Courtyard House: Home Alone

Chapter 472 Lin Yifan, having tasted the sweetness of success

After dinner, under the cover of night, Lin Yifan bid farewell to the three of them, then teleported to the beach and launched the 022 submarine.

After boarding, the engine was started, and the navigation and search radars on board were checked. After confirming that everything was working properly, the propulsion system was activated and the ship headed toward Victoria Harbour, where there were two destroyers and a heavy cruiser.

He wanted to try and see if he could store them in his spatial storage; if not, he would blow them up with grenades. The same went for the patrol boats and gunboats docked in the harbor—he would store them if he could, and blow them up if he couldn't.

He steered the 022 patrol boat to a point about three nautical miles from the port and carefully inspected the situation on each vessel. He found that apart from the three warships with naval officers and soldiers on duty, the other patrol boats and gunboats were empty.

With a thought, he instantly teleported to the heavy cruiser and began clearing out the Japanese navy from the bridge, followed by the two destroyers.

After eliminating the Japanese soldiers on the three warships, he casually stored them in his spatial storage. These three warships were all new, and they would be perfect for training the Red Party's navy.

Next came the patrol boats and gunboats, and finally, even the transport boats docked at the pier were taken and stored in their own space.

After completing these tasks, he returned to the 022 submarine, started the engine, and headed north along the planned return route. The sea was calm under the cover of night, and the 022 submarine, relying on its stealth capabilities, moved silently along the coastline.

By 1 a.m., the speedboat had entered the Taiwan Strait. Looking at the navigation radar screen, Lin Yifan's eyes lit up. On the way... should he go and see Keelung? At this time, Keelung Port was the port with the most exchanges between the island nation and Taiwan.

There should be quite a few Japanese ships docked there, all transporting troops and supplies to the Southeast Asian front. If we could raid them along the way, we could not only get a lot of good stuff, but also deal a heavy blow to the Japanese. As for the cargo ships, we could give them to our own shipping companies, and if there were any warships, we could give them to the Communists.

Robbery is the fastest way to make money, and besides, the targets are Japanese soldiers. With his prior conviction, Lin Yifan couldn't stop himself. He made a slight adjustment to his course and headed towards Keelung Port.

Lin Yifan set the ship to its highest speed and arrived near Keelung Port at 3:40 a.m. He then reduced the speed and, under the cover of darkness, slowly approached Keelung Port.

From afar, you can see a dense mass of ships anchored in the harbor, many with scattered lights on, clearly loaded with cargo and waiting to set sail.

Lin Yifan was secretly delighted and teleported into the dock. He first checked each dock one by one, silently eliminating all the Japanese sentries in the harbor, and then counted the ships in the harbor one by one:

There were three 10,000-ton cargo ships, five 5,000-ton transport ships, and a Japanese light cruiser under maintenance in the harbor, as well as four 1,000-ton patrol gunboats. It was a real windfall.

Lin Yifan didn't stand on ceremony. He first boarded the cruiser and wiped out all the Japanese officers and soldiers on board. Then he casually put the entire cruiser into his spatial storage. He did the same to the four gunboats. Finally, he took care of the cargo ships.

He boarded the ship and killed all the Japanese crew members, and then seized all the cargo ships loaded with supplies, including several merchant ships from other countries.

In less than an hour, he had looted all the Japanese ships moored outside Keelung Harbor, including the fuel oil stored in the three major oil tanks in the harbor.

Lin Yifan glanced at the empty dock, checked the time, and found that it was just past five o'clock. So he teleported to a row of large warehouses next to the dock. These warehouses were also filled with a large amount of rice, cloth and Japanese war supplies. He simply took them all.

By the time the warehouses were cleared out, dawn was breaking, and the distant footsteps of the changing of the guard could be faintly heard. Seeing this, Lin Yifan did not linger. He teleported back to the 022 boat, started the engine, and silently sailed away from Keelung Port.

Sitting in the command seat, looking through the supplies he had just collected in his space, he couldn't help but smile. On this trip, he not only seized warships and transport ships, but also gained so many combat supplies for free. He could send them to the base and solve many of the urgent problems.

Just as they adjusted their course and prepared to return, several moving dots suddenly appeared on the radar, heading towards Keelung Port. Lin Yifan went closer to take a look and found that it was a Japanese coastal patrol team, consisting of three thousand-ton gunboats, slowly making their way into the port.

He rolled his eyes. Since he was already here, what difference would three more ships make? He simply reduced his speed and hid behind a nearby reef, waiting for the three gunboats to approach.

When the gunboat was five kilometers away from the island, he had a thought and stuffed ten hand grenades into each of the gunboat's ammunition compartments.

As a series of loud explosions came from afar, the ammunition compartments of the three gunboats were detonated. The Japanese soldiers on the decks didn't even have time to react before they sank to the bottom of the sea along with the shattered hulls, without even sending out an escape signal.

Lin Yifan watched as the three dots on the radar completely disappeared before readjusting the course and slowly heading towards Tianjin.

This operation on Hong Kong Island was incredibly profitable, not only providing ample funds for their brothers but also creating a major breach in the Japanese army's maritime supply line to Taiwan.

All that's left is to wait for these equipment and supplies to be sent out, which will greatly boost the development of the Red Party.

Having tasted success, Lin Yifan looked at the nautical chart and found that he was still 800 nautical miles from Shanghai. If the 022 boat sailed at a speed of 40 knots, it would take about 20 hours to reach Shanghai, which would be 2 a.m. tomorrow.

If we speed up a bit, we can arrive in Shanghai around midnight. It's on the way anyway, and if we can pull off another operation in Shanghai, we're sure to get a lot of good stuff.

The Japanese have stationed a lot of troops in Shanghai, and there are also many ships docked in the port, as well as many banks and foreign firms they have established. After this wave of attacks, the Japanese maritime transport and economic lifeline in East China will be thrown into chaos for a while.

Baldy and his men have also begun localized counterattacks. The Japanese forces in East China had already been significantly reduced, and with this further disruption, the pressure on their front lines would be less, which would be perfect for coordinating with Baldy's actions.

With that thought in mind, Lin Yifan no longer hesitated and immediately increased the speed to 42 knots. Taking advantage of the stealth capabilities of the Type 022 submarine, he sailed along the route toward Shanghai Port.

He didn't encounter any Japanese patrol boats along the way, and by 11 p.m., he had successfully reached Wusongkou. There were several light and heavy cruisers, as well as a battleship and five destroyers. He bypassed the Japanese warships and sneaked into the Huangpu River under the cover of darkness.

Lin Yifan first scanned the Shiliupu Wharf with his divine sense. As expected, there were many cargo ships waiting to load and unload supplies at the wharf. The warehouses next to the wharf were piled up full of supplies ready to be transported to the front line.

After weighing the options, Lin Yifan decided that it was more appropriate to target the Japanese warships first. So he teleported ashore, stowed away the Type 022 submarine, and then teleported towards Wusongkou.
