He couldn't wait to find something to test the recharge function and see what the exchange rate was like.

However, just as he was basking in the immense surprise the system had brought him...

A sharp, sarcastic shout came from the backyard, instantly shattering his thoughts.

"Damn it! Who the hell dared to touch my things? Is there no justice in this world?! They're bullying us, a widow and her children!"

"Who gave you permission to throw my things? These are all my belongings! Can you afford to pay for them if you break them?"

"Which despicable bastard has taken over this house? Get out here! Let your grandma see what kind of person you are, daring to occupy my house! You childless wretch!"

The insults grew increasingly vile, interspersed with wailing and tantrums, clearly mentioning the "landlord" and including Li Zhenhua in the curses.

Li Zhenhua's brows furrowed instantly.

It seems that the first hurdle to moving into No. 95 Courtyard has arrived so quickly.

He suppressed his excitement, regained his calm and even slightly cold expression, and strode towards the backyard from which the commotion was coming.

As soon as you pass through the moon gate, you can see that a number of neighbors who have been alerted have gathered at the entrance of the small house next to the west wing of the backyard, which was originally designated as a side room.

Four people dressed in steel mill logistics uniforms stood at the door with helpless and angry expressions. On the ground were some old jars and cans, several bundles of yellowed waste paper, and an old basket that looked like it was about to fall apart.

An obese old woman with a fierce face, wearing a patched blue cloth jacket, sat down on the ground, slapping the ground with her hands, pointing at the four workers and cursing them while spitting everywhere. It was Jia Zhangshi.

Beside her, a timid-looking little boy (Bang Geng) hid behind her, while a young woman (Qin Huairu) looked anxious and embarrassed, wanting to pull her but not daring to use force.

"What happened?"

Li Zhenhua's voice wasn't loud, but it instantly drew everyone's attention.

The four support staff did not know who Li Zhenhua was.

Upon learning that Li Zhenhua was the owner of the house, he felt as if he had found a pillar of support and immediately stepped forward to explain.

"Section Chief Li, you've arrived! We're here to clean and tidy up your house as instructed by Director Sun."

"Yes, as soon as we arrived, we found this side room piled with all this stuff. We thought it was useless garbage, so we were about to clean it out when this old lady came out and said it was all hers. She wouldn't let us touch it and even started cursing..."

"We explained to her that this house was allocated to Section Chief Li by the factory, but she wouldn't listen and kept hurling increasingly offensive insults..."

Upon hearing "Section Chief Li" and seeing how young Li Zhenhua was, Jia Zhangshi's arrogance not only did not diminish, but intensified.

She scrambled to her feet, put her hands on her hips, and rushed towards Li Zhenhua, her fingers almost poking his nose.

"So you're that Li guy they were talking about? Bah! What kind of damn section chief are you! You come here and start seizing people's houses? This side room has been empty for years, it's always been where my family stores our things! That's our house! What right do you have to take it? You're so young, how can you be so vicious! You come here and start bullying people! I'll fight you to the death!"

As she spoke, she was about to use her usual trick to bump into Li Zhenhua, trying to stage an accident.

The neighbors who were watching were talking amongst themselves, some grimacing and shaking their heads, clearly used to Jia Zhangshi's behavior.

Some people, however, were simply there to watch the spectacle.

Yi Zhonghai and several other managers were all at work and were not present.

Li Zhenhua watched as Jia Zhangshi hurtled towards him like a ball of flesh, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

He grew up in a military camp and was trained by his father, Li Yunlong, in the same way he trained reconnaissance soldiers. He was proficient in combat, grappling, and shooting, and his reaction speed and strength were far beyond those of ordinary people.

In his eyes, Jia Zhangshi's tantrums and rolling around on the ground were as slow as a snail's pace, full of flaws.

He never considered swallowing his anger or reasoning with her; showing weakness to this kind of shrew would only embolden her.

Just as Jia Zhangshi was about to collide with him, Li Zhenhua slightly shifted his body, and his right leg shot out like lightning, accurately kicking Jia Zhangshi's plump waist and abdomen.

He was clearly holding back, afraid of accidentally kicking the old man to death and getting into trouble.

Even so, this kick contained considerable force.

"Ouch!"

Jia Zhangshi felt a tremendous force coming from her, and her body staggered backward uncontrollably.

With a "thud," he fell solidly on his backside, kicking up a cloud of dust.

She was stunned at first, but then the sharp pain in her abdomen and the humiliation of being made a fool of herself in public made her explode instantly.

"Oh my god!! Someone's been killed! Officials are beating people! This is outrageous!"

Instead of getting up, Jia Zhangshi lay down on the ground, kicking her legs wildly and pounding the ground with her hands, crying even more shrilly, her voice so high it could pierce eardrums.

"Everyone, come quick! The new, ruthless section chief is going to kill someone! He's bullying us, a widow and her orphan! My back is broken! My bones are shattered! Call the police! We have to call the police! Arrest him and shoot him!"

This caused an uproar among the onlookers.

Although many people disliked Jia Zhangshi's character, seeing Li Zhenhua, a young and strong man, actually lay a hand on an old woman, even though Jia Zhangshi struck first, was quite a shock.

Sympathy for the weak and a desire to stir up trouble began to take hold.

Immediately, discussions and accusations were directed at Li Zhenhua.

"Oh dear, why would they actually hit an old person?"

"Exactly, no matter what, you can't hit someone, especially a cadre like him!"

"This new section chief has such a bad temper, he's just as bad as Jia Zhangshi."

"Go call the police and arrest him!"

Despite the pointing fingers and whispers of the crowd, Li Zhenhua remained unfazed, even managing a cold smile.

He glanced around, his gaze sharp as a knife, which caused some of the noisy neighbors to instinctively shut their mouths.

"Call the police?"

Li Zhenhua raised his voice, clearly drowning out Jia Zhangshi's dry howling.

"Great! I was just thinking of asking a police officer to come and settle this!"

He pointed to the side room and the pile of junk on the ground, his tone menacing.

"This house is a legal residence allocated to me, an administrative cadre of level 17, by Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill in accordance with national regulations! The ownership of the property is clear and unambiguous! This old shrew has been occupying public property and piling up her personal belongings without permission for a long time! Now that the factory has sent people to clean up my house, she not only unreasonably obstructs them, but also openly insults and even attempts to attack state cadres!"

With each word Li Zhenhua spoke, his voice grew colder and his aura stronger.

"Occupying public housing, damaging state property, attacking state officials! Any one of these would be enough to get her into serious trouble! You think she's just throwing a tantrum? A few years ago, this would have been considered sabotage and destruction of construction! Being paraded through the streets and criticized would have been the least of her worries! In serious cases, she might have been punished severely! Shot dead!!"

The words "execute" echoed like thunder in the courtyard.

The noisy neighbors fell silent instantly, and many of them showed fear on their faces.
