Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 18 sold a green bracelet.

Suppressing her wild thoughts, Yu Meng returned home.

She took out her green bracelet and handed it to Mr. Yu.

Mr. Yu looked at her suspiciously, "Are you going to sell this?"

Yu Meng shook her head. "Let Lao Wei's shop sell it on consignment. He can take 10% of the profit."

Mr. Yu had never heard of this way of selling goods before. He looked at Yu Meng hesitantly. "Will this work?"

"Let's give it a try. It should work," Yu Meng thought to himself. As long as Boss Wei wasn't a fool, it should work. That way, he would only make a profit, without any risk. Unless he was completely stupid, he would agree.

Mr. Yu placed the bracelet into an exquisite box, then looked at Yu Meng. "How much is this?"

Yu dreamed for a moment. "20 gold coins, I guess."

Mr. Yu's hand trembled slightly, and he looked at Yu Meng with a complicated expression. "Little Fourth, will what I'm saying scare Boss Wei?"

"This string of beads has 12 beads in total, plus it's handmade. It's not expensive," Yu Meng explained.

Mr. Yu thought for a moment. "If Lao Wei doesn't agree, then I'll go ask the family across the street."

Yu Meng looked at her father and asked, "You know that place too?"

Mr. Yu said, "I heard that company has a very good reputation. But they drive the price down, so I've never sold to them."

"They won't take my things for themselves, will they?" Yu Meng was still a little worried. Such good stuff, if the shop owner had bad intentions, they probably wouldn't have anywhere to seek justice.

"No, that won't happen. We'll sign a contract then." Yu's father used a word that Yu Meng had never encountered before.

Yu Meng thought for a moment, then took out the bracelet again. Pointing to a spot, she asked her father to memorize it carefully. "This is the mark I use to mark my work. Anything with this mark is something I made."

Looking at Yu Meng, Yu's father realized he had truly underestimated this child. Such maturity at such a young age!

Mr. Yu looked at it carefully again and again. Then he closed his eyes and pondered for a while. Finally, he looked at Yu Meng and nodded. "Dad will remember."

Yu Meng found her father's expression amusing. "There's actually a small switch here. Let me demonstrate it for you, Dad."

Yu Meng took the bracelet; there was a dot under the mark. Yu Meng gently touched it with her fingertip.

A magical scene unfolded. The dot gradually transformed into the Chinese character "于".

Dad's eyes widened. "What you did is quite amazing. But once it's been touched, people will easily see through it."

"Dad, take another look." Yu Meng handed the bracelet over again.

Mr. Yu took it and examined it closely. "Why is it still the same spot?"

"This is an anti-counterfeiting mark I made. If my work becomes famous in the future, it will be very expensive. At that time, if someone counterfeits my work, I will be able to recognize it at a glance." Yu Meng didn't know if her father could understand, but she still said it again.

"Okay, I've got it." Dad only said he had got it, without saying he understood it.

Yu Meng didn't care. She planned to pursue a high-end production career, and her works might be consigned or auctioned. She would never be like her older sister, joining a mining group and running around everywhere.

Actually, Yu's father wasn't sure what to do. He had never done anything like this before! But since Xiao Si had asked him to, he figured it wouldn't hurt to do it once.

When Mr. Yu arrived in town, the first place he went was Mr. Wei's shop.

Boss Wei was as enthusiastic as ever. "Old Yu, it's been a long time since you've come here."

"A bit busy lately?" Mr. Yu didn't say much. Thanks to Dali, everyone in town knew that Mr. Yu was Yu Li's father, and they no longer mocked or glared at him as before, but greeted him warmly.

Mr. Yu sighed to himself, realizing that he hadn't benefited from his son's success, but had instead benefited from his daughter's.

But enthusiasm is enthusiasm, and business is business. Despite Boss Wei's warm hospitality, the price remains the same when it comes to buying and selling.

Mr. Yu was already familiar with this routine, so he didn't exchange many pleasantries and handed a small box to Mr. Wei.

When Boss Wei saw the small box on the counter, his smile became more genuine. "You've got some good stuff again?"

Mr. Yu didn't speak, but simply gestured with his chin. "Let's take a look at the goods first."

"I knew you'd take special care of me, Brother Yu." Boss Wei carefully opened the box. A string of emerald green beads lay quietly inside.

Boss Wei carefully picked up the bracelet and held it up to the sunlight.

In the blink of an eye, he felt as if he had arrived at the Green Grassland. The scent of grass wafted over him, bringing a moment of peace to his spirit.

Boss Wei gasped; this was truly a good product.

Just then, someone next to them held out a hand. "I'll take this bracelet. Sir, name your price."

The words were spoken to Mr. Yu, who had clearly been watching for a long time.

Mr. Yu glanced at Boss Wei with a somewhat helpless expression. He had planned to consign this item to Boss Wei.

Mr. Yu looked at the newcomer. The man was dressed in a sharp suit and wore gold-rimmed glasses. Surprisingly, he was also wearing leather shoes.

Mr. Yu knew perfectly well that this woman was not short of money. He recalled what Yu Meng had said to him before she left.

"This is something I'm consigning for someone else; he wants 25 gold coins," Mr. Yu said cautiously.

The man frowned. "Isn't it too expensive?"

Mr. Yu shook his head. "This is that person's price. I won't sell it for less." His tone was very certain.

The man didn't speak, but simply put the bracelet on his wrist and seemed to be carefully feeling something.

A moment later, a slight smile appeared on his lips. "Okay, 25 gold coins, I'll take it."

The man readily handed the money to Mr. Yu. Throughout the entire process, Boss Wei remained silent, his face beaming with smiles.

As he was leaving, the man said to Boss Wei, "If this uncle has any more items like this, and wants to consign them to you, please remember to leave them for me. This is my business card."

Mr. Wei hurriedly accepted the business card with both hands. "Okay, sir."

Mr. Yu carefully pocketed the money and turned to leave.

At this moment, Boss Wei grabbed Yu's father. "You just said that you planned to consign that bracelet. Are you planning to put that bracelet in my shop for consignment?"

He pulled Mr. Yu to the table and shoved him into a chair. "Old Yu, given our friendship over the years, we need to talk this over."

Mr. Yu shook his head. "My things have already been sold. What else can we talk about?"

Boss Wei personally poured a cup of tea for Mr. Yu. "Of course we can talk. How about we discuss our future cooperation?"

Mr. Yu looked completely bewildered. "How do we cooperate? What are we cooperating on?"

Boss Wei was surprisingly patient at this point. "Let's talk about that bracelet. You showed it to me because you're planning to consign it here, right?"

Mr. Yu spread his hands. "But I've already sold them. I don't have any left now."

Boss Wei wasn't annoyed. "You don't have it now, but maybe you will in the future. If it weren't for this lucky coincidence that someone bought it directly, you wouldn't be waiting here like this."
