Survival in an apartment, starting with a stroke of luck on a plane

Lin Yu glanced at the landlord's corpse outside with disgust. Now it seemed that letting this beast die like this was too easy.

The diary entries stop around the time Liu Yue'er died and Liu Xiangxiang was informed.

The following few pages only contain a hastily recorded account of how Liu Xiangxiang tormented him after she became a vengeful ghost, and how he felt terrified and desperate after searching for several days without finding anyone who could resolve the matter.

And most importantly, the process of the "Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain" taking the initiative to come to the door and seal the evil spirit.

Yes, in his diary, the monk approached him on his own initiative. The landlord didn't really know much about him. After Liu Xiangxiang went mad, he didn't care much about this crazy woman.

But shortly after, Liu Xiangxiang set herself on fire at home, and after her death, she and the other residents who were burned to death became ghosts, killing many residents and even coming after him.

The landlord then realized he was scared and hurriedly sought out a master to help Liu Xiangxiang.

But it's not easy to find a truly capable person. The landlord searched for three days but couldn't find one.

During those three days, he was almost driven mad by Liu Xiangxiang's torment. Liu Xiangxiang's ghost must have been conscious; she didn't kill him, but instead tormented him relentlessly.

Just before the landlord was about to go crazy, a turning point came when the Taoist priest who claimed to be a master from Longhu Mountain approached him and said he could resolve the situation.

The landlord, with no other option but to try anything, agreed to the other party's request and said that he would pay whatever amount of money the other party wanted as long as he could resolve the situation.

To the landlord's surprise, this expert actually solved the problem of the ghosts.

The landlord was overjoyed. He was usually very stingy, but he was unusually generous and gave the Taoist priest a large sum of money.

Before leaving, the expert pointed to Liu Xiangxiang's room on the fifth floor and said that those ghosts were too fierce, and he could not completely deal with them. He could only seal them all in the room and use a divine sword inside to destroy them.

He told the landlord that he had already cast a spell on the house, so no one could enter and the ghosts inside couldn't get out, but the landlord still had to send someone to curse and swear at the house every month.

Furthermore, one must utter words that would enrage the evil spirit Liu Xiangxiang and suppress the ghostly energy within. In this way, after about twenty years, the divine sword within should be able to obliterate the evil spirit.

The landlord naturally dared not disbelieve, so every month he would send someone to the door to curse Liu Xiangxiang, and this continues to this day.

Afterwards, perhaps because he was tortured too badly by Liu Xiangxiang, his perverted fetish was scared away and he never dared to do such things again.

Therefore, he locked up this sinful diary as a "souvenir" to this day.

Lin Yu closed the diary, feeling that his hands were covered in filth.

He took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, and left the disgusting room with the diary.

After saying goodbye to Boss Wang and the others, Lin Yu returned to his apartment and began to piece together the whole incident by combining the contents of the diary, Granny Chen's gossip, the homeless man's story, and Boss Wang's few words.

①The perverted landlord kidnapped, tortured, and killed Liu Yue'er because of his own hobby, and deliberately showed off the details to Liu Xiangxiang.

② Liu Xiangxiang suffered a mental breakdown. Some time later, she committed suicide by self-immolation in her fifth-floor apartment (There are doubts: what was the reason for Liu Xiangxiang's self-immolation? Was it a simple suicide or was it intentional?).

③ Liu Xiangxiang and the tenant who was burned to death turned into evil spirits and began to kill indiscriminately and torture the landlord (it can be confirmed that Liu Xiangxiang was definitely conscious at the time, otherwise the landlord could not have survived, she must have been seeking revenge).

④ Just as the landlord was about to break down, a "Taoist priest" with a suspicious identity came to his door, claiming that he could get rid of evil spirits, and he did indeed do so.

⑤ The sorcerer placed a [ghost-suppressing lock] and a [ghost-suppressing talisman] at the door of the house where Liu Xiangxiang committed suicide, claiming that he had "sealed" the evil spirit inside the house. However, to completely kill the evil spirit, he needed to use a "divine sword" inside the house to wear it down over twenty years. He also asked the landlord to send someone to the door every week to curse Liu Xiangxiang.

This explains why the evil spirit has survived to this day, because the Taoist priest was also unable to deal with Liu Xiangxiang, who had transformed into a ghost.

But Lin Yu still felt it was too far-fetched. After all... if even a Taoist with a silver-level artifact couldn't defeat Liu Xiangxiang, what was the point of these "newcomers" coming? Were they just going to throw their lives away?

To be honest, even if a game with a bizarre theme is very difficult, it shouldn't be so difficult that players have absolutely no chance of completing it.

Therefore, Lin Yu felt that there should still be some doubts.

Lin Yu shook his head helplessly and continued to think.

⑥ To this day, twenty-three years have passed, and the seal is about to break, but the evil spirit Liu Xiangxiang in the fifth-floor room is still alive, and some of her little ghosts have even come out to hurt people.

Lin Yu's current known storyline is clear, but... side quest 2 is still not completed.

Clearly, the storyline he came up with still has flaws.

To reiterate, what is the monk's identity and motive? Why would he take the initiative to approach him? Was it merely for money?

Would a heretical cultivator who can produce silver-level artifacts be short of money from a landlord? What is his true purpose in suppressing evil spirits?

Furthermore, what is this "divine sword"? The diary mentions that the monk said there was a divine sword in the house that was grinding away evil spirits.

Does this divine sword truly exist? If so, why wasn't Liu Xiangxiang destroyed? Did she fail?

If not, then what was the sorcerer's purpose in lying? Or perhaps the divine sword truly exists, but its effect isn't to obliterate evil spirits?

Finally, the truth behind Liu Xiangxiang's self-immolation: did she truly commit suicide out of despair?

Or perhaps she did it on purpose, knowing that she would become a demon after death and thus wanting to gain the power of revenge in this way.

All the arrows eventually pointed to that mysterious "mage"!

A glint of light flashed in Lin Yu's eyes.

To uncover the "truth about the building," we must either find out who the sorcerer is or figure out all his plans and purposes.

But now, the monk has disappeared without a trace.

The only possible clue connecting them is the ghost of the little girl wandering outside the sealed gate—Liu Yue'er.

"I must find her! Or... lure her out!" Lin Yu made up his mind.

He immediately got up and went to find Boss Wang again.

At that moment, Boss Wang and some bolder residents were dealing with the body.

"Boss Wang, let's talk in private." Lin Yu pulled him aside and cut to the chase: "I know you have a way. I must find the ghost of that little girl, Liu Yue'er! She's the key to solving everything!"
