"Who is it?" The long-haired man asked softly, looking at the overlord's tentacles.

"It's me," Yu Meng replied softly.

"Is it Yu Meng?" the long-haired man asked uncertainly.

"Yes, it's me."

Yu Meng moved closer. "You can't move?"

The long-haired man didn't answer Yu Meng's question, but instead asked something else, "Did Ba Wang come looking for you?"

"Hmm," Yu Meng mumbled in response.

The long-haired man's breathing became erratic. "This place is dangerous. You should leave now. You can't save me like this."

Yu Meng didn't leave. Instead, she asked, "Didn't you come here to find the extraordinary person from the Jing family? Why are you like this?"

"Hurry up and leave. If they find out, you won't be able to leave, and then I'll have one more sin to bear," the long-haired man urged again.

"Well, nobody's coming here for now," Yu Meng said cryptically. "It's dark, everyone's asleep, who'd be out for a stroll?"
