When Su Jingsheng woke up the next day, she felt a little different.

My body is no longer heavy.

I don't feel dizzy.

She threw back the covers and got out of bed, walked a few steps barefoot on the carpet, and then lightly hopped.

My legs are not weak, and my breathing is natural.

She jumped again, spun around in place, and didn't feel dizzy at all.

It's really healed.

Although it's unknown how long this will last, at least for now, she's like a normal person.

Su Jingsheng's eyes lit up. She smiled at herself in the mirror, then raised her arms, stood on tiptoe, and danced a few simple steps.

The movements were fluid, and the body was light.

Su Jingsheng stopped what she was doing, looked at herself in the mirror, and the corners of her lips slowly curved up.

She grabbed her phone from the bedside table, unlocked it, and opened Bo Jinghuai's chat window.

My fingers flew across the keyboard as I typed.

Good morning, my dear Jinghuai!

It was followed by a kissing emoji.

send.

Su Jingsheng hugged her phone, lay down on the bed, rolled around once, then lay face down on the pillow, staring at the screen waiting for a reply.

……

Bo's Group, rooftop conference room.

Executives sat on both sides of the long table, with Mr. Bo Xilai, his hair white and his face dignified, sitting at the head of the table.

Bo Jinghuai sat to the left of the old man, his face expressionless, listening to his subordinates report on the quarterly financial report.

My phone vibrated.

Bo Jinghuai lowered his eyes and glanced at the screen; it was actually Su Jingsheng.

He picked up his phone and opened the message.

Good morning, my dear Jinghuai!

It was followed by a kissing emoji.

Bo Jinghuai: "..."

He stared at the words for a few seconds, his ears turning red.

"Jinghuai".

Old Master Bo's voice rang out.

Bo Jinghuai did not react.

"Jinghuai." The old man's voice deepened.

Bo Jinghuai still didn't look up.

All executives, look over here.

Sitting opposite Bo Jinghuai, Pei Zixian, as a partner, pushed up his glasses and coughed lightly.

Bo Jinghuai then came to his senses and looked up.

Old Master Bo narrowed his eyes, looking at him. "What are you thinking about?"

Bo Jinghuai remained expressionless as he looked at the old man.

"It's nothing, please continue."

Old Master Bo stared at him for a few seconds before looking away and continuing the previous topic.

Bo Jinghuai looked back at the projection screen, his expression calm, but his fingers were under the table, quietly picking up his phone and typing.

[Su Jingsheng, can't you, a young lady, be a little more reserved?]

After thinking for a moment, he added another sentence.

[I'm not your darling.]

The phone vibrated quickly, and Su Jingsheng replied.

So what are you?

It was followed by a tilted-head question mark emoji.

Bo Jinghuai pursed his lips and started typing.

[You're the boss.]

Su Jingsheng replied instantly.

Good morning, Grandpa Jinghuai!

It was followed by a string of "yao yao da" emojis.

Bo Jinghuai stared at those expressions, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily turned up.

He quickly lowered his head, pretending to look at the documents, but the corners of his mouth were still turned up.

As Old Master Bo was speaking, he caught a glimpse of his grandson's barely suppressed smile out of the corner of his eye, and paused in his speech.

The other executives in the conference room also noticed it.

The young master seems a bit off today?

During meetings, Bo Jinghuai always had a cold face, sharp eyes, and an imposing aura.

Why do I feel a little romantic today?

Is it just my imagination?

Old Master Bo cleared his throat and continued speaking.

Bo Jinghuai tried hard to keep his expression straight, but his fingers typed a few more words on his phone.

Stay put and don't wander off. I'll be back.

Su Jingsheng quickly responded with a well-behaved nod.

Bo Jinghuai put down his phone and looked back at the projection screen.

……

The meeting lasted another half hour before finally ending.

The executives left one after another.

Old Master Bo didn't move. Only after everyone had left did he look at Bo Jinghuai.

"Jinghuai".

Bo Jinghuai stood up. "Grandpa."

Old Master Bo stared at him: "You're not acting right today."

Bo Jinghuai remained expressionless: "Is that so?"

"Yes," the old man said in a steady voice, "He was distracted during the meeting and even laughed while staring at his phone."

Bo Jinghuai paused, then remained silent.

Old Master Bo then asked, "Have you got a girlfriend?"

Bo Jinghuai immediately denied it: "No."

The old man narrowed his eyes: "That is..."

"A friend," Bo Jinghuai interrupted him, "an ordinary friend."

Old Master Bo looked at him for a few seconds, then waved his hand.

"Alright, go ahead."

Bo Jinghuai nodded and turned to walk out.

As they reached the door, the old man spoke again.

"Bring your female companion to the charity gala next week."

Bo Jinghuai stopped in his tracks, turned around, and looked at the old man.

"That girl from the Shen family is quite good," the old man said calmly.

"You grew up together and know each other inside and out."

Bo Jinghuai frowned: "I don't like her."

"Liking someone isn't important," the old man said, looking at him. "What matters is whether it's suitable."

Bo Jinghuai remained silent.

The old man continued, "The Shen family also intends to arrange a marriage; you should consider it."

Bo Jinghuai was silent for a few seconds, then said, "I understand."

After saying that, he opened the door and went out.

……

Bo Jinghuai drove back to his apartment.

Twenty minutes later, he pushed open the door.

Su Jingsheng was nestled on the sofa, holding a tablet and swiping her fingers across it.

Hearing the door open, she looked up, saw Bo Jinghuai, and her eyes lit up.

"Jinghuai~" she said softly, "Why are you back so early today?"

Bo Jinghuai sat down next to her, composed himself, and still maintained that arrogant yet noble and composed demeanor.

"I came back to see how you were doing." His voice was indifferent. "Did my pheromones burn your brain last night?"

Su Jingsheng smiled, tossed aside the tablet, and hopped into his arms.

Bo Jinghuai instinctively caught her.

Su Jingsheng wrapped her arms around his neck, looked up at him, and her eyes sparkled.

"Because I'm cured." Her voice was soft and happy.

"Jinghuai, let's get back together, okay?"

Bo Jinghuai paused.

Su Jingsheng continued, "I want you to give me pheromones, otherwise I feel uncomfortable."

Her voice was soft and a little aggrieved, "I feel a little uncomfortable and I want to cry. I can't hold it in."

Bo Jinghuai looked at her, frowning. "You just want pheromones?"

Su Jingsheng nodded, her eyes shining: "Mmm!"

She thought there was hope this time.

Bo Jinghuai's face immediately darkened.

"Oh," he said coldly. "No."

Su Jingsheng's happy expression froze.

She pouted, looking aggrieved, and leaned closer to him, pouting, "Why?"

Bo Jinghuai was aloof and noble, closing his eyes to avoid looking at the pretty face of the young girl.

He said sassily, "It just won't work."

He paused, opened his eyes, and looked at her. "And Su Jingsheng, who do you think I, Bo Jinghuai, am?"

"Given all the bad things you did back then, and the fact that you dumped me in the end, I absolutely refuse to get back together with you."

"I took you in because your pheromones are imbalanced, and I also suffer during my sensitive period. It's just a mutually beneficial arrangement."
