Cao Kun shook his head: "There's no news from over there for now. I'm here to ask you some questions."

Tanisa: "Didn't I tell you everything last time? What else do you want to ask?"

"If a person sacrifices their life to gain the power of a curse, the cursed person will die within three days." Cao Kun asked, "Are you aware of such a curse?"

Tanisa scoffed, "So, you actually need my help now?"

Cao Kun said calmly, "You can choose to say it that way, or..."

With a flick of his wrist, Cao Kun produced a Soul Separation Talisman.

Tanisa's face paled, and fear flickered in her eyes.

She wisely explained, "There are many curses that require sacrificing one's own life, and there are also many curses that guarantee death within three days. What you've said is too general. Do you have any more details?"

Cao Kun thought for a moment: "During the curse, an evil spirit will always follow the cursed person. After three days, a hell passage will even appear, pulling the cursed person into hell."

That's what the movie "Falling into Hell" is like.

In the final moments of her life, the female protagonist fell onto the railway tracks.

Right there on that track, the ground suddenly cracked open, pulling the female protagonist into hell.

"Impossible," Tanisa categorically denied. "There can't be such a curse."

To open a portal to hell and drag people into hell is absurd; how could anyone possibly do that?

If the gates to hell were so easy to open, the demons of hell would have already escaped, and no one would be alive.

Cao Kun nodded.

Tanisa's words were similar to his own thoughts.

In movies, they can exaggerate at will, opening up a hell passage and pulling people into hell, and so on.

But when we look at reality, we still need to consider some logic.

Tanisa is right. If the gates to hell were so easy to open, there wouldn't be any living people left in this world.

Tanisa continued, "I do know about the evil spirits you mentioned following me."

The curse you mentioned must be the one who sacrificed their life to some evil spirit.

In exchange for the help of an evil spirit to kill someone.

This is a very low-level curse technique, which basically relies on the power of evil spirits.

Cao Kun: "But those who are cursed do indeed possess the power of the curse."

Tanisa: "Is the power of that curse not very strong?"

Cao Kun: "Indeed, they are not as good as the Mandela servants you trained, nor as good as the tricks you did in my shop before."

"That's right."

Tanisa's face showed more confidence: "The person casting the spell is not capable enough and can only attach a small portion of the curse power to the target."

The rest depends entirely on that evil spirit.

Tanisa's words confirmed Cao Kun's guess and relieved him.

He's not good at dealing with curses, but he's very good at dealing with evil spirits.

Cao Kun: "Is the strength of an evil spirit determined by the life of the person who offered the sacrifice?"

Tanisa: "Yes, but there are exceptions. If the evil spirit has some connection with the person who made the sacrifice, then it doesn't need to have many remaining lives to be controlled."

Cao Kun recalled the movie.

The old woman doesn't seem to have much to do with that evil spirit.

But the evil spirit was no pushover either; the female exorcist the heroine hired was killed by it.

"I understand, thank you for your explanation." Cao Kun put away the Soul Separation Talisman and prepared to put the bite guard back on Tanisa.

Tanisa pleaded, "Could you talk to me a little longer? Don't wear this."

"While I appreciate your answer, it does not mean your crimes can be forgiven."

Cao Kun put the bite guard on Tanisa and then turned and left the room.

Amanda, who was waiting outside, immediately came up to him and asked eagerly, "How did it go?"

Cao Kun smiled slightly: "I'm even more confident that I can save your life."

Amanda breathed a long sigh of relief; Cao Kun's words had eased much of her anxiety and fear.

We had lunch at Douglas's house again.

Douglas also asked when he could transfer Catherine's soul.

Cao Kun said there has been some progress, but more time is needed.

Upon hearing this, Douglas sighed and asked no further questions.

Suddenly, Amanda screamed and dropped her knife and fork.

He jumped up, knocking over the chairs behind him.

Cao Kun walked over and put his arm around her shoulder: "What's wrong?"

Amanda pointed to the plate, her voice trembling: "I just saw a face grow out of that piece of meat, it was that old woman's face."

"That's an illusion caused by the curse; it's all fake."

Cao Kun slightly shook his hand and took out a Tranquilizing Talisman.

He folded the talisman into a triangle and placed it in Amanda's hand: "Close your eyes and think about this talisman."

Out of absolute trust in Cao Kun, Amanda immediately did as instructed.

Soon, all the negative emotions in her heart subsided.

My heart calmed down instantly.

She looked at the food again and found that everything was normal.

There's no old woman's face to be seen.

Once everything was back in place and they sat down again, Douglas asked, "What's with this curse? It seems pretty powerful."

Cao Kun recounted the whole story, and Douglas, after listening, sighed, "I've been in business for so many years and I've met a lot of people. I've seen quite a few of the kind of people you're talking about."

However, this is the first time I've seen something go this far. Ms. Amanda is really unlucky.

Upon hearing the word "bad luck," Amanda and Cao Kun exchanged a glance, a wry smile appearing on their faces.

Amanda brought this "bad luck" entirely on herself.

However, this time the bad luck is particularly severe.

Amanda would accept anything else, but to die was definitely not an option.

After lunch, Cao Kun and Amanda said goodbye to Douglas and returned to Amanda's house.

In this situation, Amanda is definitely unable to work and can't go anywhere unless Cao Kun is with her.

She listened to Cao Kun's advice and postponed all her work until three days later.

Amanda asked, "Will it take three days to resolve this problem?"

Cao Kun: "That big problem is there, but there's also a small problem that I'll solve for you tonight."

"What little trouble?" Amanda asked, somewhat curious.

"You'll find out tonight," Cao Kun said, without revealing the reason.

Amanda immediately became excited.

Just then, Amanda felt a sweet taste in her throat, and a metallic taste instantly filled her mouth.

Her face changed drastically, and she rushed into the bathroom, where she vomited a mouthful of blood.

Cao Kun followed her to the bathroom, and when he saw the blood in the toilet, his brows furrowed deeply.

Amanda's face visibly paled.

The fear she had suppressed surged up again: "Damn it, what's wrong with me?"

Cao Kun: "The power of curses also belongs to evil forces and can cause certain damage to the body."

Amanda: "Can you help me get rid of it?"

Cao Kun: "Not now."

"Now?" Amanda seemed to understand something.

She wanted to ask more, but Cao Kun stopped her with a look.

Amanda wisely put aside the following questions and began cleaning the toilet.

Around 10 p.m.

The window, which was clearly closed, suddenly opened by itself.

A gust of wind blew in, causing the curtains to flutter high.

A sudden chill filled the bedroom; I couldn't tell if it was from the wind or something else.

On the bed, Cao Kun and his companion, who had been embracing each other as if they were asleep, suddenly opened their eyes.

Cao Kun spoke calmly, "They've finally arrived."
