Transmigrated into the body of the vain and materialistic ex-girlfriend of a young master
Chapter 97 Why have you become so domineering?
Seeing that he didn't speak, Su Jingsheng thought he was unhappy, so she gently tugged at his sleeve with her slender white fingers.
"Jinghuai?" she called softly, "What's wrong?"
Bo Jinghuai snapped out of his daze. "It's nothing."
He glanced at the mountain of chips on the table, then looked at Su Jingsheng.
The little girl's dress today accentuated her long, white neck, and her long hair was loose, decorated with a matching headband.
It is a unique kind of gentle and obedient.
But deep down, he possesses a stubbornness that an Omega shouldn't have.
Bo Jinghuai suddenly lost interest in playing cards.
He pushed back his chair, stood up, and, amidst the astonished gazes of the surrounding Alphas, bent down and picked up Su Jingsheng.
"I'm not playing anymore," he said.
Su Jingsheng gasped softly, wrapping her slender arms around his neck: "Where are we going?"
"Let's go back to the room." Bo Jinghuai carried her towards the door.
Yan Sichen called out from behind, "Hey, Jing Huai, how many rounds have we even played yet?"
Bo Jinghuai didn't turn around, opened the door and walked out.
Su Jingsheng leaned on Bo Jinghuai's shoulder and whispered, "Jinghuai, what's wrong? Are you unhappy?"
"No," Bo Jinghuai said.
He paused, then turned to look at her: "Why do you want to earn your own money?"
Su Jingsheng blinked: "Because I want to rely on myself."
"Omega don't need to rely on themselves," Bo Jinghuai said. "That's just how the world works."
"But I don't want to rely on the rules." Su Jingsheng's voice was soft, yet very clear. "I just want to rely on myself."
Bo Jinghuai remained silent.
He carried her into the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor.
The elevator slowly ascended, and the mirrored wall reflected the two figures.
He saw himself holding her, such a petite little thing, nestled in his arms, her slender white legs dangling in the air, her skirt swaying gently with his movements.
He also saw her leaning on his shoulder, her profile quiet, her almond-shaped eyes lowered.
"Su Jingsheng," Bo Jinghuai suddenly spoke.
"Um?"
"Do you realize how dangerous your thinking is?"
Su Jingsheng looked up at him: "Why is it dangerous?"
"Because the rules don't allow it," Bo Jinghuai said.
"Omegas should be raised, pampered, and protected; they shouldn't have to compete for resources."
"Every concert they perform is a gift to their families before marriage, and a gift to their husbands' families after marriage."
"If you try to break the rules, a lot of people will be unhappy."
Su Jingsheng pursed her lips.
She recalled the original owner's memories, and those Omegas who, after being permanently marked, could only stay in the villa.
They could only wait for the Alpha to favor them, while they were confined to a small courtyard.
"But I don't want that," she whispered. "I want freedom."
Bo Jinghuai stared at her for a long time.
The elevator doors opened.
He carried her out and swiped his card to enter the suite.
He closed the door and placed Su Jingsheng on the low cabinet in the entryway.
The cabinet was the perfect height; when she sat on it, her line of sight was level with his.
Bo Jinghuai braced himself on either side of her, trapping her between his body and the wall.
"Freedom?" he repeated the word, his voice low. "What kind of freedom do you want?"
Su Jingsheng looked into his eyes.
Gone was the usual aloofness and arrogance; instead, there was a profound depth that she couldn't understand.
"The freedom to play the piano," she said. "The freedom to go wherever I want, the freedom to like whomever I want."
Bo Jinghuai pressed further, "Who do you like? Who do you like?"
Su Jingsheng blushed, not from embarrassment, but from fear of giving herself away.
She lowered her eyes: "I won't tell you."
Bo Jinghuai lowered his head, his forehead touching hers.
"Tell me," he said, his voice lower and more coaxing, "who do you like?"
Su Jingsheng fell silent.
Bo Jinghuai didn't pressure her, but he naturally assumed that she liked him.
He said, "Su Jingsheng, I can give you freedom, so that you will be different from other Omegas."
Su Jingsheng raised her eyes. She felt that her freedom did not need to be given by others.
Because she is free.
However, the girl was sensible and did not immediately refute him.
Bo Jinghuai stared into her eyes, "But you have to promise me one thing."
"Stay by my side until you can truly rely on yourself."
"I need your pheromones, and you need mine. We each get what we need, but don't even think about leaving me."
Su Jingsheng's heart beat a little faster. "I didn't mean to leave you."
"That's good," Bo Jinghuai said.
He put his arm around her waist, lifted her down from the low cabinet, and walked her into the bedroom step by step.
Bo Jinghuai placed her in the center of the bed and supported himself above her.
He looked at her small face, so white and soft, her almond-shaped eyes reflecting the dappled moonlight.
The cedar-scented pheromones spread silently, their cool scent carrying a distinct desire that clung to her.
Su Jingsheng grumbled in dissatisfaction and said softly, "You're releasing pheromones randomly again."
"Don't you like it?" Bo Jinghuai asked, his lips very close to hers.
Su Jingsheng pursed her lips; she liked it.
His pheromones were like medicine to her; when she was close to him, her body felt comfortable and light.
All illness and weakness have vanished.
Aside from making her cry, there are no other downsides.
"Not going to say anything?" Bo Jinghuai raised an eyebrow, his hand sliding down to grasp her slender waist.
Su Jingsheng gave a soft snort and shrank back.
Bo Jinghuai stared at her, recalling the moment in the chess and card room when she sat beside him, her small hands obediently resting on her knees, her slender white legs pressed together beneath her skirt, her ankles delicate.
The gazes of the surrounding Alphas drifted over to him, more or less, with scrutiny and covetousness, but they immediately looked away because of him.
He was suppressing his anger at the time.
Now that they're back in their room and there are no outsiders around, the fire they lit has turned into something else entirely.
"Su Jingsheng." He called her name, his voice a little hoarse.
"Um?"
"Wear longer skirts when you're out in the future," Bo Jinghuai said.
Su Jingsheng asked blankly, "Why? You bought this dress."
"The ones I bought won't do either." Bo Jinghuai's fingers caressed her waist. "They're too short."
He remembered the snow-white part of her skirt that slid up when she sat down.
I wanted to take her away right then and there.
Su Jingsheng muttered softly, "Why have you become so domineering? You used to allow me to wear short skirts."
