Seeing Yu Meng's confident expression, Secretary Wu finally realized that what Yu Meng said might actually be true.

"So I'll do it my way?"

Yu Meng nodded, "Let's do it according to Uncle Wu's own ideas. If there are any special considerations, I will let Uncle Wu know."

Yu Meng returned to her room. She took the small water droplet off her neck and placed it in her palm.

This is nothing special. There's less than a drop of energy liquid inside. The crystal, its outer layer peeled off, is tightly bound by the Overlord.

Yu Meng tugged at it with her hand, and Ba Wang, dissatisfied, hid the crystal under his body again.

Yu Meng was unhappy. These were her things; what was wrong with her taking a look?

They forcibly removed the crystal from under the Overlord's body. The Overlord's tentacles stretched out long, vaguely circling around the crystal. It was as if it would snatch it back the moment Yu Meng loosened her grip.

Yu Meng smiled and pointed at the top of the Overlord, "Remember this, even you are mine, so the Alien Mother Crystal Core is naturally mine too."

Whether Ba Wang understood Yu Meng's meaning is unknown, but his tentacles still firmly protected the crystal.

I examined the crystal but found nothing special about it, and I couldn't peel off the second sheet of dough.

Yu Meng stuffed the crystal and the Overlord back into her small backpack.

After thinking for a moment, he stood up and walked towards the door. The two big shots wouldn't allow him to touch the Alien Mother for the time being.

She didn't know what else the alien mother crystal core could be used for. She couldn't waste any more time here, so she decided to go check out the Third Battlefield.

Yu Meng had never known the Third Battlefield was so special. There, mountains rose one after another, shrouded in mist. Unidentified roars echoed all day long. She had no idea how many wild beasts lurked there.

She had also sneaked into the forest, but after seeing her first wild animal, she changed her strategy.

It looked like a rabbit at first glance, with white fur and gray ear tips. That was her first impression, but before she could even decide how to eat it, the rabbit changed.

It was still in the same spot, still the same rabbit, but it had completely changed. Long, thin filaments, a mixture of gray and white, had sprouted from every part of its body. In the blink of an eye, the entire rabbit had turned into a ball of fur.

It tumbled and rushed toward Yu Meng at great speed, the thin thread stretching out as it rolled.

Yu Meng suddenly broke out in a cold sweat; this was a warning sign of danger.

Instinctively, Yu Meng floated into the air. But the fluffy ball didn't give up. It seemed to bounce on the ground and then shot straight towards Yu Meng in the air.

"This is too fast!" she thought to herself, but her body quickly rose higher.

The fluffy ball missed Yu Meng, fell back to the ground, and in the blink of an eye, it turned into a rabbit again.

Yu Meng didn't hold back this time, her lightning-fast strike aimed straight at the rabbit's head.

Seeing that the rabbit had completely stopped breathing, Yu Meng finally landed back on the ground.

He turned his right eye and saw the rabbit's head and internal organs clearly.

Deep in my mind, a worm the size of a soybean lay quietly.

Yu Meng wondered, what is this? Is it a strange alien or a Gu worm?

After a moment of contemplation, Yu Meng didn't reach for the rabbit directly. Instead, she used a string to pull it along, found a water source, lit a fire, and threw the rabbit whole into the flames.

Perhaps the danger of death spurred the insect on, and it miraculously flew out of the rabbit's head, looking fresh and clean.

In an instant, the first feeling it gave Yu Meng was not fear, but rather, it seemed as if it could peel off her skin.

Even faster than Yu Meng was Ba Wang. Sometime later, Ba Wang produced that small backpack. Its tentacles rapidly split open, the slender lines accurately piercing the insect, which deflated in an instant.

The tentacles returned to their original shape, and the entire body retracted into the small backpack. The process was incredibly smooth and seamless.

Yu Meng patted the small backpack. "Since you like it, go out hunting on your own. You need to learn to be self-reliant."

The Overlord remained motionless, its body entwined around the crystal.

Yu Meng chuckled inwardly, wondering who he took after to be so cunning.

She didn't seem to care and continued, "Next time, you can eat it after I peel off the skin."

The Overlord moved slightly.

There were quite a few of these rabbits on the outskirts of the forest. Yu Meng killed rabbits of various shapes and sizes.

But the Overlord preferred the first one.

The pom-pom-shaped rabbit didn't have any of those worms in its brain after it died. And the so-called worm wasn't a real worm; it had the appearance of a worm, but it had no legs, no exoskeleton, and its body wasn't segmented.

Yu Meng held it in her hand, unsure if it was a specialty of this third battlefield, or even if it had any value.

After thinking it over, she decided to take a few samples back with her. As for what Aunt Qing and Qian Chuan could figure out, she wasn't worried about that.

After staying inside for seven days, Yu Meng ran out of food and had no choice but to withdraw from the third battlefield.

At first, she wanted to eat those wild animals, but in the end, she didn't dare to be the guinea pig. If she got sick from eating them, she couldn't guarantee she'd survive.

Carrying several small animals and various insect-shaped creatures, Yu Meng went directly to the first battlefield.

Qingyuan looked at the things in front of her. "These are from the Third Front? How did you get them? The things there are sent directly to a certain organization. They're said to have special uses. We haven't seen them in all these years."

Qingyuan touched this one, then picked up another and looked at it.

Yu Meng tilted her head and said, "I went there and it looked somewhat useful, so I brought it back for you to study."

"That's really risky, Yu Meng. Let me tell you, besides me, you can't tell anyone else that they're from the Third Front."

"Not quite." Qingyuan picked up the worm-like object again and examined it closely. "But according to your description, it also has Xenomorph characteristics; it can parasitize animals. Yet it can also allow wild beasts to maintain their original form. The Xenomorphs in the First and Fourth Battlefields couldn't do that."

"Okay, I'll have Qian Chuan come back. What about these? Can we eat their meat?" Yu Meng pointed to the meat they had brought back.

"These are easy to handle. Just send them for testing. As long as they're not poisonous and taste okay, they're fine to eat."

"Aren't you afraid of being exposed?"

"Don't worry, we can test it ourselves, it's very convenient."
