Noxus Glory

Chapter 61 We are fearless!

Chapter 61 We are fearless!

"Daughter of War, what kind of battle is worth our involvement?"

Under the cold winter night sky, a sound like thunder echoed across the land, reverberating in the ears of every bear-man and every beast spirit walker.

Sejuani, seated atop Steelmane, watched as the Hunter Lord's eyes rolled back and turned into pools of black water. As she tilted her head back, a thunderous voice rang out.

Sejuani's eyes narrowed for a moment, then she came to her senses.

She smiled and answered in a voice that could be heard by both armies.

"I will burn down all the defenses of the Noxian Empire. I will tear down their stone walls and houses, so that no one in the world will dare to resist us again."

Then she pointed south.

"Every inch of land where ice and snow fall will belong to me, my name will become their nightmare, and our tribe will rule forever."

For a moment, only Udyr's cloak fluttering in the wind echoed her declaration. Above her head, dark clouds swirled like a storm.

"Please call upon our strength!"

After a moment of silence, the thunderous sound continued.

"Whom will you offer as a sacrifice?" the Hunting Lord asked in the voice of a bear spirit.

Udyr suppressed the turmoil in his mind, but countless thoughts flooded his brain, and he could only manage to speak with all his might.

"We only offer sacrifices to the war and those who died in it!"

Rumble!

Above the dim sky, deep purple lightning raged, seemingly intent on destroying everything in the world.

When Sejuani looked up and saw the terrifying presence looming overhead, she realized its true horror.

Its fur stood on end, and lightning raged through its flesh.

Its scars glowed, and thunder and lightning poured from its mouth, as if it were about to explode at any moment.

Sejuani felt an unprecedented, intense fear; she had just almost surrendered herself and her entire clan to the bear-men.

This is the true power of the Undying Thunder Volibear.

She looked at her former mentor, Udyr, with awe.

At some point, he found power strong enough to rival such a terrifying being.

"Do you fear our war, Spirit of the Great Bear!?"

Udyr's hair and beard danced wildly, making him look like a lion as he roared at the thunder in the sky.

Even as his consciousness gradually became confused, the continuous pain from the silver thorns in his palm kept him conscious.

Volibear in the sky roared again, becoming less and less like a bear.

Flesh and blood seemed to begin to dissipate, muscles, hair, and tendons began to separate, with only endless lightning connecting them.

Volibear the Undying Thunder assumed an attack stance, but before it could launch its attack, Sejuani rode directly towards him, blocking Udyr's path.

"Storm and wild bear! Will you fight alongside us?" Udyr roared, "or are you afraid of our war?"

After waiting for a long time, Volibear lowered his gaze and gave his answer.

"We have nothing to fear."

Then, amidst the wind and snow, the thunder gradually dissipated.

On the pale snow, the bear-men, standing in a disorderly row, led by the Hunting Lord, headed towards the Winterclaw tribe and joined their ranks.

The Noxian Empire, the southeastern island group.

From the sky, the islands, each with its own unique shape, are like sparkling pearls scattered in the vast ocean, creating a picturesque scene against the azure sky.

Of course, the scenery would be even more beautiful if you ignored the flames burning on the island and the smell of blood in the air.

Fargren, a majestic city standing in the center of an island.

Legion advisor Wilson walked briskly along the wide road outside the city. His weathered face was full of fatigue, but his bright eyes were still filled with determination.

"Wilson, don't rush!"

The officer Lyon, walking beside him, looked at the legion advisor beside him and spoke softly.

"The rebellion here has just ended, and there are still many insurgents who intend to assassinate Noxian officers and nobles."

"It's not that I'm in a hurry." Wilson turned his head and stared at the officer Leon, who was wearing armor and a noble badge.

"The war against the Claws of Winter is imminent, and General Darius's orders must be conveyed!"

"Alright!" Officer Leon's eyes flickered, he shrugged, and looked up at the war-torn city before him.

"Then let's go find Lord Kree; he's dealing with the stubborn rebels in the city."

If it weren't for Wilson's unexpected arrival, he would be in the city right now, having a good talk with the gentry of the merchant guilds and collecting some protection money that he deserves.

Perhaps some of them will support the rebels, but so what? Kree is only in charge of the military.

And he, Lyon, was Fargren's orderly.

We entered the city along the wide road.

Wilson saw the damaged buildings and the dilapidated environment.

The streets were a mess, with Noxian soldiers everywhere, blocking major thoroughfares and leaving many cold corpses lying at their feet.

Judging from their clothing and weapons, they were rebels in this Battle of Falgren.

Keep going.

Groups of Noxian squads began to appear frequently, their expressions solemn, their armor stained with blood.

However, upon seeing Wilson and Leon, the Noxian soldiers all saluted in greeting.

After walking more than a hundred meters, Lyon stopped in front of a group of low-rise buildings and said to Wilson behind him.

"We've arrived at our destination, the rebels' lair."

The sea breeze gently caressed the crumbling buildings, bringing with it the scent of sea salt and the fresh aroma of the ocean, yet suppressing the thick, pungent smell of blood that permeated the air.

As far as the eye can see, this cluster of low-rise buildings has suffered damage from the war.

Large areas were destroyed, buildings collapsed completely, and narrow roads were damaged, leaving the area looking devastated.

Besides, countless corpses can be seen piled up in the ruins, and flowing blood turns into red streams that flow over roads and into underground waterways.

Wilson, with a solemn expression, followed Leon into the blood-red area under the protection of Noxian soldiers.

Amidst the ruins of war, there are still many survivors, their expressions bewildered and numb. When they see Noxian soldiers in armor, they will kneel down and dare not move.

"Don't be nervous!" Leon stepped over the corpse and whispered to Wilson.

"We have won the battle, and Fargren is back in the embrace of the Empire."

He pointed to the survivors by the roadside: "They will become slaves of Noxus, well... those who behave well may become citizens of Noxus."

"In short, the Empire has completely taken control of Falgren!"

Perhaps thinking of something, Leon pointed to the Noxian soldiers around him, as well as the survivors.

"You can take a look; if they have good qualifications, they can return to the northern border of the empire with you."

"I believe General Darius will train them to become excellent soldiers for the Empire."

Wilson frowned, but maintained his calm tone, saying, "No need, business is more important. I need to see Lord Kree as soon as possible!"

"We're almost there."

Lyon gave Wilson a long look, maintained his aristocratic demeanor, and quickened his pace.

However, before he could finish speaking, a rumbling sound of trampling came from afar.

This was accompanied by excited inquiries.

"Hmm? Lyon, who wants to see the Great One?"

"Sir Major Kree, General!"
