Why did you provoke me?

Niannian gave Jing Ancheng a meaningful look. Then she spoke to the newcomer.

"I still have a few things to prepare, I'll be there shortly."

The visitor tactfully withdrew from the dense forest. Nian Nian looked at Yu Meng and said, "Fourth Sister, the person negotiating with us is at the young master level. It seems we can ask for more."

Yu Meng reached out and tapped her forehead. "Greed will bury you. Besides, you don't lack those material things."

She then looked at Jing Ancheng. "If their identities allow, let's ask them for a favor. That way, we can legitimately enter their alien war."

Jing Ancheng paused for a moment. In the eyes of aristocratic families, favors were not to be given lightly. Because favors were priceless.

He asked cautiously, "Should I ask for a favor first, and then use that favor to get a spot in the Alien Battlefield?"

Yu Meng nodded, "That's good. We need more resources to become stronger. The more resources you want, the more it proves your greed."

Jing Ancheng nodded. "I understand. I will handle this very well."

Hearing that their conversation had come to an end, Niannian hurriedly grabbed Yu Meng's hand. "Fourth Sister, that's the young master. If we ask for too little, won't they say we're looking down on them?"

Hua Shulang's brain was completely scrambled. What kind of person could have such a thought process? Which person providing supplies wouldn't want to spend less money to accomplish a great thing?

Yu Meng didn't refute her words, but instead directly asked, "If you were asked to do something for money, would you be willing to spend more money just to save face?"

Niannian chuckled, "I'm just an ordinary citizen, what face do I have? Of course, the less money the better."

"Then what makes you think he would multiply the money in his pocket several times over and give it to someone else?"

Yu Meng patted Niannian on the shoulder, "You don't understand. The less he spends in front of us, the more face he has. And having face is something that only exists when people are of equal status."

Niannian didn't quite understand, but she was willing to listen to Yu Meng.

Jing Ancheng, raised in a truly prestigious family, was now looking at Yu Meng with newfound respect. He hadn't expected Yu Meng to have such a clear understanding of the true nature of powerful clans.

Niannian retrieved the small gray straw from underground and led Jing San and Jing Ancheng out of the dense forest for the second time.

Chen Ming had been waiting for a long time. When Niannian saw the long-haired man standing to the side, she spoke first, "Oh, you're here too. Let's go see the patient. As for this place, we'll leave it to them."

As she left, she turned back to Jing Ancheng and said, "Brother Jing, I promised him that if he refers any more patients to me, I'll give him a discount."

Jing San's lips twitched. This guy wasn't even going to give her face, let alone expect anything in return. What happened to the supposedly noble status of the young master?

The long-haired man glanced at Niannian, then silently turned and walked towards another tent.

Niannian rolled her eyes. "Brother, do you have any more of these alien parasites? If so, as long as you introduced them, we'll split the money 70/30, I get 70% and you get 30%. After all, you can use these to gain favors and resources."

The long-haired man lifted the tent flap and said softly, "Not interested."

"Ah," Niannian stopped before even going inside, "You don't want money? You don't want connections or resources either?"

The long-haired man gestured for them to proceed.

Niannian muttered to herself, "This is the first time I've met someone like you. It would be such a great thing to be able to cooperate with a powerful bone painter like me, and you just refused like that."

Niannian shook her head and walked inside.

Sure enough, this person looked almost identical to the one from yesterday. However, this person's eyes were still very clear, and when he looked at people, Nian Nian felt that his eyes were like a black vortex that could suck in a person's life force.

But she wasn't afraid. Instead, she greeted everyone casually.

"He looks much stronger than the one from yesterday. My lines will enter your mind in a moment, so I hope you won't resist."

Old Chen sat on the bed, holding something in his hand. Niannian didn't understand what it was, but she didn't care. She came here for the energy within those aliens.

Otherwise, given her personality, she wouldn't have the patience to come out and save people.

Old Chen nodded, and the image of the little gray straw he had been longing for instantly entered his mind.

Niannian closed her eyes; this person didn't have much of that alien in their mind.

But the aliens are growing very fast. It's as if many new aliens are eagerly emerging.

Niannian couldn't help but gasp softly. There were fewer aliens, but the energy seemed to have increased rather than decreased.

The long-haired man stepped forward. "Is something wrong?"

Niannian is smart; yesterday, that long-haired man didn't ask her a single word of concern.

After pondering for a moment, Nian Nian nodded. "There is something amiss. Was the alien in his brain repeatedly extracted by your bone-drawing master?"

Old Chen's eyelids twitched slightly. This young bone painter was indeed quite skilled; he could even tell that.

The long-haired man, however, didn't think that way. He had said something similar yesterday, so it was natural for her to guess what he meant. Therefore, he didn't waste any words and asked directly, "What do you want?"

"Huh?" Niannian was a little confused and blurted out unconsciously, "Don't want what?"

Old Chen chimed in, "So what you meant just now was...?"

"Well, it just takes a bit longer."

Both Old Chen and the long-haired man breathed a sigh of relief; they had both thought something unexpected was about to happen.

Niannian closed her eyes and chuckled inwardly. So what if he's a big shot? He was still given a big scare by her.

Actually, Niannian wasn't lying. An hour later, she finally finished absorbing the alien energy in her mind. Then, she casually pulled all the aliens out.

Niannian looked tired. When the long-haired man saw the person out, he gave her a large box, saying, "Inside are medicinal stones, top-grade ones."

Niannian glanced at him, didn't take it, and instead asked, "Is there anything else?"

The long-haired man didn't expect her to be so direct. He thought for a moment and chuckled, "I also want a few of those little white beads."

"What are you doing? Trying to steal my skills?" Niannian didn't know why, but she didn't feel restrained at all next to this long-haired man, just as comfortable as she was next to her fourth sister.

Niannian took the large box. "As a bone painter, I might not lack medicine, but if this is payment for making a few beads, then I can still accept it."

Jing Ancheng, Jing San, and Chen Ming, who were standing outside the tent, all heard what Nian Nian said.

They all thought that asking for medicine as payment for making just a few beads must mean they misheard.

As soon as Niannian stepped out of the tent, she spotted Jing San and her eyes lit up. "He can do that too. Let him do it for you. I have something to do, so I'll be going now." She wanted to go back and have the little black cat do the styling for her.

Niannian pushed Jing San in front of the long-haired man, "Third Brother can also make alien beads, let him make one for you."

He then waved his hand and quickly ran into the dense forest. Jing Ancheng gave Jing San a look that said "good luck," and followed Nian Nian into the forest.
