Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 82 Yu's Father: This is too hard for me.

Yu Meng and her sister Dali were enjoying a peaceful life in the countryside when a group of uninvited guests arrived at their small shop in the city.

Mr. Yu looked at the two groups of people in front of him. Both sides wanted the large crystal, and neither side wanted to back down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this large crystal ball is the prized possession of our shop and is not for sale. Would you like to look at something else?"

"Old Yu, I was personally introduced by your in-law Jiang. This is my second time here, so just give me a straight answer and tell me how much is reasonable. I won't haggle."

A man in his forties, slightly stocky but not bulky, wore a dark work jacket with the top two buttons casually undone. He had short, buzz-cut hair, sharp features, and an indomitable spirit. His hands were large and thick, with calloused knuckles, and he exuded a decisive and efficient aura as he walked.

Mr. Yu nodded with a smile. "Boss Guo is right. The mold maker has already agreed to the price you quoted yesterday."

Upon hearing what Mr. Yu said, Boss Guo laughed heartily. "I knew you were reliable, Mr. Yu. If you come across anything good like this again, just have someone let me know. Money is no object."

Mr. Yu wiped the sweat from his forehead. This guy had such a powerful aura; it was as if he would smash the whole shop if they didn't sell to him today. It was terrifying.

Fortunately, his Uncle Feng had informed him of the situation early on; otherwise, he probably wouldn't have been able to handle it now.

The other group, however, refused to accept this. The leader was dressed in a black suit and wore sunglasses, making it difficult to clearly see his true appearance.

"Boss, when two people are fighting over something, isn't it the highest bidder who wins? I'll offer twice as much as him for that big crystal ball. Sell it to me." His tone was very firm.

"Mr. Guo came yesterday and placed an order for this large crystal. If I were to sell it, he would be the first to buy it. I'm a businessman; I can't go back on my word."

Yu's father spoke these words with great lack of confidence. This person's aura was too powerful, even surpassing that of Boss Guo, but since he came in later today, Yu's father could still manage to say a few words.

Boss Guo watched from the side. Seeing that Mr. Yu didn't insist on bidding against the other party even though they offered double the money, his impression of Mr. Yu improved somewhat.

The man in the black suit glanced at the person sitting in the chair next to him, shrouded in a black robe.

Then she looked up at Yu's father. "Is this the only big crystal ball you have here?"

Mr. Yu nodded hurriedly. "The main body of this large crystal ball is made of ice skin, and ice skin is rare, so only this one was made."

"Oh," even Boss Guo was surprised this time. "I was wondering why it felt cool when I touched it."

The person in the black robe spoke, "He still has more."

Boss Guo and the man in the black suit looked up at Mr. Yu together again.

Mr. Yu quickly shook his head. "I really only made this one large crystal. This shop is a business; if I had more, why wouldn't I sell it?"

The man in the black suit spoke up. "He said he does, and you must still have some in your shop. Why don't you sit down and think carefully about whether you still have any?"

Mr. Guo, who had just bought the large crystal, was not in a hurry to leave. He wanted to see just how many treasures were in this small shop.

Mr. Yu's back was soaked with cold sweat. He had never seen anything like it before.

He stammered, "There's only one large crystal. But there's a smaller one, would you like to take a look?" After saying this, Mr. Yu rubbed his hands together and cautiously looked at the man in the black suit.

"Let me see it. Was it made by the same person as that big crystal?" The man in the black suit asked without hesitation. "Don't worry, if we like it, money is no object."

"It was made by one person. There weren't enough materials at the time, so I had to make a small one." Mr. Yu turned and went upstairs.

In no time, he came downstairs with a smaller box.

He placed the box on the table and gestured for the man in the black suit to proceed.

The moment the box was opened, a chilling aura enveloped the face of the man in the black suit.

"Give it to me," the man in the black robe sitting in the chair said in a hoarse voice.

The man in the black suit quickly handed over the box. "Take a look, is this alright?"

The man in the black robe held the box in his arms and nodded after a long while.

"We'll take these. Boss, name your price." The man in the black suit breathed a sigh of relief.

Mr. Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief. "You can decide how much to pay. This is not for sale, and there was no price set at the time."

"Then can we go with the price of that large crystal?"

Mr. Yu nodded hurriedly. "Okay, okay."

The group of people in black suits and the man in black robes gradually left the shop.

Yu's father wiped the sweat from his forehead, sat down in a chair, picked up his teacup, and took a few big gulps. It took him a while to recover.

"Old Yu, you've got guts!" Boss Guo said with a smile from the other side of the table.

Mr. Yu smiled wryly, "I've lived half my life, and this is the first time I've encountered something like this. The fact that I can still sit here and talk to you is, to be honest, half of the reason I have this confidence is because you're here."

"Oh, Mr. Yu, you're too kind. These people have such a strong presence that I'm forced to sit here. Look at my palms, they're all sweaty." Mr. Guo even spread out his hands so Mr. Yu could see.

Mr. Yu chuckled. "Your knowledge far surpasses mine."

Boss Guo changed the subject. "Old Yu, I've noticed you have quite a few treasures in your little shop. What else do you have that you're proud to show me? If it catches my eye, I'll buy it all."

Mr. Yu quickly cupped his hands in greeting. "Boss Guo, you flatter me. My little shop has only been open for less than two months, what treasures could I possibly have? These are just things that the film makers have entrusted to me for sale."

"Boss Yu, tell me the truth, when did the film makers in our town reach this level?" Boss Guo didn't give up.

Mr. Yu laughed, "You know my eldest daughter is engaged to Mingfeng. Mingfeng's maternal grandparents live in the city. Dali once gave a lecture in the city and got to know many mold makers there. It's because of Dali that this little shop has so many different things."

Boss Guo nodded thoughtfully. "Now that you mention it, I believe you. None of the film makers in our town would have this level of skill."

Mr. Guo stood up. "Mr. Yu, it's settled then. From now on, whenever you have something good, you must have someone let me know. When it comes to good things, the more the merrier."

"Definitely, definitely." Mr. Yu nodded in agreement with a big smile.

After Boss Guo left, only Uncle Yu was left in the shop. He plopped down in a chair, panting heavily.

Two heads peeked out from the corner on the second floor: Yu Hai and Zhao Changjiu.

"Dad, have they all left?" Yu Hai asked softly.

"Come on, you two boys, come down here. Go and brew me another pot of tea; I need to calm down."

"Uncle, this is it." Zhao Changjiu gave Yu's father a thumbs-up and then turned and went to the kitchen.
