Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 155 Rescuing the People of the 7th Base

Looking at Xiao Wen, who had entered the tent shortly after her, Yu Meng was filled with confusion.

"Um, there's been a slight accident involving the soldiers at the Seventh Base. Could you take a look?"

Yu Meng nodded, not refusing. "Where is he?"

Xiao Wen secretly breathed a sigh of relief and quickly called to the people outside, "Bring the person in!" His voice rose an octave. Old Chen, hearing the shout at the door, quickly had three people follow him to carry the person inside.

Looking up, I could only see two masked faces, one crying and one laughing; I couldn't see the real person at all.

Niannian looked curiously at the person curled up in a ball. She then looked back at Yu Meng, but remained silent.

Xiao Wen directed the people to be placed on the makeshift wooden bed. "Teacher Yu, this is Old Chen from the Seventh Base." Xiao Wen was very shrewd; seeing that Yu Meng hadn't removed her mask, he directly addressed her as Teacher Yu.

Yu Meng nodded. "Now that everyone is settled, you can leave."

Old Chen was a little worried. "Teacher Yu, his features are a bit like the old 'Heartworm'. If his body opens up, I'm afraid it might hurt you. Should we leave two people to help you hold him down?"

Yu Meng didn't speak, carefully examining the person curled up together. She couldn't understand how a man's body could be so flexible; his head was already pressed against his abdomen. His hands were hugging his calves, and they were even tightening around them.

Xiao Wen glanced at Lao Chen out of the corner of his eye. Didn't I tell you to keep quiet?

Old Chen pretended not to see it and turned his head slightly away.

This was the first time Yu Meng had ever seen anything like this. She carefully observed the people on the bed, but didn't notice the unspoken connection between Xiao Wen and Lao Chen.

Xiao Wen didn't hear Yu Meng speak, so he waved his hand, signaling everyone to leave. Old Chen pursed his lips but didn't say anything, just slowly moved towards the tent entrance.

"You two stay here, the stronger ones, and help me pull him off and lay him flat on the bed." Yu Meng's words were like heavenly music. Old Chen was the first to rush to the bedside, "I'll do it, I'm strong!"

Xiao Wen paused, then turned and returned to the bedside.

Yu Meng didn't care who it was. "When I tell you to pull, use all your strength and make sure you hold on tight. Don't let it pull back."

Old Chen and Xiao Wen each put their hands under their armpits, while the other person gripped the person's calves tightly with both hands.

The bracelet on Yu Meng's wrist transformed into lines that wrapped around the head of the person on the bed, completely enveloping it. Yu Meng's domineering line silently entered her mind, and something resembling a worm stretched out its body. In Yu Meng's perception, it seemed quite satisfied with its current environment. Yu Meng gently touched its tail with the line, and its tail gently lifted up before bending inwards.

"Now, pull it open!" Yu Meng's voice was loud, and the two of them subconsciously used a little force.

"Don't loosen your grip, hold on!" Yu Meng's voice was loud. Old Chen, who was holding onto the legs, felt that he was about to lose control, so he didn't care about anything else, put his whole body on the bed, and then sat down on his calves.

Xiao Wen was already pinned down, his body writhing violently in his arms. He was starting to lose his balance, so he called out towards the door, "Two of you come in, quick!"

Yan Lei and Captain Tian rushed in immediately, shouting, "Quickly hold down his arms and don't let him move!"

Xiao Wen felt his sweat getting into his eyes, and it tasted salty.

The alien body in my mind was half-curled up, trying to straighten up, but Yu Meng's lines had already pressed down on its tail, like rolling up a cool mat, trying hard to hold it down.

Yu Meng looked at the little gray line that Niannian was also a special existence. It could eat anything and was not picky about food. Moreover, it was very powerful. It could poke a small hole in even the hardest shell, and then it would crawl in and absorb the energy from the alien.

Niannian looked at Yu Meng, her little gray figure having inadvertently followed Yu Meng's lines into her mind. Yu Meng didn't blame her, nodding in agreement. The little gray figure in her mind seemed to receive a command, suddenly plunging into the alien's abdomen. After taking a couple of breaths, it withdrew, gestured, and then found another spot to make another small hole.

Yu Meng smiled. This was why she liked Nian Nian; nothing she did ever offended her. She could have done this herself, but Nian Nian did it for her, and so naturally.

Yu Meng, of course, would not refuse such a kind offer. Then a strange scene unfolded: Yu Meng's domineering lines pressed down on the alien, rolling it into a cylindrical shape, while simultaneously absorbing its energy.

The little gray line is very busy; it can't delay the king line roll, so every now and then it will pull itself out and make two more holes.

Thus, two rows of small holes appeared on the alien's abdomen, extending all the way to the other end of the alien.

It sounds easy, but it was torture for the people outside. Four adults used all their strength and could only barely hold the person down. Every now and then, the person on the bed would arch their back and shout something incoherently.

When the alien in her mind was completely rolled up, the person on the bed stopped struggling.

Little Gray Line secretly slipped back home with Yu Meng's line army. Niannian stood to the side, beaming with joy; she was so full and comfortable.

Yu Meng pulled out a round thing, which looked quite large.

The four men looked down at the person lying on the bed, a young man with thick eyebrows. His skin was fair, and his clothes were soaked with sweat. His breathing was weak, and there was no indication that he had exerted the strength of an ox during the struggle he had just endured.

"If any of you have a withered branch monster on you, give him two. He'll be fine after a few more days of rest."

Old Chen hurriedly ran out of the tent, and a moment later he came running back in with two boxes in his hands. "Here, teacher, is this it?"

Yu Meng didn't stand on ceremony and took the box directly. Opening it, she said, "Good, this is it. If you encounter any of these aliens in the future, try to collect as many as possible; they are very beneficial to the human body."

As he spoke, his fingers moved slightly, and visible specks of light fell into the body of the person lying on the bed.

This was the first time Old Chen had witnessed such a scene. "It can actually be absorbed by us?"

Yu Meng nodded, "If you peel off this strange, withered leaf-like skin, the remaining contents inside will be absorbed by the human body. However, if you don't peel off the skin, you still need to be careful not to be parasitized by it."

Xiao Wen pointed to the two small balls made of dried twigs and dough. "Teacher Yu, can we have those two things?"

Yu Meng didn't refuse and handed the things to Xiao Wen. "I'll stay here for a few days and isolate myself in a place specifically to retrieve the aliens."

Xiao Wen immediately understood Yu Meng's meaning. "I'll arrange it right away. I'll have someone deliver some daily necessities in a little while. Thank you for your hard work these past few days."
