Fu Xiu scoffed lightly, his words carrying a hint of coaxing.

"Besides, feelings can be cultivated. Why not give me a chance to prove to you that I can make you fall in love with me?"

Bai Yishu was surprised by Fu Xiu's surprising remarks, but she didn't want to get entangled with him any longer.

"Mr. Fu, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up now."

"Miss Bai, are you sure you want to reject me?"

Fu Xiu chuckled on the phone, but there was no real laughter in his voice.

"What do you think President He would think if he knew our little secret?"

Bai Yishu's fingers tightened around her phone instantly, and her heart began to race involuntarily.

"What secret?"

"Of course, it's about you impersonating He Wanqing and going on a blind date with me, and my interest in you."

"I think Mr. He probably doesn't like being kept in the dark, especially about matters concerning you. What do you think, Ms. Bai?"

Bai Yishu gritted her teeth, knowing that Fu Xiu would definitely make a fuss about this.

He Yun Shen had a business dinner to attend tonight, so he left the company before the end of the workday.

After getting off work, Bai Yishu went home alone. She had only taken a few steps out of the company when a black sedan slowly pulled up beside her.

The rear window rolled down, revealing Fu Xiu's handsome face.

At first, Bai Yishu couldn't help but swoon when she saw him, but now she just couldn't stand his face no matter how she looked at it.

"Miss Bai, what a coincidence."

Fu Xiu wore a harmless smile as he glanced around her, seemingly to make sure no one else was there.

He gestured for the driver to get out of the car and open the door for Bai Yishu.

"Get in the car, let's have a good talk."

Bai Yishu looked at him in shock, her mouth agape, unable to speak.

"How could you...?"

Fu Xiu stepped gracefully out of the car and walked to Bai Yishu. His aura drew the attention of everyone around him.

"As I said, Miss Bai had better reconsider my proposal."

Bai Yishu noticed that passersby were all looking at them, so she took a step back to keep her distance from him and urged him to leave.

"You'd better get out of here right now."

Fu Xiu glanced at the employees of the He Group around him, but instead of leaving, he took another step closer to her.

"Miss Bai, are you getting out of the car to let Mr. He know that you're bothering me after get off work?"

Seeing the whispers around them, Bai Yishu knew she couldn't stay there any longer, so she reluctantly got into the car.

Fu Xiu smiled with satisfaction and followed her into the car.

"I hope you'll continue to be this obedient."

The car interior was spacious and comfortable, but it felt cramped and confined because of the oppressive atmosphere between her and Fu Xiu.

Bai Yishu sat in the car, at a loss for what to do, and let Fu Xiu take her to an unfamiliar place.

The car stopped in front of a villa, and Fu Xiu got out first.

"We've arrived, Miss Bai."

Bai Yishu got out of the car, secretly surveying her surroundings, and followed Fu Xiu into the villa.

The villa's luxurious decor came into view, with crystal chandeliers emitting a soft glow, yet they couldn't dispel the tense atmosphere between them.

"Please sit down."

Fu Xiu pointed to the sofa in the center of the living room, then walked to the cabinet and took out two wine glasses.

"Would you like a drink?"

"No need."

Bai Yishu sat down on the edge of the sofa and watched Fu Xiu take out a bottle of red wine and pour it into one of the glasses.

"Heh, they're quite wary."

Fu Xiu poured himself a glass of wine, swirled the glass, and walked up to Bai Yishu, looking down at her.

"Miss Bai, have you thought about my proposal?"

Bai Yishu sighed inwardly and decided to try again to persuade Fu Xiu to give up his "interest" in her.

"Mr. Fu, I've already made myself very clear on the phone. I hope you won't force me to do anything further."

Fu Xiu chuckled lightly, his eyes filled with disdain. He leaned down, his voice turning dangerous.

"Miss Bai, there's nothing in this world that I, Fu Xiu, can't get. If you refuse again, don't blame me for using some special methods."

"Stop threatening me!"

"A threat? Miss Bai, this is just a reminder."

Fu Xiuzhi stood up and crossed his arms.

"I'll give you one more chance. Think it through before you answer me."

Seeing that he was unmoved by her words, Bai Yishu felt a surge of irritation and abruptly stood up.

"I already told you I have a boyfriend, and I love him!"

Fu Xiu's eyes instantly turned sinister. He grabbed Bai Yishu's wrist and threw her back onto the sofa.

His broad upper body pressed down on her, his hands gripping tightly on either side of Bai Yishu, his tone filled with anger and resentment.
