Courtyard House: Home Alone

Chapter 100 Night Raid

A little further out was a combination of three armored vehicles and three tanks, with two men on duty in each vehicle. However, the twelve Japanese soldiers on duty inside the vehicles were all wrapped in blankets and fast asleep, completely unaware of what was happening outside.

Further out, there was a patrol team of six Japanese soldiers. The six Japanese soldiers did not notice the situation at the large tent and continued to patrol around the armored vehicles and tanks.

Lin Yifan targeted six Japanese soldiers on patrol. He used his lightness skill to appear behind the last soldier and then stored all six soldiers into his spatial storage. He then teleported into an armored vehicle and a tank, storing the sleeping soldiers inside as well.

Like a ghost in the night, he once again moved through the camp. The same routine followed: patrols, sentries, tents—his first targets became the targets. He cleared out the Japanese soldiers as quickly as possible.

As he continued his slaughter, large swathes of Japanese camps were wiped out, leaving only corpses and flowing blood.

The bedding inside the tent was in disarray, a trace left from the last struggle of the Japanese soldiers. Most of them were still fast asleep when they passed away.

Occasionally, a Japanese soldier would be awakened, but before he could react, he would be shot through the head by bullets fired by Lin Yifan, without even a chance to resist.

The entire camp was almost silent except for the breeze stirred up by Lin Yifan's movements. The shadow of death, like a tide, silently devoured every corner.

The machine guns, armored vehicles, and tanks that were originally set up, now without the Japanese soldiers operating them, resembled silent steel behemoths, having lost their former ferocity.

Lin Yifan's eyes were cold, and his movements did not falter in the slightest. He knew that every second he delayed could bring him trouble. Although it was not a big threat to him, he did not want to leave any hidden dangers.

His mental power covered an increasingly wider area, and the speed of the cleanup became faster and faster, spreading from the center of the camp to the edges and the front, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.

He left the temporary aid station that the Japanese had encircled for last. By the time he arrived at the entrance of the temporary aid station, the eastern sky was already turning a pale white, and the bullets stored in Lin Yifan's spatial warehouse were almost all used up.

He used his mind to load magazines into the submachine guns in the space, making them ready to fire at any time. He first targeted the lightly wounded soldiers who were still capable of resistance, and fired all the bullets in the stationary warehouse into their heads.

Next came the killing with a samurai sword. He used a samurai sword that he had captured from the Japanese ninja in Okamura's tent. The samurai sword used by the royal ninja was indeed extraordinary. He could cut off the heads of the Japanese as easily as cutting melons and vegetables. The blade could barely make a sound as it cut through flesh. Only the dull thuds of the blade hitting the ground echoed in the tent.

The seriously wounded lay on their beds or on the straw-covered ground, too weak to even struggle. They could only stare in terror as this figure, like a demon from hell, swung his sword and severed their lives.

The stench of blood reached its peak in the ambulance, so strong it was almost suffocating, mixing with the smell of disinfectant to create a nauseating odor.

Lin Yifan moved through the tent expressionlessly, making sure no one was left alive in any corner.

As he stepped out of the last aid station tent, the sun had already broken free from the horizon, and golden rays bathed the entire battlefield.

He stood at the highest point of the camp, his gaze sweeping across the blood-stained land. The once heavily guarded camp was now deathly silent.

In the distance, several crows, drawn by the scent of blood, circled and cawed low, as if playing the final note to this one-sided massacre. He took a deep breath of the blood-stained air, feeling no discomfort, only the calm of someone who had accomplished a mission.

Okamura Neiji and Ushijima Minoru were often imprisoned in his spatial dimension, left for later disposal, while the entire 20th Division was almost completely wiped out by him single-handedly.

Just then, the alarm in his mind sounded again: "Warning, the Japanese Tanaka Regiment is departing from Tianjin and is expected to arrive at the battlefield in two hours. Danger level: High."

Lin Yifan's eyes narrowed. The Tanaka Regiment? Had the Japanese called for reinforcements? It seemed the time needed to clear the battlefield and gather supplies would have to be greatly reduced.

Without further hesitation, he turned around immediately. His goal was clear: the horses, the open-air piles of ammunition, fuel, and food, the supplies loaded on the trucks, and the medicines and important documents in the tents could not be left to the arriving Tanaka Brigade.

They will be met with bullets and grenades, and of course, the explosives that were not used yesterday. However, time is indeed a bit too tight. But none of that matters. As long as the Tanaka Regiment is captured, the rest will be theirs!

Thinking of this, he didn't immediately collect the spoils from the camp. Instead, he took out the five MG42 general-purpose machine guns he had already exchanged. He used his mental energy to cover a ten-meter area in front of him and then pulled the trigger.

It took another ten minutes or so to collect more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition and more than 200 grenades from the stationary warehouse. This should be enough, since there were still about 100 anti-tank grenades and more than 100 hand grenades in the original space.

He has achieved his goal; now it's time to clean up the battlefield and collect his spoils.

The open-air stockpiles of ammunition, fuel, food, and supplies on trucks all became his targets.

The spiritual power transformed into an invisible hand, silently taking boxes of shells and bundles of explosives into the still warehouse.

He also peeled away the layers of supplies covered with tarpaulins, like peeling an onion, and took away everything inside.

Among them, he discovered one thousand yellow-label poison gas shells each fired from a 75mm mountain gun and a Type 97 mortar. He stored these mustard gas shells separately in a corner of the space warehouse.

Given the chance, he would return them all to those Japanese devils. This was called taking from the Japanese and using them for the Japanese, letting them try it themselves and see how effective these poison gas bombs they had produced in their madness really were.

As for the warhorses, Lin Yifan put them all into the space breeding farm. Other cavalry equipment such as saddles and sabers were also put into the space, including tents and such.

Throughout the process, Lin Yifan acted like an efficient scavenger, looting all the Japanese supplies wherever he went, leaving them with almost nothing of value.

The 20th Division, an elite force that had committed countless crimes on Chinese soil in his previous life, had been completely wiped out by him.
