Huayu Entertainment: The Birth of a Succubus Top Star

Zhou Ye was taken aback, not expecting Liu Haochun to suggest sleeping together.

Let's team up then, who's afraid of who?

The two young ladies lay side by side on the bed, exchanged a few awkward words, and then closed their eyes to sleep.

The two simply didn't get along and couldn't connect, so being in the same bed made them both feel a bit awkward.

However, despite saying they were going to sleep, neither of them was actually asleep; they were both pretending to be asleep and staring at each other.

She was afraid that if she fell asleep, the other person would sneak into Xiaoyan's room.

I don't know what time it was, but we couldn't stay awake any longer and finally fell asleep.

Clearly, their night was wasted; even if someone went to Gu Zhiyan's room, they couldn't find her.

Because Gu Zhiyan didn't come back at all that night; he was with Qin Lan.

Gu Zhiyan also stayed up all night, working through the night.

However, he was full of energy and remained energetic the next day.

Zhou Ye and Liu Haochun, on the other hand, were yawning non-stop early in the morning.

"Did neither of you sleep well last night?"

Seeing the two young ladies looking like this, Gu Zhiyan couldn't help but ask.

Zhou Ye: "I stayed up too late watching dramas yesterday."

Liu Haochun: "I'm not a good sleeper, and I didn't sleep well last night."

Gu Zhiyan didn't think much of it, but why are you two blushing?

Liu Haocun: Damn you, you jealous person! If you're going to sleep, just sleep. Why are you clinging to her like an octopus? And reaching out your hands everywhere!

Zhou Ye: I'm used to sleeping with Sister Meng, it was an unconscious action, so it's not my fault!

The movie premiered yesterday and officially went on sale today.

Gu Zhiyan also has to travel with the film crew for promotional tours.

Fortunately, the roadshow itinerary was not long, with only two stops in Shanghai and Chongqing.

What puzzled Gu Zhiyan was that Zhou Ye hadn't come to see him these past few days.

Could it be that my period has started?

What he didn't know was that neither Zhou Ye nor Liu Haochun was willing to admit defeat, so they endured the awkwardness and slept together every day.

"Sleep quietly and don't touch me."

The roadshow is all over today, and everyone will go their separate ways tomorrow, but Liu Haochun still couldn't help but remind them.

She was a little scared. Could this lemon spirit be a notification between the man and woman?

I've reminded her several times, but she's still incorrigible and has even gotten worse.

Liu Haochun suspected that the other party was deliberately taking advantage of her.

Zhou Ye: Hehe, it was on purpose!

She had finally found a way to deal with this vixen, and she wasn't about to give up so easily.

Of course, that's not how it should be said.

"I didn't do it on purpose, I'm just a little restless when I sleep. Just bear with it, it's the last night. If you're scared, I'll go back to sleep tonight."

"Who's scared? Go to sleep." Liu Haochun rolled his eyes.

It's the last day, she definitely won't give up halfway.

Zhou Ye: Aren't you scared? Just wait and see how I deal with you today!

We must make the most of this last day's opportunity.

"What are you doing? You little scoundrel!"

Zhou Ye was unusually active today, grabbing and kneading someone's small steamed bun, which woke up Liu Haochun, who was already asleep.

Liu Haochun glanced at Zhou Ye. Despite her loud voice, he didn't wake up and just turned over, still asleep.

She quickly moved away from Zhou Ye.

Not long after, Liu Haochun fell asleep.

Then, she was woken up again.

This was repeated many times...

Liu Hao really wanted to kick Zhou Ye off the bed.

Finally, dawn broke, and Liu Haochun got up early, said goodbye to Brother Xiaoyan, and left immediately.

On the way to the film set, Gu Zhiyan noticed that Zhou Ye seemed to be in a particularly good mood, and he kept grinning like an idiot.

What good thing happened to this girl?

……

As soon as he returned to the film set, Zhou Ye immediately shared with Sister Meng how she dealt with that vixen Liu Haochun.

"Ono, you're so naughty."

Sister Meng's eyes widened as she listened.

Zhou Ye's actions were truly outrageous.

"What are you two talking about? Come on, let's try making cheongsams for you."

As soon as Gu Zhiyan arrived at the film set, Da Tiantian told him that the cheongsams ordered for Sister Meng and Zhou Ye had arrived.

The measurements were taken by someone from the film set, which was naturally arranged by Xiuxiu.

As long as the money is right, this is not a problem.

"Yes, it fits perfectly and looks beautiful."

Da Tiantian looked at Sister Meng and Zhou Ye, who had changed into their cheongsams, and praised them.

"It's really good." Gu Zhiyan nodded in satisfaction.

Well, today we can enjoy a qipao show by two young ladies.

That evening, a unique cheongsam show was held in Gu Zhiyan's room, lasting until late at night.

Gu Zhiyan felt a little regretful that it would have been better if Tian Tian could have come along too.

Well, Gu Zhiyan was just daydreaming; he definitely couldn't mention this to the three young ladies.

……

"Better Days" faced many competitors during the same period, but its performance was far superior, completely dominating the market.

Hypnotic Verdict, a crime thriller starring Nick Cheung and Zhang Han.

"Ittefaq" is an imported Indian suspense film.

Maleficent 2, a Disney fantasy film starring Angelina Jolie.

Gemini Man, an action-drama film directed by Li An and starring Will Smith.

These movies were quite disappointing.

At a time when the overall film market was sluggish, "Better Days" almost single-handedly revitalized the entire market.

"Better Days" grossed over 100 million yuan in just 4 hours and 45 minutes on its opening day, raking in 2.25 million yuan on its first day and over 2.68 million yuan on its second day, leaving its competitors far behind.

It grossed over 12 billion yuan in just one week after its release.

After its release, the movie "Better Days" quickly gained popularity and received a high initial score of 8.7 on Douban.

With nearly 10 people rating it, it remains stable at a high level of 8.6 or 8.7.

The fact that Douban, known for its stringent standards, gave it this score has been described by the media as "a resounding success."

Many viewers and film critics who have seen it have called it: "My favorite movie I saw in theaters this year," "A true surprise of the year," "The best Chinese-language film of the year so far," and "A powerful and meaningful masterpiece of Chinese cinema"...

The terms "Gu Zhiyan's divine acting skills", "Gu Zhiyan's award-winning performance", "Liu Haochun, Chen Nian", and "Zhou Ye, Wei Lai" have remained high on the trending search list.

The jokes in the movie have become the audience's "social currency".

For example, the phrase "Bei Yan Bei Yu" (a play on words, meaning "Northern Language"), which imitates Xiao Bei's speech, and the desire to shave one's head and wear a hoodie as a kind of "after-effect" after watching the movie, gave rise to the trending topics "After-effects of Becoming You" and "Bei Yan Bei Yu".

The film's high quality, positive reputation, and social significance have also attracted attention from all sectors of society.

Renowned sociologist Li Yinhe wrote a long article strongly recommending the film after watching it.

Renowned writer and scholar Yi Zhongtian also gave "Better Days" a high score of 92.

In addition to film industry professionals, experts, and scholars, educators also highly praised the film "Better Days" for its direct address of "school bullying" and the social concern it presented.

As a realistic youth film, "Better Days" not only brings the audience a wonderful audiovisual experience and sincere emotional expression, but also sparks heated discussions among the public about the sense of mission and social responsibility behind the film.

The social discussion sparked by the film goes far beyond the realm of entertainment. Because it directly confronts school bullying, related topics have not only repeatedly topped the trending searches, but it has also received comments from official media such as People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency, bringing the social issue of "school bullying" into the public eye.

"Better Days" achieved both box office and critical success.
