Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 206 Nian Nian's Remote Control Support

When Li Shuchen heard that it was a lucky bead, he didn't refuse anymore; he knew it was a good thing.

Despite his low status, he was well-informed, and he'd heard plenty of rumors. He'd heard of lucky beads before, but never knew what they looked like. He never imagined that these ugly, tiny beads were actually lucky beads.

Yu Er and the others drove up. The car was missing its markings, and the exterior was quite worn. "Jing Er, how is it?"

"Just adjust everything that needs adjusting."

"Don't worry about me handling things."

Jing Er glanced at Li Shuchen and said, "Then we'll part ways here. Perhaps we'll meet again someday if fate allows."

Li Shuchen watched the departing car, then looked at the beads in his hand. He muttered to himself, "What a bunch of honest people. They just suffered, yet they still trust a stranger like me."

Three men ran over from a distance. "Master Li, what are your orders?"

"Have someone keep an eye on them and see where they're going."

He then pointed to the people on the ground, "Take them all away and clean up the mess."

"Master Li, these people are working for the fake Immortal. Should we take them away too?"

"Take them away, I'm very interested in their comas!"

Before long, the place turned into a dilapidated abandoned hut.

Unbeknownst to anyone, three forces were probing each other here.

In the car.

Yu Er looked at Jing Er, "Why did you give him the lucky bead?"

"Regardless of who he is, just the fact that he told us Yan Lei was looking for us, letting us know that we hadn't been abandoned, makes him worth a single alien bead."

"That's true. I thought you'd forgotten the pain once the wound healed and were pouring your heart out to someone again."

"Am I really that stupid? I have a bad memory, and I forget everything that happened in just a couple of days."

"Hehe, I was just afraid you'd forget. I didn't mean anything by it."

"Yu Er, if we take this car back, do you think our punishment will be lighter?"

"My thoughts are different from yours. If we are severely punished, it proves that the sect still cares about us. If we are lightly punished or not punished at all, I think the sect may have really given up on us."

Jing Er looked at him suspiciously. "Is there such a saying? The bigger the mistake, the heavier the punishment. We just let our guard down and didn't make any mistakes in principle. We didn't make any mistakes in the mission either. Nangong gave us an excellent evaluation."

"But my mom says that she'll only be strict with you if she wants you to be good to you," Yu Er said, somewhat confused.

Xiao Wen received Jing San's message and gathered the team members. "We have news. Let's set off immediately to bring them back."

"Should we go straight there?" Niannian was already prepared.

Xiao Wen shook his head. "Follow them secretly, save them some face, otherwise it will be awkward when we meet again."

"Oh, so we're going back now? But we haven't done anything!"

Xiao Wen chuckled. "So what do you want to do? Have a fight?"

Niannian stroked her chin. "It's not impossible. I'm fully prepared. I'm not afraid of most people."

Niannian moved closer to Xiao Wen and asked in a low voice, "Do you know where Jing San and the others went?"

Xiao Wen was taken aback. "They're on a secret mission. How would I know?"

"Why don't you contact them and see if you need our help?"

"That's against the rules," Xiao Wen refused decisively.

"Well, asking isn't breaking the rules. Or, you can give me their contact information and I'll contact them."

Niannian felt that she had worked so hard to get the opportunity, but she hadn't been able to use it to her advantage, and she felt like she had lost out.

Xiao Wen ignored Niannian; her demands were too high, and he couldn't possibly meet them.

Niannian sat listlessly in the car. She didn't want to go back, but she also knew that Xiao Wen had the final say in this matter, and she couldn't act impulsively.

Xiao Wen's communication bell rang, and Niannian's eyes lit up. She opened the bell, and Jing Er's voice came through, "We'll be in Zhongcheng in an hour. Where are you?"

"So fast? We still have half an hour."

"Shall we meet in Midtown?" Jing Er's voice was filled with joy.

"Sure! Keep in touch!" Xiao Wen's reply was concise and clear.

The light in Niannian's eyes dimmed.

Xiao Wen looked at her amusedly, "The most important thing for us on a mission is safety. Not every mission is about fighting and killing."

"But that's not what the book says. Every mission there is thrilling, and you'll meet someone special."

"You said it yourself, it's just a sketchbook, it doesn't count," Xiao Wen explained patiently.

Upon arriving in Zhongcheng, Xiao Wen took Niannian for a stroll, buying some unique items and food.

After they met up with Jing'er, the two convoys were about 100 meters apart.

Niannian looked at the car in front of her curiously. "When they left, I remember Nangong Tianshou sent someone to pick them up. Did they earn a car to bring them back?" She looked at Xiao Wen. "Do you guys make this much money on missions?"

"Did you see the car you earned from this mission?" Xiao Wen asked her, amused.

"If we just stay there and don't move, how will you make money?" Niannian rolled her eyes.

Amidst laughter and conversation, the convoy traveled a considerable distance.

Niannian had long lost the excitement she had when she arrived. She closed her eyes and pretended to sleep.

Xiao Wen's communication bell rang again. Niannian glanced at it, then closed her eyes to rest.

"Xiao Wen, do you have a bone-drawing master by your side?" a hoarse voice came.

Niannian suddenly opened her eyes and stared intently at the communication bell.

"Yes. Who are you?"

"I am a former member of Jing San's team, and also a former member of the third team. Tell the bone painter next to you that we met at Teacher Yu's old house. There were four of us, including me."

"What's the state of those three people?" Niannian asked from the side.

"My hands and feet are strapped to a wheelchair," the other person replied quickly.

Xiao Wen looked at Niannian, and Niannian nodded.

"Where are you?" Xiao Wen asked in a calm tone.

"In a mountain. We need a bone painter."

"Can you tell me what happened? How do we get there?"

After a long silence, the person on the other end finally spoke, "We followed the markings and found their headquarters. But we didn't expect there to be a powerful bone artist there. I don't know what methods she used, but our lines slipped out of our control."

"Oh no, the lines are not behaving properly?" Niannian asked anxiously.

"Yes."

"Where are you all? Are you asleep and unable to wake up?"

"There are three people in the state you described."

"Are your lines scattered in the air, or are they gathered together?"

"They've come together."

Niannian got excited, "Are you the one who's sober?"

"And Jing San too. The others aren't doing very well either."

Is anyone around you right now?

"I carried them onto the plane, but they didn't respond."

"It's not a big deal. There should be an alien with its skin peeled off where the lines converge. Use your lines to move it onto the plane. Then you can just fly away."

The person on the other end hesitated for a moment before saying softly, "I can't fly a plane. Anyone who can is unconscious."

"I see," Niannian said, trying hard to recall Qing Si's behavior back then.

"They're hallucinating and won't wake up for a while. Forcibly waking them isn't a good idea." Niannian thought hard, and the image of Yu Meng pressing the red willow noodles back into place appeared in Niannian's mind. But it was clear now that the noodles should be in the hands of the bone painter over there.

Niannian's little head raced, and she slapped her hand suddenly, "Can you make medicine stones?"

"I know a little bit, but I'm not an expert."

"Just knowing how to do it is enough, you don't need to be an expert." Niannian was happy.
