Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 337 The Miraculous Cripple

Yu Meng couldn't bear to watch Jing Er grinning like an idiot.

She didn't know how things were going, but she had a feeling that they would definitely give her a big scare this time, whether it was a warning or suppression, it wouldn't be a light matter.

Although Jing San and Niannian are both very capable, she is still worried.

Just then, Zhou Jingyan arrived, so she entrusted the clubhouse to Nangong Tianshou. If anything went wrong, Zhou Jingyan wouldn't stand idly by. This was perfectly timed!

"Teacher Yu, should we speed up our journey?" Jing Er asked, tilting his head. He had never been on a mission with Yu Meng before and didn't know her temperament.

"No need for now. We're businessmen going to Feng County to buy honey. Just keep an eye out for any strange people or vehicles along the way," Yu Meng said with her eyes closed.

Sitting in the back, Yu Er quickly forwarded Yu Meng's words to the message group in the intercom.

Jing'er actually wanted to ask what a strange person was, but seeing that Yu Meng had closed her eyes, she kept quiet.

Niannian's plan went smoothly, and that very night, several more people sneaked into the small hotel where they were staying.

The men were caught, but they didn't get any information out of them. "They only said that someone paid them to scout out if there were any women in the group."

Niannian tugged at her clothes and gave Jing San a look, as if to say, "How's my outfit?"

After putting away the bracelet, Niannian sighed, "This eyeball bracelet is really useful, but it's too conspicuous. It would be better if it were more ordinary."

Jing San pursed her lips. "Teacher Yu has a bracelet, it's very ordinary, you'd think it was just a wooden bracelet if you didn't know better."

Niannian rolled her eyes at him. "You dare to covet Fourth Sister's things?"

"Don't wrong me. What I meant was that you study it and make everything look like that."

Niannian didn't say yes or no, but just kicked the person on the ground, asking, "What should we do with this person?"

"Easy. We'll give him the information, let him make that money, and they'll definitely send someone over again."

Niannian looked at Jing San and said, "Let him make money? We'd be fighting to the death over this. Why do I feel that's wrong?"

"How about," Jing San hesitated, but finally said, "we sell the information to him and make the money?"

Niannian paused for a moment, then gave a thumbs up. "Third Brother, you're so thoughtful."

When the two captured men woke up, Si Jiu was fiddling with the weapon in his hand. When he saw that they were awake, he raised his eyelids slightly.

"You guys have some nerve, daring to attack such a large group like us?"

The skinny man shrank back slightly. "Brother, we were forced into this. If we don't agree, my mother will go hungry. We know we were wrong, please be merciful and let us go."

Si Jiu put down the tranquilizer gun in his hand. "What are you looking for here?"

The skinny man pursed his lips. "He said his sister had been kidnapped, and your convoy was passing through their village at the time."

"That's it? He could have just asked us directly. We have rules, how can we do this?" Si Jiu paused for a moment, then suddenly lost his temper.

"Big brother, big brother, don't be angry. That's what they said, not what I said."

Si Jiu snorted but didn't say anything.

The skinny man's eyes darted around. "Hey bro, I see you've booked the whole inn. Is there some important person here?"

"Is that something you should be asking?" Si Jiu irritably reached into his pocket, rummaged around for a bit, and then pulled his hand out empty.

The lame man who hadn't spoken until now silently slipped a silver ring into Si Jiu's hand.

Si Jiu chuckled, casually tossed the item up and caught it again, "What do you mean? Letting you go is out of the question."

"No, no, I just needed to use the restroom. Would it be possible if I could?"

"What a nuisance." Si Jiu stood up impatiently and kicked the little guy on the ground. "Behave yourself."

He then led the cripple out of the room. The two turned a corner, and the cripple leaned against the wall. Si Jiu warily raised his gun. "Why are you stopping? Hurry up."

The cripple rummaged around on his person and pulled out a bracelet, handing it to Si Jiu. "Is there a woman living in that innermost room?"

Si Jiu didn't speak, and the cripple took out a small bag and stuffed it into his hand. "You just need to say yes or no. That way, you won't be considered a traitor."

Si Jiu chuckled, shaking the bag in his hand. "If I hand you over, do you think I'll get a reward?"

The cripple sighed. "This is all I have. You can have it all."

Si Jiu scoffed, reaching out to grab him. "You're kidding me. I searched you just now, and there was nothing. How many items have you produced now?"

"No, no, brother, don't do it. It's just money, right? That's easy. Let go first." He held Si Jiu's hands tightly with both of his.

The clothes were so tight that the cripple was having trouble breathing. When Si Jiu loosened his grip, he coughed a few times before he felt better.

Si Jiu's face darkened. "Give it to me!"

The lame man coughed and pulled out another bag. He didn't give it to Si Jiu, saying, "You still haven't told me?"

Before he could finish speaking, Si Jiu snatched it away, saying, "Are there any more? Take them all out."

The lame man forced a smile. "Really? Well, brother, is it just one word or two? You have to give me some kind of answer, right?"

Si Jiu didn't say anything, but pulled the person over and patted him from shoulder to ankle, but there was nothing there. He didn't believe it and patted him again, but there was still nothing there.

Si Jiu looked puzzled and then turned to the cripple again. "You yourself seem quite valuable?"

The cripple looked at him warily and took a step back. "Don't do anything reckless. I'm only spending this much money to buy information. I owe someone a favor and have no choice but to come. This isn't my job."

Si Jiu gently patted his shoulder, "There are a few more left. Take them all out, and I promise I'll let you leave smoothly."

The lame man didn't move, but instead asked him, "Really?"

"If I'm paid to do something, I'll do it. Besides, it's just a matter of a single word, why would I lie to you?"

The cripple quickly patted himself down and stuffed the two bags back into Si Jiu's arms.

"Then I'll make an excuse to pee. You should leave if you get the chance. They messed with the wrong people, and someone's about to die here." The cripple had barely finished speaking when he was already on the wall and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Si Jiu stared blankly at the top of the wall. Then she looked at the bag in her hand.

This scene was also witnessed by Jing San and Nian Nian, who were hiding in the shadows.

"Third Brother, who is that person? He seems very powerful."

Jing San frowned deeply. "Oh no, we seem to have gotten ourselves into big trouble. Let's go find Zhang Zhen and see what he has to say."

The two left Si Jiu, who was standing there in a daze, and ran to Zhang Zhen's room.

Zhang Zhen was fiddling with the lines in his room, but no matter what method he used, the lines wouldn't cooperate. They were like inanimate objects, no matter how he tried to manipulate them.
