Why did you provoke me?

After Secretary Wu left, Yu Meng sat in her chair, feeling as if she were dreaming. How had she managed to turn a reclusive family into an appendage of her sect?

The frustrating thing is that this matter has to be kept secret, it can't be made public, and no one can know that she was the one who gave the advice behind the scenes.

Niannian ran into Yu Meng's office. "Fourth Sister, Aunt Qing wants you to come over. It seems she's made a big discovery."

Yu Meng stood up. "When did you see Aunt Qing?"

Niannian looked around carefully, then leaned close to Yu Meng's ear, "I've noticed that Qian Chuan has changed quite a bit. Do you remember Aunt Qing's tea mug, the one with the red 'double happiness' character on it? Qian Chuan pinched the top with his fingers, intending to move it, but he ended up deforming the mug. Then he acted like nothing had happened and put it back in its original shape, but the white paint on the rim of the mug all chipped off, making it look really ugly. Aunt Qing was disgusted, and the next day, Qian Chuan replaced it with a new one."

"Has his strength increased?"

Niannian nodded, "That should be true. And he's very smart. When we all play the quick 24 game, he always comes in first. And in the idiom chain game, there's no one he can't finish. I think he's even better than Secretary Wu."

"Niannian, wouldn't you like to try some of Aunt Qing's research?"

"If you could become powerful and intelligent, wouldn't you want to eat it?"

Yu Meng nodded, "I want to!"

"Then ask Aunt Qing to research some food for me too, I want to be both capable and smart."

"Niannian, is it possible that Qian Chuan was always intelligent?"

"Impossible. The person with him, Fourth Sister, do you remember him? He said Qian Chuan wasn't like this before. He was very quiet, and he usually didn't express his opinions."

Yu Meng walked quickly, saying, "When I have the chance, I'll ask Aunt Qing if such a good thing can be arranged for us first."

"That's right, we can't let outsiders benefit from this," Niannian replied happily.

"An outsider? He's not from the sect?" Yu Meng asked in confusion.

Soon, the two arrived at Qingyuan's laboratory.

Through the window, Qingyuan sat at the table writing something, while Qian Chuan nodded beside her. Yu Meng slowed her pace, halting her urge to go inside. "Wait a minute."

"Huh?" Nian Nian turned around, puzzled. Yu Meng pointed inside, "Wait until they finish speaking."

Although the sound was very soft, Qian Chuan still noticed it. He looked up outside, then looked down and said something to Qing Yuan.

Qingyuan looked up and waved to Yu Meng, "Come in quickly. I have good news for you."

Niannian pulled Yu Meng inside, saying, "Aunt Qing, Fourth Sister is here."

Qingyuan didn't stand up, but casually handed a piece of paper to Yu Meng, saying, "Look at these data, they're amazing."

Niannian also craned her neck to look over, but after reading the black and white text from top to bottom, she still couldn't understand a thing.

"Aunt Qing, is this some kind of celestial script?"

Qingyuan laughed, "If I could write that stuff, would I still be your Aunt Qing? This is unique code, my patent."

Niannian looked at Yu Meng, "Fourth Sister, can you understand?"

"Hmm, not bad!" Yu Meng's expression was indifferent.

"I've read Aunt Qing's code book once." After reviewing all the data, Yu Meng actually smiled. "Aunt Qing, you're amazing."

"What's so great about me? If it weren't for the ideas you provided, I wouldn't have made such great progress," Qingyuan said with a smile.

Yu Meng found a chair and sat down. "If we have enough raw materials, can we mass-produce it?"

Qingyuan looked at Yu Meng in surprise, "You're planning to mass-produce it?"

"Oh, I didn't explain clearly. It's for mass production as a benefit for the sect," Yu Meng said casually.

Qian Chuan, who showed no intention of leaving, looked up at Yu Meng upon hearing this.

Qingyuan pondered for a moment, "It's not impossible, it's just that our equipment is a bit outdated, so the output might be very low."

Yu Meng didn't speak, but looked at Qian Chuan.

Qian Chuan instantly realized that what they were about to say seemed to involve confidential information. He looked at Qing Yuan and said, "Aunt Qing, I have something to take care of first. If you need anything, just have someone find me."

"Okay, then go and get it done quickly?" Qingyuan didn't think much of it.

After Qian Chuan left, Yu Meng looked at Niannian and said, "Niannian, go and stand guard at the door. If anyone comes, let them know."

Niannian agreed and went out.

Qingyuan finally realized something was wrong. "Yumeng, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing, I just have something I'd like to discuss with you."

"You said it, Aunt Qing will listen to you."

Yu Meng organized her thoughts for a moment, then said, "Aunt Qing, I'll just get straight to the point."

"We're not outsiders, so just say what you want to say." After saying that, Qingyuan glared at Yu Meng.

"Qian Chuan accompanied you throughout this experiment. What is your impression of him?" Yu Meng asked directly, bringing up Qian Chuan.

"Smart, perceptive, and sometimes even knows what I'm going to do next, so I can prepare things in advance."

"Is it really that good?"

"Yu Meng, Aunt Qing isn't just praising him, but sometimes when he says a few words, my thoughts just suddenly open up."

"Did Aunt Qing consider keeping him as your assistant?" Yu Meng asked directly.

"Yes! Shall I ask him?"

Qingyuan nodded in agreement. "At first, I wanted Huang Yan to take over my research, but I don't even know what she's busy with now." Her tone was filled with an indescribable sense of desolation.

"I heard from Niannian that Qian Chuan has been working as an assistant here, which reminded me of this matter. However, he is not from our sect. I will ask Secretary Wu to try and see if he is willing to join the sect. After all, Aunt Qing's research is very important and cannot be leaked."

Qingyuan grabbed Yu Meng's hand. "Let Secretary Wu speak properly. You went to great lengths to save him. That child has a kind heart."
