HP: Wormwood and Lightning Wood
Chapter 76 Love Me, Kiss Me
After introducing the guests, Dumbledore began to explain the rules of the Triwizard Tournament.
"This year's Triwizard Tournament will feature three events, held at different times throughout the school year, which will test the warriors in many different ways."
"As you already know, three warriors will participate in the competition, each representing one of the participating schools. The selection of warriors is handled by a fair selector, the Goblet of Fire."
At that moment, Filch came up with a huge wooden box and placed it on the table.
Dumbledore drew his wand and tapped the box three times, and the box opened.
He pulled out a wooden goblet filled with dancing blue flames.
"Every student who aspires to be a warrior must write their name and school affiliation on parchment and then drop it into this goblet. I hereby announce that you have 24 hours to register, and tomorrow evening, the Goblet of Fire will select the three warriors it deems to best represent the three schools."
"Of course, to prevent underage students from being tempted, I will put an age limit in the wine glass, and anyone under the age of 17 cannot cross this line."
"Finally, I must solemnly and sincerely advise every student who intends to participate that the Triwizard Tournament is no game; it harbors many unknown challenges and dangers. Please consider this carefully and think it through thoroughly before making a decision."
The students below erupted in a clamor, their voices growing louder and louder.
Harry and his friends were about to leave when they encountered Karkaroff in the foyer.
Harry stepped aside to let Karkaroff pass first.
West rested his chin on his hand and saw Moody blocking Karkaroff's path, his eyes filled with disgust.
"A superb performance." Snape also noticed this scene and snorted coldly.
"Perhaps it was a genuine expression of emotion, after all, Karkaroff was a traitor to him," West said with interest.
Snape stood up and gave West a look, signaling him to follow.
The two left first and returned to the cellar.
The door closed, and West was pinned against the wall by Snape.
Snape grabbed West by the collar and asked, puzzled, "What are you doing? Giving up being a student to become a sponsor?"
What are you saying? You're just babbling on and on, I really want to kiss you.
West stared at Snape's lips moving for a while before snapping out of it, then turned away and coughed to cover his displeasure. "Hmm... this identity is pretty good, isn't it? At least I've got the information about the tournament now."
Snape frowned suspiciously, releasing his grip. "What? Without the sponsorship, the dignified head of the Somerset family can't even get this much information?"
of course not.
West was simply thinking that he should make Snape realize that he was no longer his student.
Perhaps only in this way could Snape examine him with an equal eye.
"So, in your eyes, I'm someone with extraordinary abilities, Severus," West said, his tongue pressed against his palate, resisting the urge to pull the man in front of him into his arms. "While that is indeed the case."
Mr. West Porter Somerset, who is not modest at all.
"If that's really what you're thinking, then why not rely on me a little more, okay, Severus?" West suddenly exerted force, taking the initiative, grabbing Snape's waist and turning him around, pinning Snape against the wall, and forcefully squeezing his knee between Snape's legs.
Snape bit his lip, glaring at him shyly, his wand pressed against Snape's chest. "Let go!"
"No." West didn't mind the wand pressed against his heart at all, and instead took a step forward. He was half a head taller than Snape, and when he looked down at Snape, he was even more imposing, as if a tall tower was completely enveloping him.
Fearing he might accidentally hurt West, Snape threw his wand aside and slapped West's arm a few times.
Unexpectedly, the man who had just been so fierce suddenly said, with a wronged expression, "You've been avoiding me, Severus."
Snape snorted and lowered his head, but West forcefully lifted his chin.
He stumbled uncontrollably into Wester's deep green pupils, and couldn't help but stiffen.
The person reflected in his pupils frowned, but there was no resistance or gloom in his eyes. He seemed completely accustomed to these intimate gestures from the man.
Snape recalled the day he took West and Harry to Diagon Alley to buy equipment, when West looked up at him and his emerald green eyes reflected his image just as they did today.
At that time, he was always shrouded in a lingering gloom, and every word he uttered was like a poisoned arrow, indiscriminately aimed at everyone around him.
His sins were almost crystal clear to the young child. He was killed by this green sea.
The guilt of the past gnawed at his soul day and night like a malignant tumor, and he was already prepared to dedicate the rest of his life to embarking on an endless path of atonement.
But now, only three years later, everything seems to have changed.
West used to look up at him, but now he looks up at West.
"How can you get distracted like that?"
Snape heard West sigh and was just coming to his senses when a cool kiss landed on his lips, then left in an instant.
"Are you snapping out of it yet?" West asked with a smile.
Snape: ...Come back to reality, I want to kill someone.
"Well then, it's my turn to ask you, Severus." West blinked. "When will you love me?"
Snape rested his forehead on West's shoulder, somewhat helplessly, and sighed silently.
Perhaps I've loved you for a long time.
"...Give me a little more time," he heard himself say.
West wanted to ask how long "a little time" was, but ultimately didn't dare to ask.
He had already pressured Sievert too much. But he couldn't wait any longer.
"Okay," West said, his voice hoarse. "Then, may I have a kiss, Severus?"
"Give an inch and you want a mile," Snape thought. "That's just how West is." But if it weren't for his indulgence, West wouldn't have gotten an inch at all.
Snape looked up, reached up to West's cheek, and couldn't resist giving it a pinch.
"Hmm." West tilted his head.
Like a puppy. Snape thought, lowering his eyes and placing a feather-light kiss on the man's lips.
Now it was West's turn to be petrified. His pupils trembled violently.
To be honest, he didn't expect to actually get a kiss. But it all happened, unbelievably.
How he wished time could stand still, so that he could forever immerse himself in this tender gift.
Seeing that he didn't react, Snape hesitated and asked, "Is it alright?"
"...Yes, yes," West stammered.
"It's getting late, you should go back." Snape released his grip.
"Okay." West obediently let go and followed Snape out of the cellar.
West's lounge was right next to the cellar.
West stumbled and almost bumped into the lounge door.
Watching West return to the common room, Snape closed the door, bent down to pick up his wand, and couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth into a smile.
