The Bone Painter's actions immediately alarmed the Overlord.

It floated in the air, its tentacles pointing towards the long-haired man, then whipping the surrounding air.

Everyone could tell what it meant; it was angry.

Without Elder Chen's orders, the bone painter did not stop his progress.

Yu Meng, nestled in the woods, smiled slightly. Those who had repeatedly interrupted her mealtimes and acted like tyrants—time for a little lesson!

The tyrant, who was lashing out wildly, suddenly increased his speed and went straight for the head of a bone painter.

The objective was clear, and the speed was swift. Everyone witnessed this scene, and the bone artist hurriedly released his lines to defend himself.

"Wait a minute," the long-haired man said hastily.

The overlord turned around in a human-like manner.

"Take whatever you want from these, they're all yours," the long-haired man said again.

The long-haired man breathed a sigh of relief. When only six strands remained, the lines stopped falling off, and the Overlord disappeared from everyone's sight.

The man was stunned; he had breathed a sigh of relief a little too soon.

Yu Meng called back the little black cat and left. She came and went in a hurry.

Old Chen didn't react until the Overlord disappeared. "It, it, it actually managed to enter the Bone Painter's brain and even pull out the lines? What exactly is it?"

The group carried the unconscious bone painter into the tent, and the person called "teacher" sat down beside him.

"How are you?" the young woman asked in a trembling voice. What happened today had frightened her a bit.

"There's some damage to the brain. Fortunately, not all the lines have been taken away," the teacher said softly.

"When will she wake up?" the woman called Aunt Qiu asked.

"It's hard to say." The person addressed as "teacher" looked worried. "At my age, I've never seen anything like this before."

"This alien is terrifying. It can even pull out lines. If it parasitizes someone, will that person still be able to survive?"

Everyone fell silent.

The long-haired man stood at the entrance of the tent without going in, but he could still hear the conversation inside.

Old Chen made no comment and turned to go back to his room. The long-haired man silently followed behind.

"Sir, will it attack me?"

The long-haired man shook his head. "Since you didn't step forward, you're not an enemy in its world."

Old Chen nodded. He was also a little frightened by what happened today, but as someone in a high position, he couldn't lose his composure in front of so many people. However, in front of Mr. Chen, he could be himself.

Hearing the long-haired man's words, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Are you still going to catch it?"

She paused for a moment, then continued walking towards the meadow.

The tents were removed, and only one room in the house had light, but no one was inside.

The long-haired man stood outside, looking at the grass in front of him.

The Overlord didn't hide its presence and greeted the long-haired man before starting its feast.

Without hesitation, the Overlord placed his tentacles directly on the core of the formation.

A cool night breeze blew as Yu Meng sat high in a tree. A long-haired man and the Overlord were having a private conversation there.

Later, the Overlord simply began absorbing energy not far from the long-haired man. The long-haired man wasn't idle either; as soon as the magic circle in front of the Overlord dissipated, he set up a new one, moving quickly and patiently.

With the scene harmonious, Yu Meng had another idea.

I'm a kind person too, and I can't let you give without receiving anything in return.

Under the long-haired man's gaze, the Overlord entered the crevice in the ground.

The long-haired man squatted there without moving. After a while, the Overlord reappeared, its tentacles wrapped around something. It was the alien that could be made into an eyeball bracelet.

It drifted to the long-haired man, put the things down, and then moved to the core of the small magic circle, lying down on it. Its tentacles swayed like tails, making it clear to anyone who saw it that it was in a very good mood.

The long-haired man picked up the alien from the ground; it was as big as a pigeon egg and had stripes of varying shades on it.

"What's this, a thank-you gift for me?" the long-haired man joked.

The Overlord's tentacles rose up and tapped.

The long-haired man chuckled. "It really is! I never expected that the first person to give me a thank-you gift would be an alien. It's just a thank-you gift; there's nothing else going on."

After rubbing it in his hands for a while, he asked again, "Is it something from the original forest?"

The Overlord's tentacles tapped again.

"You really don't take advantage of others. I use my skills, and you use your local specialties. In your mind, isn't that an equal exchange?"

The Overlord didn't respond; it was too complicated for it to understand.

With a soft sigh, the long-haired man stood up, raised his hand and made a gesture. Someone silently stood in front of him. "Take it back, the thing in the dense forest."

Yu Meng smiled from the tree, "There's a way!"
