Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 90 Yu Meng's journey was intercepted halfway.

Yu Meng fell asleep.

Zhao Changsheng's voice suddenly came through, "Dali, something seems off?"

Dali quickly looked up out the car window. She didn't notice anything unusual.

Zhao Changsheng's car was gradually slowing down. "That black sedan in front of me has been going around the S-curve for a long time, and it won't let me overtake it."

Dali didn't quite understand. "This is a main road leading to the city, there are a lot of cars, isn't it normal for it to be in front of us?"

Zhao Changsheng patiently explained, "But it wasn't going fast, and it was moving in an S-shape, which is a bit unusual. It seems like it's deliberately trying to prevent me from overtaking."

Their conversation startled Yu Meng awake. She glanced at the black sedan in front of her and a possibility occurred to her. "Brother Zhao, pull over to the side of the road."

Dali looked at Yu Meng, puzzled. "Did our talking wake you up? Was that car really coming towards us?"

Yu Meng hesitated before speaking. "Perhaps it's someone you know."

As expected, Yu Meng's car stopped on the side of the road, and the black sedan in front of her also stopped.

"Yu Meng, there's another car like this behind us, it's stopped right behind us." Zhao Changsheng saw this in the rearview mirror and hurriedly told Yu Meng.

Yu Meng did not get out of the car; she was waiting for the person to appear.

A moment later, the people in the car behind got out, walked to Yu Meng's car window, and knocked on the glass.

Yu Meng sighed. The more she didn't want to interact with them, the more she ended up interacting with them.

Yu Meng opened the car door and got out. "Grandma Hua, we meet again."

Hua San Niang smiled kindly. "I'm so sorry, young lady. I really had no other choice but to come to you."

Yu Meng looked at her without saying a word.

"I have a patient in the car ahead, could you go check on him?" Hua San Niang tentatively asked. "Of course I won't let you do it for free. How about I trade you one of these surveillance bells?"

"How can you be so sure I can do something that even you, an elderly person, are helpless about?" Yu Meng's face was tense.

Dali, sitting in the car, couldn't hear what the two were saying. She whispered to Zhao Changsheng, "Is my little sister in danger? What should we do?"

Although Zhao Changsheng couldn't hear what the two were saying, he could see from the rearview mirror that their conversation was still within a normal range and there was no sign of them fighting.

"Dali, they seem to know each other. Hmm, Yu Meng's expression seems a bit off," Zhao Changsheng said, staring at the rearview mirror.

"Young lady, please go and take a look. It's a matter of life and death. If I hadn't been desperate, I wouldn't have chased you all the way from the city to find you." Hua San Niang's tone was pleading.

Yu Meng's tone was unpleasant, "I want to own a property in the city. Can you help me arrange that? And put it in my name."

Hua San Niang's eyes lit up. "Okay, if you can arrange it, why can't you? Let's go now." With that, she took Yu Meng's small hand and walked towards the black car in front.

Yu Meng did not break free. She knew that since Hua San Niang had been able to find her trail, there must be no secrets about her in Hua San Niang's eyes.

It's true, people of value always receive special treatment. If she were just an ordinary girl, how would she have known either Hua San Niang or Duo San Niang?

Dali watched helplessly as Yu Meng was pulled away by that person, then quickly opened the car door and got out. "Little sister, where are you going?"

"Oh, young lady, you're here too. I need to talk to your sister about something." Hua San Niang turned around and smiled at Da Li.

"Grandma, it's you." Dali breathed a sigh of relief; it really was someone she knew.

"Big sister, go back to the car and wait. Someone there has fainted, I need to go check on them," Yu Meng said, waving her hand as she turned around.

"Okay. Be careful then, don't overexert yourself," Dali cautioned.

Yu Meng was right. There was indeed an unconscious person lying in the back seat of the car in front.

The person in the car looked to be about eighteen or nineteen years old, with a pale face and his eyes tightly closed.

"I can't find the reason why he's unconscious," Hua San Niang said dejectedly.

Yu Meng didn't reply. She stared intently at the man's head.

Yu Meng rubbed her eyes. What did she see? There was a line in the man's mind, and on that line was a tiny red flower, about the size of a grain of millet.

Yu Meng felt as if her long-held beliefs had collapsed.

"Grandma Hua, how come there are lines in his mind?" Yu Meng asked softly without turning around.

Granny Hua's eyes widened at that moment, and her expression turned serious. Her voice trembled slightly. "What did you just say? Say it again."

Yu Meng turned around and looked at Granny Hua. "There's a line in his mind, and a small red flower is attached to that line."

Granny Hua covered her eyes with her hands, her eyes filled with tears. "The old charlatan was right. You are the one destined for us."

Yu Meng stood there quietly, neither moving nor offering any advice. She was waiting for Granny Hua to give her answer.

After a while, Granny Hua calmed down, her smile becoming more genuine and her tone more kind. "Little girl, can we find a place to talk properly?"

Yu Meng nodded. Now that she knew such a big secret, even if she wanted to leave, Granny Hua probably wouldn't let her go. She might as well go and see what was going on, since Granny Hua had already told her her purpose when they first met.

"Then let's talk in my car." Hua San Niang was very happy, and her smile brought out even more wrinkles on her face.

Yu Meng followed silently behind. Clearly, Hua San Niang didn't want her to save this person. She simply wanted to confirm whether she had the ability to see the problem.

There was only one driver in the car behind. Hua San Niang and Yu Meng got in, and the driver opened the door and got out. He then stood about a meter away. Clearly, he was both bodyguard and driver.

Hua San Niang carefully examined Yu Meng, and then sighed.

"Young lady, I know what you mean. You want to live a carefree life and don't want to get involved in our affairs. But the old charlatan's divination shows that our only chance is with you. That's why I've shamelessly bothered you time and time again." Hua San Niang spoke politely, but with a hint of pleading.

"Are you doing a legitimate profession?" Yu Meng asked, a little curious.

"Of course. Our profession is quite sacred, but we cannot expose it to the public," Hua San Niang said with a sigh.

"Is your organization state-owned?"

"Of course it belongs to the country, and all our equipment is top-of-the-line." Seeing her interest, Hua San Niang revealed some details.

"What do you want me to do?" Yu Meng asked the most crucial question.

Hua San Niang hesitated for a moment, then looked at Yu Meng. "Could you take a closer look at me? I don't think I have many days left to live."

Yu Meng nodded, "Okay!"
