Huayu Entertainment: The Birth of a Succubus Top Star

"Brother Yan, I don't want to compromise on this."

Peng Yuchang briefly explained the ins and outs of the matter, and then said this last sentence.

Peng Yuchang sought out Gu Zhiyan mainly because Gu Zhiyan was the most influential person among his acquaintances.

Moreover, Yan Ge had told him before that he could ask the other party for help if he had any difficulties.

Although Peng Yuchang knew this might just be a polite remark, he really couldn't find anyone else to help him. The people he knew either didn't have enough influence or the relationships weren't good enough.

He considered his relationship with Gu Zhiyan to be alright, and always regarded himself as Gu's "little brother".

It's perfectly acceptable for a younger brother to ask his older brother for help, right?

Capital is not so easy to offend, and he was uneasy without anyone to back him up.

"Peng Peng, go for it! I support you. If you have any problems, just come to me." Gu Zhiyan reassured Peng Yuchang.

Peng Yuchang is a good kid, so I'll help him if I can, and besides, I've always disapproved of this kind of thing.

Besides, this is a piece of cake for him.

The biggest investor and producer behind "The Last Wish" is really not worth mentioning.

"Is it Peng Yuchang?"

After Gu Zhiyan hung up the phone, Da Xizi asked.

"Hmm," Gu Zhiyan nodded, "He's prepared to fight the production company to the end, so he came to me for support."

"Brother Xiaoyan, it sounds like you're planning to help him," Reba added.

Gu Zhiyan didn't hide his phone call from the girls, so they heard his reply clearly.

"Peng Peng is a good person. I'll help if I can. It's just something I can do." Gu Zhiyan nodded.

"Look, Peng Yuchang's studio posted on Weibo," Zhu Xudan suddenly said.

Gu Zhiyan took a look and confirmed it was true.

Peng Yuchang's studio issued a statement condemning the film's opening credits for obscuring the actors' billing order and stating that they have terminated their contract with the film's production company, accusing the production company of serious breach of contract, and that Peng Yuchang will pursue legal action to protect his rights.

Peng Yuchang was quite quick.

Following Peng Yuchang's statement, WDL Studio also issued a statement.

He stated that when he was invited to star in the film, he was signed as the "male lead" or "first male protagonist," not as an artist who was "outranked."

Gu Zhiyan suspected that the two of them had planned this together.

The production company has not yet responded.

Since he had agreed to support Peng Yuchang, Gu Zhiyan naturally had to take action.

Okay, I'll post a Weibo update.

"Support Peng Peng. Hengye's actions constitute fraud. @Peng Yuchang, you can contact me if you need legal support."

"Thank you, Brother Yan @Gu Zhiyan".

Soon after, Peng Yuchang expressed his gratitude on Weibo.

No sooner had Gu Zhiyan posted on Weibo than Wang Sicong followed suit and reposted Gu Zhiyan's Weibo post.

This guy even called me after posting on Weibo.

"Why did you steal my lines?"

Wang Sicong originally planned to post a Weibo comment about this matter, and his prepared statement was "Hengye's actions already constitute fraud."

However, he originally planned to delete it after posting it.

Wanda is currently embroiled in numerous issues, so he needs to keep a low profile.

But if I don't express my opinion, I feel itchy to do so, so I post it and then delete it, just pretending it was a slip of the hand.

Now, we definitely can't delete it. If we do, he'll lose face in front of his brothers.

However, with Gu Zhiyan leading the way, his popularity won't be too high.

Gu Zhiyan and Wang Sicong chatted for a few minutes before hanging up the phone.

He had just told a few young ladies not to get involved in this matter, but they had already retweeted his Weibo post.

It's all Wang Sicong's fault, why did he make that phone call?

However, getting involved is fine, it's not a big problem.

Besides, by this time, many older women who had seen her Weibo posts had already reposted them.

As Gu Zhiyan spoke out, the matter escalated, and related topics quickly rose to the top of the trending searches, sparking heated discussions.

"Waaah, I'm so touched. As Peng Peng's fan, I'm so grateful to Brother Yan for speaking up for me."

"Gu Zhiyan truly lives up to his reputation as the 'big brother,' he's always ready to step up when needed."

"This is really outrageous by the production company. Are they treating the actors like idiots, or the audience like idiots?"

"Don't overestimate the bottom line of capital. This is most likely something the production company did intentionally to create hype and attract attention. They just probably didn't expect to encounter such a stubborn actor who actually terminated his contract."

"Gu Zhiyan's character is truly impeccable. No wonder he's so popular. As soon as he speaks out, many celebrities repost his Weibo posts to express their opinions. He really has an unparalleled influence!"

"Let me correct you, the person upstairs. It should be said that it's except when it comes to women."

"Don't spread rumors about my brother. If what you're saying is true, Xiao Yan would have been exposed by female celebrities long ago. He just has more female friends."

……

The producers of "The Last Wish" naturally saw the public opinion. They originally wanted to brush it off, but they didn't expect Gu Zhiyan to step in.

They couldn't take it anymore. Not only was the public pressure too great, but more importantly, they didn't want to offend Gu Zhiyan.

If you need to kneel, kneel down now, otherwise who knows what trouble might arise after you kneel.

The production company immediately issued a statement, stating that Peng Yuchang, WDL, and Wei Daxun were all leading actors, and that Peng Yuchang and WDL were both listed as "male lead" when they signed contracts.

The production company acknowledged its mistake in blurring the billing order of lead actor Peng Yuchang in the main film and apologized to Peng Yuchang, WDL, and their fans.

Wei Daxun: Is there anything else I need to do?

"Brother Yan, thank you. I'll treat you to a meal sometime."

Gu Zhiyan received another call from Peng Yuchang.

Gu Zhiyan: "Don't mention it, it's nothing."

Peng Yuchang: "Brother Yan, I've terminated my contract with the production company. I'd like to personally fund the movie's promotions, because I can't let down my fans. What do you think?"

Gu Zhiyan: "There's no need for that, but you should make the decision yourself."

Peng Yuchang: "Then I'll listen to Brother Yan and not participate in the promotion."

With that, the matter is considered closed.

A few days later, Da Xizi and Zhu Xudan finished filming and left the crew.

About half a month later, filming for "You Are My Glory" was completely wrapped up.

After the wrap party, Gu Zhiyan spent the night with Dilraba. The next day, he set off for the capital.

It was already late September, and National Day was just two days away.

In addition to attending the 70th anniversary military parade, Gu Zhiyan will also participate in a grand gala celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China during his trip back to Beijing.

Upon arriving in the capital, I first went home.

Sister Zhao's due date is in the next few days. After participating in the two activities mentioned above, Gu Zhiyan plans to stay at home for a few more days until Sister Zhao gives birth before going back to work.

This made Da Tiantian very anxious. The crew of "Si Teng" had already prepared everything and was just waiting for Gu Zhiyan to join the crew before filming began.

Surprisingly, even though filming for "You Are My Glory" has wrapped up, Gu Zhiyan's joining the new production is still uncertain.

In a great hurry, Da Tiantian rushed straight to her home.

Fortunately, she called Gu Zhiyan in advance, otherwise she would have gone to the wrong door.

After all, they've already moved and no longer live in the same place.

Da Tian Tian was stunned as soon as she entered the house.

The two children appeared in front of her.

No need to guess, those eyebrows and eyes clearly belong to Gu Zhiyan.

What Da Tian Tian is more concerned about is, who is the mother of the child?
