On the day of the divorce, I became Qin Shao's darling.
Chapter 3 I Want a Divorce
Lin Xiwei was frantically searching for her son and didn't even notice the person standing next to her.
Qin Jiamo's face was brushed by the wind stirred up by the woman running past, his brows furrowed slightly, and he unconsciously glanced back.
She was a tall, slender, and beautiful figure.
But he was never short of women like that around him.
Han Rui also looked at the woman's back, "Looks like that kid's mother has come. She's quite pretty."
Qin Jiamo remained silent and turned to walk into the elevator.
As the elevator descended, Qin Jiamo calmly instructed her assistant, "Cancel tomorrow morning's schedule. I need to go to the fire station to retrieve Yue Lang's belongings."
Han Rui nodded: "Okay."
After his brother's sacrifice, the Qin family was in deep grief and had not yet had time to go to his former workplace to collect his belongings.
Thinking about the scene he would face tomorrow, the usually cold and resolute eldest son of the Qin family silently reddened his eyes.
"Junjun, you scared your mother to death! Don't run around like that next time, okay? It makes your mother worry." Lin Xiwei found her son, squatted down, and hugged him tightly.
Su Chengjun pouted and said guiltily, "I'm sorry, Mom. I came out to look for you, but the hospital is too big, so I got lost..."
"Yes, Mom knows."
Lin Xiwei nodded, kissed her son, picked him up, and thanked Director Yan repeatedly.
Director Yan quietly observed Lin Xiwei, marveling at her extremely beautiful and charming face.
"Hello, madam. May I ask if you're here to visit someone in the hospital or to be admitted?" Director Yan couldn't resist his curiosity and took the initiative to strike up a conversation.
"I'm here to be admitted to the hospital." Lin Xiwei said with a hint of politeness.
"Then...which department?"
Hematology department.
After Lin Xiwei finished answering, she looked at the other person's name tag and saw that he was a chief physician, which made her feel respectful.
"Why are you asking these questions?" she asked curiously.
Director Yan smiled and said, "It's nothing, I just thought the child was adorable and couldn't help but show my concern."
As he spoke, he raised his hand and patted Xiao Junjun's head, "Little friend, I wish you a speedy recovery."
"Thank you, doctor. I wish you all the best in your work."
Su Chengjun answered without his mother's prompting, demonstrating his high emotional intelligence.
Lin Xiwei said goodbye to Director Yan, picked up her son, and turned to leave.
"Mommy, was that Daddy on the phone just now? Is he coming to visit Junjun?" the little guy asked in a clear voice, hugging his mother's neck.
Lin Xiwei's smile was tinged with bitterness as she comforted him, "Dad will come as soon as he finishes work."
Behind them, Director Yan heard this and shook his head thoughtfully: "They have a father...it seems they just happen to look alike."

Lin Xiwei was only trying to comfort her son, but not long after returning to the ward, Su Yunfan actually showed up!
I came with my parents.
"Junjun, I'm sorry, Dad was delayed last night and only just came to see you now." Su Yunfan went straight to his son's side as soon as he entered.
Lin Xiwei was furious, but she couldn't vent her anger in front of her son.
Her gaze shifted to her parents who were entering the room, and she stepped forward.
"Mom, didn't I specifically tell you not to tell him? Why did you bring him here?"
"Alright, don't be angry anymore," Zhao Xingfen said, taking her daughter's hand. "It's only natural for a father to stay by his son's side when he's sick. How can you prevent your son from seeing his father just because you two are arguing?"
Lin Xiwei: "..."
Father Lin Zheng'an also scolded, "Yunfan has been good enough to you. Don't always quarrel with him. It's hard for men to work hard in their careers. You should be more gentle and virtuous."
"That's right, look at you, you don't even have to go to work, you have a nanny to help you take care of the kids, and you get seventy or eighty thousand yuan in pocket money every month, what a great life," Zhao Xingfen added.
Lin Xiwei had always known that her parents had traditional ideas, and in the past she could still give them a perfunctory response when she heard these things.
Now that Su Yunfan has cheated on her, hearing these words again inevitably ignited her anger.
"Dad, Mom, I'm your daughter, why do you always side with Su Yunfan?"
"us--"
Before her parents could speak, she continued, "Besides, is it my fault that I don't work? It was Su Yunfan who begged me to quit and come home. If I had continued to work hard, I would be no less successful than him now."
Lin Xiwei was a top student from a young age. She graduated with a master's degree in computer science at the age of 23 and went directly to work for a large company through her mentor's introduction.
A year later, she became the project leader, a promising prospect indeed.
If it weren't for Su Yunfan's sweet talk and persistent persuasion, she wouldn't have softened her heart and left the workplace to stay home and be a wife and mother.
When she left, her company leaders and school advisors were all very saddened.
Even during the years she was "hidden" at home, Su Yunfan's tech company occasionally encountered some technical problems, and it was she who stepped in to solve them.
She was never just a pretty face who relied on men to support her; she was willing to shed her glamour for love.
Seeing her daughter getting angry, Zhao Xingfen glanced at her husband, and the two stopped trying to persuade her. Instead, they comforted her, saying, "We know you've sacrificed your career for the family, so it's normal to feel resentful sometimes. We'll have Yunfan apologize to you properly later."
Lin Xiwei said coldly, "It's useless."
"Then what do you want?" Lin Zheng'an asked, his face hardening as his daughter remained unmoved. "You don't want a divorce, do you?"
"I want a divorce?" Lin Xiwei looked at her father, unable to suppress a cold laugh. "Didn't Su Yunfan tell you why I wouldn't let him see Junjun?"
Why?
Lin Xiwei turned her head to look at the man's figure beside the hospital bed, her eyes cold.
"Because—he wants a divorce, and his first love has returned to China with their daughter, begging him to take them in."
"What?" Zhao Xingfen raised her voice instantly and turned to look at the hospital bed.
The son-in-law was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding his son, and the two were chatting and laughing.
"This...that can't be right, can it? Did you do something wrong to upset Yunfan, and he's deliberately making up lies to make you angry?"
Zhao Xingfen turned her gaze away from her daughter, her old habit kicking in again, and she sided with her son-in-law.
"..." Lin Xiwei looked at her parents and suddenly felt speechless.
What hurt her more than her husband was her parents' repeated rejection and doubt.
From childhood to adulthood, no matter how outstanding or dazzling she was, she never received a single word of praise from her parents.
Even when she was admitted to a top university and then to a prestigious graduate school, all her neighbors praised her highly.
Parents would only say, "The more you study, the dumber you become. It's a waste of money for girls to study so much; they'll just get married sooner or later."
But her parents always praised her younger brother, who was six years younger than her. It was one thing that he was always at the bottom of his class, but even when he became a glutton and weighed 250 pounds, they would still say, "Being able to eat is a blessing."
Thinking of all this, Lin Xiwei couldn't help but tear up, and the surge of bitterness in her chest almost made her suffocate.
Su Yunfan stayed with his son, glancing back at Lin Xiwei every now and then to observe her reaction.
Seeing the tense atmosphere in the Lin family, he settled his son down, got up, and walked over.
"Dad, Mom, you two stay with Junjun for a bit. I need to talk to Xiwei alone," Su Yunfan said in a low voice.
Lin Zheng'an looked at his son-in-law, "Yunfan, Weiwei said you want a divorce?"
Knowing there was no way to avoid it, Su Yunfan could only nod: "Yes, I can compensate Xiwei, but Junjun has to stay with me."
Lin Xiwei looked at her husband with resentment and asked directly, "If Junjun gets leukemia, will you still want him?"
"What did you say?" Su Yunfan asked, his face filled with shock.
