HP: Wormwood and Lightning Wood
Chapter 99 is about to begin.
"Harry! Harry!" Hermione exclaimed helplessly, waving her hand in front of Harry's face. "Snap out of it!"
Draco wobbled over and bumped right into Harry's shoulder. Harry stumbled forward a few steps, "Draco..."
"Are you still going to practice? Hermione has called you several times already!" Draco asked.
"Of course!" Harry nodded.
Since Harry and the other three champions learned about the third project from Ludo Bagman, he has begun rigorous spell training.
The Goblet of Fire tournament is secondary; the most terrifying thing is that he will face Voldemort afterward.
Barty Crouch Jr. changed the Triwizard Tournament trophy into a Portkey, so that whenever Harry touched the Portkey, he would be teleported to Voldemort's side.
"Where is he?" Harry couldn't help but ask West.
West recalls the hacked key, "The Riddle House."
"Don't worry, Harry. I'll teleport right behind you. Now you need to train harder and get the Triwizard Cup before the other champions," West emphasized.
Snapping out of his reverie, Harry took a deep breath, his gaze resolute. "Continue."
Harry, Draco, Hermione, and Ron practiced all over the school, and Professor McGonagall allowed them to use the Transfiguration classroom during lunch break.
Under intense training, Harry quickly mastered the Obstruction Charm, Smash Charm, Direction Charm, Ironclad Charm, and Icebound Charm, and the other three also made great progress.
"Honestly, this is the hardest I've worked this semester," Ron said truthfully after successfully casting an Ironclad Charm.
Harry's nerves were on edge as the project's deadline approached, and finally, the day of the tournament arrived.
"Actually, participating in the Triwizard Tournament isn't bad, is it? At least you won't have to take final exams." Ron said listlessly, slumped over the table flipping through Hermione's notes.
"That's not what you said back then," Draco rolled his eyes. "I wonder who almost fainted from fright during the first project."
Harry quickly stopped the two of them, "Draco, Ron, the History of Magic exam starts in an hour, you two hurry up and take a look."
In reality, only Ron was truly overwhelmed by the exams. Hermione and Draco had always been among the top students, especially Hermione, who consistently ranked first after West withdrew from the exams.
Hermione had already finished her revision. She was now working on the training plan she had devised for Harry. "Harry, you've done an excellent job. I don't think your match will be a problem."
Harry scratched his head.
He suddenly realized something—his lover and friends were unaware that he was about to face Voldemort in the final project.
If possible, Harry hoped to use this opportunity to kill Voldemort completely and eliminate the threat forever.
"Harry? Are you nervous?" Draco touched Harry's pale cheek, somewhat worried.
"It's alright." Harry lowered his head and touched Draco's lips, feeling much more at ease.
As they chatted quietly, Professor McGonagall approached. "Potter, the warriors have finished breakfast and are gathering in the meeting room next to the Great Hall," she said. "The warriors' families have been invited to watch the game; you can meet them."
Harry stood up, wondering who would come to watch his match.
"It can't be Dursley, right? I'm guessing Sirius," Harry said.
"It better not be the Dursleys, or I'll give them a taste of what it's like to have their front teeth crammed into a stick," Draco gritted his teeth.
He had heard quite a bit about the Dursleys from Harry. Although this little setback was nothing to Harry, Draco was heartbroken.
You see, he always thought the Savior lived like a prince in the Muggle world! Turns out, the prince he thought he was living in didn't even have a proper room until he was five years old, and lived in a cupboard with his twin brother!
Salazar above, Draco simply couldn't believe it. Even his house-elves were better off than Potter!
After Draco left the Great Hall for the exam room, Harry followed Cedric into the conference room.
Cedric's parents were waiting for him at the door, while Viktor Krum and Fleur were talking to their own parents.
Harry saw West—back to fourteen-year-old West, wearing his school uniform, standing by the fireplace with Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Sirius.
"Merlin!" Harry was surprised and went to greet him with a big smile.
He glanced at West with curiosity, and after West nodded, Harry walked over to Mrs. Weasley.
"You didn't expect that, did you, Harry!" Mrs. Weasley leaned down and kissed Harry's cheek. "West came to the Burrow the day before yesterday to ask if we wanted to come see your match, and you know our answer—of course!"
Bill smiled and shook hands with Harry. "Harry, good luck in the match! Charlie told us your fight against the wasps was amazing!"
Finally, Sirius gave Harry a hug.
Harry sensed that his godfather seemed a little different, much more silent than before. He patted Sirius on the back.
"So much has happened lately, I really hope you can come to Black's old house and catch up with me, after your competition, of course." Sirius smiled and patted Harry on the shoulder. "I believe you can win first place, Harry!"
Sirius seemed eager to chat with West, but after hesitating for a while, seeing that West had no intention of paying attention to him, he awkwardly gave up.
"Harry, show them around the castle," West said to Harry, then turned and left the meeting room.
Harry knew that West had been busy with match planning lately, and had even delegated Harry's training schedule to Hermione.
Harry spent a pleasant morning strolling in the sunny grounds with Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Sirius, visiting Beauxbatons' carriage and Durmstrang's ship.
The four returned to the castle for lunch.
"Mom, Bill?" Ron exclaimed in surprise. "Sirius? You're all here?"
"Of course, we must support Harry's game!" Mrs. Weasley sat between Ron and Ginny, looking around excitedly, seemingly reminiscing about her student days dining in the Great Hall.
Harry looked around and found that West and Snape were not there, but Draco waved to him from the Slytherin table.
Harry winked at Draco with a hint of regret. He had to look after Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Sirius today, so he wouldn't have time to have lunch with Draco.
Hermione tapped on the table in front of Harry. "Eat up, Harry!"
She whispered, "Look at your eyes—Merlin, you and Draco have only been apart for a short while!"
Harry smiled shyly and lowered his head to begin eating lunch.
After lunch, Harry took Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Sirius for a walk to while away the afternoon.
For some reason, the three of them suddenly became very enthusiastic and suggested sparring with Harry. To Harry's surprise, Mrs. Weasley displayed astonishing skill in dueling.
Back in the auditorium for lunch, Ludo Bagman and Connelly Fudge sat down at the faculty table.
Snape ate his meal expressionlessly. Barty Crouch Jr., disguised as Moody, sat beside Snape, his blue magic eyes darting around before quickly locking onto Harry.
Harry shifted his gaze to the Slytherin table. He spotted Draco first. His blond hair shone so brightly in the crowd, always managing to capture Harry's attention.
Harry then discovered that West had returned to the Slytherin table and was chatting with Draco, Pansy, and a few others, though his eyes kept glancing at Snape, intentionally or unintentionally.
Harry immediately understood that West would appear as a student at the third event, and Fudge would take his place as the new referee.
Dinner was plentiful, but Harry could only manage a few bites before he couldn't eat anymore.
After waiting for a while, Dumbledore finally stood up and announced the end of dinner. "Ladies and gentlemen, in five minutes I will invite you to the Quidditch pitch for the final event of the Triwizard Tournament. Now, warriors, please follow Mr. Bagman to the pitch."
Harry felt a sense of relief. It was finally about to begin.
