"I heard it from someone else," Scarlett said. "So, it's true?"

Scarlett blinked and looked at Cao Kun.

Since Cao Kun was unwilling to make things clear, she didn't press him further.

The question was simply, "Did you let Amanda compete for this role because you thought the movie would be a huge hit?"

Cao Kun: "Whether it will be a huge hit, I don't know, but it will definitely be a great help to Amanda's career."

Scarlett: "So, what do you think of my 'The Island'?"

Cao Kun: "Let's change the subject."

Scarlett paused, then asked, "Master Cao, you don't think my sci-fi blockbuster is up to par?"

Since the matter had come to this point, Cao Kun no longer concealed anything: "Yes."

Scarlett asked, puzzled, "Why? Everyone in the industry is very optimistic about this movie."

Cao Kun: "If a film is guaranteed to be a success if everyone in the industry is optimistic about it, then there wouldn't be so many box office failures over the years."

There wouldn't be so many film companies going bankrupt because their movies failed.

After a moment of silence, Scarlett said, "I still think my movie is good."

Cao Kun: "It's a good thing to believe in your own work."

Scarlett suddenly laughed and said, "Master Cao, how about we make a pact?"

Cao Kun: "What agreement?"

Scarlett: "The Island and V for V are both going to be released next year, right? Let's see which one gets better reviews and makes more money."

The losing party must agree to one condition of the other party.

Cao Kun: "Are you sure?"

Scarlett: "Yes, I'm confident in my work."

Cao Kun didn't care; he was guaranteed to win anyway: "Okay."

Scarlett immediately extended her palm.

Cao Kun and she gave each other a high five, which marked the agreement as final.

Scarlett laughed and said, "Master Cao, you'd better be prepared to agree to my conditions."

Cao Kun then smiled and said, "I hope so."

In the afternoon, Scarlett called Hunter to the hotel and made him take a Spirit Transformation Pill.

Hunter immediately started shouting, completely shocked.

After finding out that the pill was bought from Cao Kun, his gaze towards Cao Kun became even more one of astonishment.

After Cao Kun returned to his room, Hunter quickly asked Scarlett, "Scarlett..."

Scarlett interrupted him: "Call me 'sister'."

Hunter: "You're only three minutes older than me."

Scarlett: "That's my older sister too."

"Alright, sis," Hunter said helplessly, changing his form of address, "Is there some other relationship between you and Master Cao?"

Scarlett: "No, we just have a simple client-client relationship."

Hunter immediately said, "Then why don't you hurry up and win him over? A man as powerful as Master Cao, you should stick close to him. In Hollywood, you'll be on a rocket to the top in no time."

Scarlett: "You're overthinking it. He has a girlfriend, who is also an actress."

Hunter said nonchalantly, "Go ahead and steal her. She's just a girlfriend, not a wife. Even if she were a wife, we could divorce her."

Scarlett glared at Hunter: "Where did you learn all this nonsense?"
