While in Hollywood, I used Taoist magic to quell American terrorism.

If someone else had said that, they would have just taken it as a compliment.

But that's what Cao Kun said.

It was Cao Kun, the man who turned "Homeless Superman" into a box office bomb and sent an art-house film actress to the Oscar stage, who said that.

"Very good!"

Permat excitedly pumped his fist, his usually tense face now beaming with smiles.

"I knew it! I knew this bet was right!"

Cao Kun walked outside.

Cao Kun walked to the door, then suddenly stopped and looked back at Jon Fat.

"Jon."

"Here! Boss!" Jon-Fat Ru immediately stood at attention.

"Add a post-credits scene."

Cao Kun said calmly, "Let the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. show his face, and find a one-eyed guy to play the role."

The line is just one: "Do you think you're the only superhero in the world?"

Jon Favour was taken aback: "S.H.I.E.L.D.? That's...?"

Avi, however, instantly realized what was happening and gasped, "Was that to set up the Avengers later?"

Cao Kun smiled, offered no explanation, and pushed open the door to leave.

Only three Hollywood professionals remained in the room, stunned and bewildered by this enormous concept.

Los Angeles in July is sweltering.

By the pool at Cao Kun's villa, under a parasol.

Amanda, wearing a bikini and waving a check in her hand, couldn't stop smiling.

"Damn, look!"

She handed the check to Cao Kun: "This is the first dividend from 'Cars'."

I did voice acting for a few hours, and I got paid more than I would have made for a teen movie.

Pixar merchandise is selling like hotcakes.

Next to her, Jessica Alba was applying sunscreen to her legs.

"Me too."

Jessica took off her sunglasses, her eyes bright: "My agent said that car brands are already booked until next year to have me as their spokesperson."

They said my voice was sexy and perfect for a Porsche.

In early June, "Cars" was released.

Although critics' opinions on the film were polarized, its box office and merchandise sales were phenomenal.

Amanda and Jessica reaped huge benefits from voicing the two main female characters.

Without showing his face or staying up all night filming, he gained global popularity solely through his voice.

Cao Kun took a sip of ice water: "Easy money, just take it."

"Buzzing".

The phone on the table vibrated a few times.

The succubus Chris peeked halfway out of the phone, visible only to Cao Kun, of course.

"Master, here is a report on the ladies' schedules."

Chris reports to the director:

Scarlett is in Central Park, New York, filming the famous musical scene from "Enchanted".

She texted me saying her skirt was too heavy and she almost twisted her ankle, and wanted me to come over tonight... to "comfort" her.

Cao Kun: "Tell her to bear with it."

Chris chuckled and continued, "Megan is at the White Sands Missile Range."

Michael is an explosive person; Megan said she rolled in the sand for eight hours today.

But she was very excited, saying she saw a lot of real stuff.

"It's quieter over there in Monica's area."

The crew of "Being a Mother" is filming in a closed environment.

She was very dedicated, saying she wanted to fulfill that promise and give the role the best it could be.

Cao Kun nodded.

Everyone is on the right track, which is good.

At that moment, the courtyard gate opened.

A nanny van drove in.

Rachel McAdams got out of the car, carrying a script bag. She looked a little tired, but her eyes were still sharp.

As the newly crowned Oscar-winning actress, her aura is now far stronger than before.

She walked to the edge of the pool, kicked off her high heels, and sat down on the lounge chair next to Cao Kun.

"I'm exhausted."

Rachel rubbed her temples: "Is this the price of fame?"

Every day, besides reading scripts, I also meet with producers.

Those notebooks... they're all garbage.

She casually tossed the script bag on the ground, turned to look at Cao Kun, and her eyes became fiery.

"Damn, I turned down three romantic comedies and two thrillers."

Rachel leaned forward and placed her hands on Cao Kun's knees: "I don't want to repeat myself, and I don't want to act in bad movies."

Do you have any other projects like "Walking with Songs" in hand?

Upon hearing this, Amanda and Jessica immediately stopped what they were doing and looked over at the same time.

While voice acting can be lucrative, an actor's foundation still lies in films where they appear on screen.

Especially after seeing Rachel win the Best Actress award, their ambitions had long been uncontrollable.

"Yeah, damn it."

Amanda swam over, lay down on the edge of the pool, and looked up: "After V for Vendetta, all the movies that have been asking me to star in are action movies."

I want to act in something deeper, or... a big-budget production like "Hancock."

Jessica chimed in, "Me too."

Although Fantastic Four was a hit, everyone said I was just a pretty face.

Could you keep an eye out for me too? Even if the pay is lower, it's fine.

Three women, three pairs of eyes, stared intently at Cao Kun.

One is an Oscar-winning actress, and the other two are rising stars.

At this moment, they resemble baby birds waiting to be fed.

Cao Kun put down his water glass and glanced at the three people.

"Of course there are projects."

Cao Kun said calmly, "But the projects I have are all very demanding."

"I'm not afraid of heights!" Rachel immediately declared, "as long as the notebook is good."

"I'm not afraid either!" Amanda and Jessica said in unison.

Cao Kun tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest, his mind racing with a list of films for the future.

Now that Iron Man has been launched, the Marvel Cinematic Universe needs to be developed more quickly.

Moreover, besides Marvel, there are many other box office bombs that could be detonated in advance.

"Rachel."

Cao Kun looked at the actress and asked, "Do you know Sherlock Holmes?"

Rachel was taken aback: "A Conan Doyle novel?"

"Guy Ritchie is preparing to reboot this IP and turn it into an action blockbuster."

Cao Kun said calmly, "The female lead, Irene Adler, is a smart, dangerous, and charming character."

It suits you perfectly right now.

Rachel's eyes lit up: "An action-packed Sherlock Holmes? That sounds interesting."

Amanda.

Cao Kun turned to look at the doll in the water: "Universal Pictures is preparing a musical, 'Mamma Mia!'"

Adapted from the Broadway musical of the same name.

"You need to be good at both singing and dancing, and also have a pure and cute image."

Amanda nearly jumped up: "Musicals? That's my forte!"

"As for Jessica..."

Cao Kun looked at Jessica's expectant eyes and pondered for a moment.

There is a low-budget thriller/action movie called Taken.

Although it's a male-dominated drama, the daughter's role is crucial.

Moreover, this movie is going to be a hit.

Actually, the daughter in the original version wasn't particularly outstanding, but if Jessica had played the role, and with Cao Kun's help, they could have easily added scenes to change it into a father-daughter collaboration.

Especially with Jessica's figure and looks, even if she were just a pretty face, she would still make people scream in that movie.

Although Jessica hesitated a bit about the "daughter" label, she immediately nodded when she heard the words "will be a hit".

"I'll take it!"

Cao Kun stood up and looked at the three excited women.

Don't be too happy yet.

I've pointed out the opportunity to you; whether you can seize it depends on your performance tonight.

Rachel smiled charmingly, stood up, and took Cao Kun's arm.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

It's getting dark soon.
