, stones, and wooden beams flying everywhere.

Finally, it slammed down hard next to Lin Yan, creating a crater two meters deep in the ground.

Smoke and dust billowed into the sky.

The Lamp Demon lay at the bottom of the pit, black liquid gushing wildly from the crack in his chest.

Its body twitched several times, and each struggle caused more black blood to flow out.

Lin Yan slumped to the side, his face splattered with the black blood of the Lamp Demon.

He stared at the barely surviving figure at the bottom of the pit, his whole body trembling.

This was his last trump card, the A-level peak calamity he brought back from Italy, his only hope for a comeback.

Now it's like a dying dog, unable to even howl anymore.

"How is this possible..."

He suddenly looked up at Shen Youwei, at the girl shrouded in a blood-red giant.

His eyes glazed over completely, and fear spread from the depths of his bones to every part of his body.

"What kind of monster is she...? What exactly is that woman next to Gu Yan?"

"Each one is more terrifying than the last. What have I done to deserve this?"

The Lamp Demon grabbed Lin Yan's trouser leg with its last remaining claw, its voice barely audible.

"Master...make one more wish, cancel the previous one, and give me all the power."

"I still have a chance, I can still turn things around." Lin Yan frantically pulled his legs back, as if he were being strangled by a venomous snake.

"I can't make any more promises, I'll die, I really will die."

"Look at yourself, you can't even block one of her stabs, you can't beat her at all."

Shen Youwei walked towards them, the crimson giant's four long swords leaving four deep furrows on the ground.

She walked slowly, her pace as leisurely as if she were strolling in her own garden.

She raised her chin slightly, her gaze falling from above onto Lin Yan and the Lamp Demon.

"Have you two decided what to do? Have you decided how you want to die? Will you be burned or hacked to death?"

She tilted her head, her tone suggesting she was asking what she wanted for dinner.

"Or do you prefer to be crushed into dust?"

With each step she took, Lin Yan would take a step back.

His back slammed into a broken concrete slab, leaving him with nowhere to retreat.

Tears streamed down the dust off his face, leaving streaks of grayish-white tears.

"I was wrong, I was really wrong. I shouldn't have gotten involved with Gu Yan. How could I have been so foolish as to try and steal his woman?"

"How could I dare? How could I possibly dare? Everyone around him is a monster, absolutely everyone."

Just then, a black crack silently tore open behind him.

The edges of the crack were serrated with golden light, and a completely unfamiliar power fluctuation permeated the air.

The fluctuations did not belong to the Great Xia superhuman system; they were cold and ancient.

A hand emerged from the crack.

The hand was gloved with black gloves, and the fingertips were embroidered with golden runes, each of which was slowly rotating.

Then comes the whole figure.

A tall, slender figure in a black robe stepped out from the crack, the hem of his cloak fluttering gently in the still air.

He wore a silver mask with only a single vertical eye pattern on it, staring intently at Shen Youwei.

He didn't say a word, but simply reached out and grabbed Lin Yan by the back of his collar.

With his other hand, he grabbed the Lamp Demon's claw and dragged the massive body toward the crevice.

His movements were as fast as a black lightning bolt; no one present saw how he made his move.

Gu Yan's pupils contracted sharply. "Stop! Leave him here."

Shen Youwei slashed with her sword, the blade tearing through the air as it struck the masked man.

The masked man didn't turn around, but raised his hand and created a black barrier in front of him.

The blade struck the barrier, exploding into a blinding red light, and a tiny crack appeared on the barrier.

The black-robed man's body swayed slightly, and the shockwave tore a hole in the hem of his cloak, from which wisps of black mist seeped out.

He paid the price, but did not linger, dragging Lin Yan and the Lamp Demon away as they disappeared into the crevice.

The crack closed silently, leaving only a lingering, unfamiliar scent in the air.

Shen Youwei stared at the direction where the crack disappeared and stomped her foot hard.

The heel of the high heel shattered the stone slab beneath her feet, sending fragments flying several meters away.

"If only my sister weren't strong enough, and if our fusion wasn't perfect enough."

"Someone like that, hiding his true colors, doesn't even think he's worthy of snatching someone from me."

She took a deep breath to suppress her anger, but the resentment in her eyes still burned.

Gu Yan ran up behind her, grabbed her shoulder, and checked her carefully. "Youyao, are you hurt?"

Shen Youwei looked up at him, a faint ripple flashing in her blood-red pupils.

"You can't possibly get hurt fighting that kind of trash."

Her voice regained its calmness, but there was an added layer to it, "But is she the only one you care about?"

"I was the one who kissed you just now, and I was the one who fought for you."

"You only have her name on your lips."

Gu Yan opened her mouth. "Aren't you the same person?"

Shen Youwei did not speak.

She merely narrowed her eyes slightly, her blood-red pupils staring straight at him, sending a chill down his spine.

The enforcement captain arrived with a group of disheveled enforcement officers.

"Master Gu, are you alright? If anything happened to you in our jurisdiction, we would gladly die."

He turned to look at Shen Youwei, stood at attention, and bowed deeply.

A dozen or so law enforcement officers behind her bowed in unison. "Thank you, Madam, for saving our lives. You saved the lives of everyone on this street today."

Shen Youwei paused slightly when she heard the word "Madam".

The coldness in her eyes lessened, and the corners of her mouth curved slightly, a very small and faint curve, yet it carried a natural nobility.

"You guys know what's good for you."

She closed her eyes, and the blood-red pupils slowly faded.

When those eyes reopened, they had turned back to a soft, deep brown.

Shen Youyao blinked, looking at the dozen or so law enforcement officers in front of her who were still bowing, and her voice began to tremble again.

"Brother Gu Yan, why are they bowing?"

Her ears were so red they could fry an egg on them, and she shrank behind him.

She can still recall the feeling of that kiss.
