Courtyard House: I Have Countless Bodyguards

Chapter 81 Crushing the Longjin Heiji Society

Seeing this, the Dragon Rising Gang assassins behind him were greatly encouraged. They formed groups of three, providing cover for each other, and their tactical coordination was skillful. Their killing efficiency was extremely high, and they drove the Dragon Jin He Yi Society henchmen, who had a numerical advantage, back in defeat.

Uncle Long's originally ferocious face quickly lost its color and turned pale as Jian Yi advanced like cutting melons and vegetables.

He watched helplessly as his most capable leaders were taken down in just two moves by Jian Yi.

Those members of the Dragon Rising Gang were all taciturn, yet ruthless and coordinated perfectly. It was less like a gang fight and more like a well-trained army crushing a rabble.

This wasn't a fight; it was a massacre.

A chill ran from Uncle Long's feet straight to the top of his head. He had been in the underworld for decades and had never seen such terrifying people and teams.

"The wind's blowing hard! Let's get out of here! Brothers, let's get out of here!"

Uncle Long mustered all his strength and let out a distorted roar. No longer caring about his boss status, he turned around and, surrounded by several trusted men, scrambled and crawled into the depths of the alley.

With their boss running away, the henchmen, already terrified, instantly collapsed.

"Run!"

"Even Uncle Long has run away!"

"These guys are jinxes! Run!"

Screams and cries filled the air. The remaining people completely lost their will to fight, dropped their weapons, and scattered like headless flies, wishing they had two more legs.

The streets, which had been filled with shouts of battle just moments before, were now filled with writhing, groaning wounded, abandoned weapons, and pools of horrifying blood.

Jian Yi did not order a pursuit; he simply stood there with his sword, the tip still dripping blood.

Liu Jianguo's cold gaze swept over the routed enemy troops, and he gave a concise order to Jian Yi, who stood beside him like a drawn sword:

"Sword One, lead your men and push forward, drive them back to their lair."

"Yes, my lord."

Jian Yi responded in a deep voice, then turned around and swung his cleaver forward with a thunderous roar:

"Dragon Rising Gang, charge! Leave no one alive!"

The order was given like a landslide. The well-trained assassins moved with perfect ease, instantly transforming into several sharp blades that pierced through the chaotic enemy ranks.

The remnants of the Longjin Heyi Society had long lost their courage and were unable to mount any effective resistance. They fled in despair, crying and screaming.

The Longxing Gang pressed on relentlessly, driving the defeated soldiers away until they were driven back to their final stronghold—a three-story brick building with a dilapidated sign for the Longjin Chess and Card Room, filled with smoke and grime.

Uncle Long's face was ashen, and he leaned against the creaking door frame of the card room, his chest heaving violently.

He watched helplessly as his last remaining asset, the more than two hundred men originally sent to block other directions and delay the elite troops under Jian Er to Jian Shi, were reduced to only a few dozen defeated soldiers, their armor and weapons discarded and covered in blood, who fled back like stray dogs.

Adding to his still-shaken confidants, the total number of combat-ready men gathered together was less than a hundred.

Outside the card room, the silent yet fierce figures of the Longxing Gang had formed an impenetrable encirclement. A chilling sense of despair instantly gripped Uncle Long's heart; he understood that the tide had turned, and there was no turning back.

He took a deep breath of the blood-stained, foul air, suppressing the fear and despair in his heart. He pushed away the henchman who was helping him, staggered forward a few steps, forced a smile that was more like a grimace, and shouted outside:

"Brothers of the Dragon Rising Gang, please show mercy. I, Uncle Long, admit defeat. The rules of the underworld dictate that the victor is king and the loser is an outlaw. Let's draw up a line and discuss our terms. As long as you're given a way out, anything is negotiable."

Upon hearing this, Jian Yi sneered, his blood-stained face revealing undisguised contempt.

He stepped forward, the blood-stained tip of his knife pointed directly at Uncle Long, his voice resolute and leaving no room for negotiation:

"Talk? What do you have to talk about? Your lives, this territory, and everything inside now belong to Longxing. What right do defeated generals have to negotiate?"

The ravenous assassins behind him took a step forward in unison, their invisible killing intent instantly spreading out, making it almost impossible for Uncle Long and the others to breathe.

Uncle Long's facial muscles twitched violently. His last glimmer of hope was completely shattered, replaced by a desperate, mad frenzy.

"Alright! Alright! Alright! Brothers, let's fight them to the death, kill them all and make it worthwhile."

He roared, brandishing his machete, and led his last hundred or so men in a desperate, suicidal charge.

However, in the midst of the chaos caused by the all-out attack, the lean man dressed in black, who had been hiding in the shadows behind Uncle Long and clutching a bundle, suddenly turned around, smashed open the back door of the card room without hesitation, and ran desperately down a narrow, dark alley.

Liu Jianguo, who had been observing from a high vantage point, suddenly sharpened his gaze like an eagle. He exchanged a glance with Li Bing beside him, and the two of them, like cheetahs that had been lying in wait for a long time, silently left the main battlefield, turning into two black shadows and quickly giving chase.

The man in black sensed the pursuers were close by, a fierce glint flashed in his eyes, and without warning, he suddenly turned around and flicked his wrist.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Several poisoned, jet-black darts, accompanied by a piercing whistle, shot in a triangular formation toward Liu Jianguo and Li Bing's faces and chests.

It was a tricky angle and extremely ruthless.

Li Bing reacted extremely quickly, narrowly avoiding the attack with a side slide.

Liu Jianguo, however, neither dodged nor evaded. In the nick of time, his right hand shot out like a phantom, and his index and middle fingers precisely caught the poisoned dart that was aimed at his throat.

"Here you go."

Liu Jianguo gave a cold shout and exerted force with his wrist, causing the poisoned dart that had been caught to shoot back at an even faster speed.

The man in black hadn't expected his opponent to be so powerful. He hurriedly dodged, and the dart grazed his ear, leaving a trail of blood.

In that brief moment of hesitation, Li Bing pounced like a cheetah, delivering a sharp low sweep kick straight to the back of the opponent's knee. The man in black was also a ruthless character; he didn't take the blow head-on, but instead rolled forward, simultaneously drawing a gleaming short blade from his lower back and stabbing it back at Li Bing's abdomen like a venomous snake.

Their moves are insidious and vicious!

Li Bing remained calm under pressure, displaying his fighting skills to the fullest. He twisted his waist and shifted his steps, narrowly avoiding the blade tip. His elbow, like an iron hammer, slammed hard into the wrist of the man in black who was holding the knife.

"Snap!"

A clear cracking sound rang out. The short blade clattered to the ground. The man in black screamed in agony, his movements contorted by the excruciating pain.

Liu Jianguo followed closely, giving his opponent no chance to breathe, and delivered a heavy palm strike with precision to the back of the man's neck.

The man in black rolled his eyes, didn't utter a sound, and collapsed limply to the ground, unconscious.

The entire exchange lasted only a dozen seconds, yet it was extremely dangerous, demonstrating exceptional tactical skill and overwhelming strength.
