He paused, his tone unconsciously softening.

"Where are you now?"

"I'm in the hospital."

Bai Yishu arrived at the hospital early in the morning. Her father was recovering quite well today, and after communicating with the doctor, he could be discharged in a day or two.

"Okay, I'll be there in a bit. There are some things I'd like to discuss with your father."

As Bai Yishu walked towards the ward, she asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

"You'll find out soon enough. Just wait for me, okay?"

"All right."

"I'll be there in about twenty minutes. Wait for me in the ward."

He Yunshen hung up the phone, got up, picked up his suit jacket, and instructed his secretary to prepare the car while putting it on.

Twenty minutes later, footsteps were heard outside the hospital ward, and then the door was pushed open. He Yun Shen's tall figure appeared in front of the ward, and his gaze softened the moment it met Bai Yi Shu's.

"Yi Shu".

He called her softly, stepped into the ward, and closed the door behind him.

Bai Yishu got up and walked to the door.

"You've arrived."

He Yun Shen gently rubbed her head, glanced at Bai's father on the hospital bed, saw that his eyes were closed, then turned to look at Bai Yi Shu and lowered his voice.

"I have something to discuss with your father. Is he awake?"

"That's good."

He Yunshen's eyes narrowed slightly, and he nodded thoughtfully.

"There are some things I need to clarify with him in person. Could you please step outside for a moment? I'd like to speak with him alone."

He glanced at the door out of the corner of his eye and confirmed that Bai Yishu had left and closed the door.

Seeing that Bai's father was silent as if waiting for him to speak, He Yun Shen straightened up, put his hands in his pockets, and his aura became somewhat oppressive.

"Uncle Bai, I'll be frank."

His voice wasn't loud, but every word was clear and forceful.

"Yi Shu almost did something foolish last night because of the Bai family's affairs."

Upon hearing this, Mr. Bai's body trembled, and his eyes flashed with astonishment and guilt.

Mr. Bai tried to sit up, but fell back onto the bed due to his weakness, his tone full of anxiety and regret.

"Uncle Bai, there's one more thing. Before my marriage to Yi Shu is announced, please don't tell her my conditions."

Without waiting for Bai's father's response, he quietly opened the door and walked out, closing the door behind him.

Bai Yishu was sitting in the corridor when she saw He Yunshen come out and immediately went up to him.

"What did you talk about?"

When He Yun Shen saw her immediately ask, a slight ripple flashed in his eyes, but his face remained expressionless, and the corners of his lips curled up in a smile.

"It's nothing important, just some details about the Bai family's capital injection. You don't need to worry."

His tall figure loomed over Bai Yishu, his gentle gaze revealing a complex mix of emotions.

Bai Yishu nodded in understanding, showing no doubt about his words.

Seeing that she didn't ask any further questions, He Yun Shen secretly breathed a sigh of relief, raised his hand and gently stroked her hair, his movements slow and gentle.
