Chapter 9: Give them a good beating!

Jiahe was the first to notice something was wrong. He saw that Yafei's mood, which had been fairly good, had visibly worsened.

Moreover, the smile on his face faded, and Gahe looked in the direction from which the sound came.

A young man riding a blood-red warhorse galloped from the other end of the street, followed by several imperial soldiers.

At first glance, Gahe sensed an arrogance emanating from this guy, as if he didn't care about anyone.

"Could this guy be Mu Zhan from the Mu family?" Jiahe wondered to himself.

He naturally remembered that in the original story, the empire did indeed have a talented person who relentlessly pursued Ya Fei.

Ya Fei's trip to Wutan City may have been partly motivated by a desire to avoid Mu Zhan.

The blood-red warhorse neighed and then abruptly stopped in front of Ya Fei.

Mu Zhan dismounted, his gaze fixed on Ya Fei with burning passion, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

"Ya Fei, I just came out of the military camp and came to find you!" Mu Zhan said to Ya Fei with a smile.

Ya Fei felt a bit disgusted by Mu Zhan's intense gaze, but out of respect for his status, she nodded slightly in response, saying, "Young Master Mu, since you've just returned from the military camp, you should be resting at home!"

Mu Zhan seemed oblivious to the distant undertone in Ya Fei's words, and said with a grin, "Staying at home is so boring, I might as well come see you. It'll be a good opportunity for us to get to know each other better!"

Mu Zhan's face showed anger, and he raised his foot to walk towards Jiahe, but the two guards next to Jiahe blocked Mu Zhan's way!

"Get out of the way!" Mu Zhan said coldly.

The guard coldly said, "Retreat!"

"You're courting death!" Mu Zhan felt as if he had been insulted, his blood boiled, and a pale green battle aura surged from his body.

The strength of an eight-star Dou Zhe is like that of a child in front of Jia He. Although Mu Zhan should be a bit older than him, Jia He could easily defeat him with one hand!

Jiahe whispered the order: "Give him a beating, throw him out, and warn him that if he harasses Yafei again, he'll be beaten every time!"

"Yes, Your Highness!" the guard replied respectfully.

Then one of the guards reached out and lifted Mu Zhan up.

When the imperial soldiers who came with Mu Zhan saw their master being lifted up, they all rushed forward to rescue him, and the aura of fighting spirit on the guard suddenly erupted.

"A Dou Ling expert?" Several imperial soldiers took a few steps back in fear.

The guard replied, "Yes, Your Highness!"

"Go to the Alchemists' Guild!" Gahe ordered.

The carriage sped along the street toward the Alchemist Guild.

Watching the carriage disappear into the distance, Ya Fei chuckled to herself, "That little fellow certainly has quite the air about him; he really intimidated me!"

As she turned around, Ya Fei glanced at the corner of the street in the distance, and then went straight into the grand auction house.

Mu Zhan was taken to a street corner by Jiahe's guards and severely beaten before being handed over to the soldiers he had brought.

Several soldiers hurriedly led Mu Zhan back to the Mu family to apologize.

Elder Orin did not return with Mu Zhan, but instead headed towards Mittel Manor halfway there.

The patriarch of the Mittel family, Mittel Tengshan, usually doesn't go to the grand auction house; he stays at the manor to oversee things.

After Elder Olin returned, he went directly to Tengshan's office.

"Clan leader, there's a big deal!" Elder Olin shouted to Tengshan as he entered the office.

Tengshan looked up at Oulin and asked, "What big deal?"

Oulin picked up the gold card and the order form and handed them to Tengshan, saying, "This is an order from the Mu family. Everything on this order must be paid for within six months. This card contains the deposit he gave me!"
