Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 137 Nian Nian and Yu Meng are the same type of people

Yu Meng and Niannian sat on a thick, large tree. "Niannian, I know you're very smart, and your well-behaved behavior at home is all something you did on purpose."

Niannian leaned against the branch of a large tree. She did not refute Meng's words.

"I don't know what Fourth Sister wants to do, but I like the feeling of being with Fourth Sister right now. It makes my heart feel free. I don't have to try to please anyone, nor do I have to play the role of a good girl in front of anyone. I am who I am. I can laugh loudly as I please, and I can sit on a big tree like this right now. I can even kill half of the fish in the river and turn the river red, and you haven't said a bad word about me."

Yu Meng smiled, "We are all people who are born unwilling to be bound by others. It's just that because we all have people we care about, we become much more obedient."

Niannian smiled too. "So if you make any decisions, I'll definitely go with you. I like that feeling. For example, running. We can run for a whole day and night, and we might not even know where we are. But we're happy, joyful, and even excited. Fourth Sister, I never knew lines could be used like that."

"I came up with this idea after I was knocked unconscious and almost sold to human traffickers. As girls, we're naturally less physically strong. But if we can run fast, that's an advantage," Yu Meng said proudly. "You haven't experienced these things, so you couldn't possibly have thought of using lines for this."

Niannian nodded in agreement with Yu Meng's statement. "I grew up at my grandma's house. Except for my second uncle's younger brother, I was the youngest, and everyone indulged me, but I was just unhappy. Every time my dad and mom saw me, they would tell me to listen to my grandparents and to be good. But I don't like being good! So, I created a lot of conflicts, and then I acted unreasonably. In the end, when Sister Xiu met me, the way you saw me was actually half intentional. But Sister Xiu, she's really nice; she can see what I'm thinking. Sometimes she'll cover for me, and I feel like we'd get along really well if we did bad things together."

Yu Meng turned to look at her. "Were you disappointed after trying it?"

Niannian nodded. "She's been raised so well by your family."

Yu Meng laughed loudly, "Nobody expected that we were the most compatible."

"Fourth Sister, can you tell me now what you're going to do?"

Yu Meng shook her head. "It's not that I don't want to tell you, but I don't know what to do right now. I have a feeling that I need to be very, very strong to take the lead in what's to come."

"Then let's continue training." Nian Nian kicked off the tree trunk with her little leg, and her small body floated down to the ground.

Yu Meng followed closely behind, and the two began chasing each other through the woods. If you looked closely, you would see that their heels were not touching the ground; the soles of their feet were their own natural lines, and they were practicing the resilience of their lines in this way.

Yu Meng admired Nian Nian greatly. She had an unfair advantage, while Nian Nian was a native of this world. Nian Nian's talent even surpassed Yu Meng's own.

These two audacious young women once dared to provoke a mountain crocodile. They used their lines to wear the crocodile down to its death.

Through various reckless actions, the two of them developed an increasingly seamless teamwork. With just a glance, the other could completely understand and cooperate perfectly.

But as soon as they returned to the Yu family home, one of them became a well-behaved girl, while the other became a quiet child.

That evening, in the old house in the countryside, Yu Meng looked at the more than 20 disheveled people in front of her. "What happened to you all? How did you get yourselves into such a mess?"

Niannian tilted her head and watched the group of people. Judging from their aura, they were very strong.

Xiao Wen slumped wearily to the ground. "The alien battlefield is in complete chaos. We were only able to get out this time by sheer luck." He then looked at Yu Meng somewhat embarrassedly. "Do you have any food here? We haven't eaten for three days."

Niannian went inside and brought out a large basin of live fish. "That's all we have, but we don't know how to cook them. If you hadn't come here, my fourth sister and I would have gone back to town long ago."

Xiao Wen's eyes lit up. "We can do it," he said, then pointed to two people and told them to cook.

Yu Meng called the people over. "Sit down, let me see if you have any aliens."

After a thorough inspection, nothing was found.

Yu Meng looked at them. "You came from the base. Has a bone-drawing master already examined you?"

Xiao Wen's smile vanished. "We returned to Jingchuan Base, deposited the spoils into the warehouse, and then went to find Fu Ke, only to be told that he had been sealed into the Alien Battlefield."

"What happened? What kind of alien parasite has he been infected with? How did he end up in the alien battlefield?" Yu Meng asked in confusion.

Xiao Wen shook his head. "Everyone at the base was required to sign a confidentiality agreement, so we don't know exactly what happened."

"Where's Secretary Wu? Didn't you go to see him?" Yu Meng asked.

"Thank goodness we met him. Otherwise, we wouldn't know who to ask to remove the aliens from us."

Yu Meng nodded. "This bone artist is very skilled. I didn't find any aliens on you."

Liu Wei couldn't help but say from the side, "But her fees are high. We gave her all our resources before she removed the alien for us."

Xiao Wen smiled wryly, "I originally disagreed, but Secretary Wu told me privately that if I didn't agree, the base would use our parasitic aliens as an excuse to send us back to the alien battlefield."

Secretary Wu insisted that we clear out the aliens and then come find you. He asked me to pass on a message to you: everything has changed. If possible, he said Nangong Tianshou needs you to save his life.

Yu Meng frowned slightly. "Where is Nangong Tianshou? What happened to him?"

Xiao Wen shook his head. "Secretary Wu didn't say. He signed a confidentiality agreement, so all of this is within the scope of confidentiality."

"Then how come you went hungry for three days? After the aliens were eliminated, you should be able to appear anywhere normally, right?"

Xiao Wen blushed. "We have no money. The base has confiscated all our valuables under various pretexts, and we haven't even managed to bring out a single alien."

The delicious aroma of fish soup wafted over, and their stomachs rumbled. Yu Meng and Niannian were amused and said, "There are bowls inside, go and eat."

Although they were a little embarrassed, they were really hungry, so they shamelessly pretended not to see the two girls' laughter and loudly invited them into the house together.

Liu Wei walked to the end and placed a small bag in front of Yu Meng. "This is what I hid before I entered the base. It's a dead branch alien."

After saying that, he went inside and joined the scramble for the fish soup.

Yu Meng understood Liu Wei's behavior; a lone wolf always leaves himself a way out.

Sigh, it's all her fault. If she had known it would turn out like this, she would have saved more people back then, so she could at least have formed a small team.

Looking at the sky, Yu Meng found Xiao Wen and said, "You guys can stay here. Niannian and I have to go back to town. If we stay any longer, my mom will worry. I'll come back tomorrow, and we can talk in detail then."
