Why did you provoke me?

Chapter 100 Yu Meng has one taboo.

Seeing that the little flower had completely disappeared, Yu Meng smiled wickedly and said, "You can't hide anymore. I'm taking this territory."

Yu Meng didn't try to grasp the original line in her mind. Instead, she continued to expand her domain. The dense lines slowly encroached on the limited space, and a surprising scene unfolded: the line with the small flower changed again. It became thicker and shorter, and it shrank in size.

Yu Meng won this round of psychological warfare completely. But this time, Yu Meng did not continue. She stopped expanding, and all her fine lines just hovered there, neither attacking nor retreating.

Even the sentient line stopped changing. Yu Meng smiled; it seemed it still had a trump card up its sleeve.

Grandma Hua, standing to the side, had sweaty palms, but she dared not disturb Yu Meng. She knew this was the most dangerous moment; if she wasn't careful, Yu Meng and the person in the fish tank would both be in trouble.

Yu Meng opened her eyes, turned around, and asked, "Grandma, if we take this thing out, do you have anywhere to dispose of it?"

Grandma Hua paused for a moment, "Under what condition was it taken out?"

Yu Meng shook her head, "I don't know yet. Right now the lines are getting thicker and shorter. If this continues, maybe it will turn into a ball, or something else. I'm not sure."

"If it becomes a sphere, what about the flower on the lines?"

Yu Meng said with a smile, "That flower has disappeared into the lines."

Grandma Flower got excited. "You mean the flower disappeared, and only that line remained?"

Yu Meng looked at her intently. "It didn't disappear, but rather it went into the lines. It's as if the lines opened a door for it, and then it went in, and the door closed tightly again, leaving no trace on the outside."

Grandma Hua suppressed her joy and asked, "Yu Meng, is your current state having any negative effects on you?"

Yu Meng hesitated for a moment, "It's okay, just a little tired. If I faint, just let me wake up on my own, you don't need to do anything."

Granny Hua activated the communication bell in her hand, "Have Teacher Qing bring people over here, be on high alert, level one. Prepare the means to contain the alien."

Yu Meng looked at her without speaking, and Granny Hua, after giving her order, turned to look at Yu Meng without saying a word. It was as if, at that moment, they were perfectly in sync.

"Yu Meng, may I ask when you reached the level of a Level 3 Bone Painter?"

Yu Meng's eyes lit up. "A bone-drawing master? What are the standards?"

Grandma Hua laughed, "You little rascal, the most basic standard for a bone painter is that your lines can fork. The more forks and the finer the lines, the higher your level."

"If that's the standard my mother-in-law is referring to, then I've already met it." Yu Meng nodded. "I don't remember the exact time, but it seems like it's been more than a month."

Granny Hua looked at her with eyes that seemed to regard her as a monster. "You've only had a little over a month to get to this point?"

Yu Meng nodded. "Grandma Hua, since you've noticed me, you must have investigated me. You should know that everything I know is something I've figured out on my own; I have no lineage to inherit."

Yu Meng brushed a stray hair behind her ear. "You have no idea, when one of my hairs suddenly split into four pieces, it scared me half to death."

"So what did you do?" Granny Hua asked curiously.

"If we're talking about the old ways, someone like me would be considered a rogue cultivator. No master, no lineage, no materials to refer to, so I have no choice but to go down this path to the bitter end. Anyway, this line has already been broken into four pieces, so I don't care. Let it break into four more pieces," Yu Meng said with a silly grin.

Granny Hua looked at her enviously, "You're very lucky. You know, some people spend their whole lives and still don't reach this level. They try every possible way to break their lines in two, but unfortunately, they all fail."

Yu Meng nodded, "I've always been very lucky."

"Grandma, may I ask what level you are at now?" Yu Meng asked, also somewhat curious.

"Perhaps I can be a little better than you. But not by much," Granny Hua said with some emotion. She was already quite old, and she'd only reached this level. How old was Yu Meng? Just a teenager. He had a bright future ahead of him!

Suddenly, a distinctive alarm sounded outside.

"What's wrong, Grandma?" Yu Meng hurriedly looked up outside.

Grandma Flower quickly waved her hand, "It's alright, it's alright. I forgot to tell you that. Every time we retrieve an alien, we have to be fully prepared, just in case any negligence causes incalculable damage. This time I was too hasty. Did I scare you by not explaining things clearly?"

"I was startled." Yu Meng did not deny that her heart was pounding when the special ringtone sounded.

"Big sister," a woman in her forties approached, dressed in a white lab coat. Her eyes were sharp. "Is this the expert you invited? And the successor to your position?"

Yu Meng tilted her head to look at her, and also saw the two fully armed soldiers behind her.

Grandma Hua introduced with a smile, "This is Qingyuan, a senior bone painter here. The two behind him are also among the strongest warriors here."

Then he introduced Yu Meng to Qingyuan. "Don't let her young age fool you, she's already a true master of bone drawing. And she's already forced that alien into her lines."

Qingyuan's eyes lit up. "Big sister, your taste is as good as ever."

Yu Meng looked at the two soldiers behind her. "What are they here for?"

Granny Hua's face was filled with bitterness. "When we try to remove the Xenomorph, we don't always succeed. We have to prepare the next host for the Xenomorph."

Yu Meng covered her mouth and pointed at them, "They...could they be the prepared parasites?"

One of the soldiers spoke up. "We are the prepared hosts, and it's all voluntary. Besides, even if you fail to take the Xenomorph, we won't hold it against you."

Yu Meng frowned. "I hope someone can bless me when I'm doing things, instead of someone like you who holds me back."

Turning to Grandma Hua, he said, "Grandma, why don't we change him? I have some reservations."

Granny Hua paused for a moment, then waved her hand. "Then let's choose another one."

The soldier who had spoken was dumbfounded. He had only explained things to Yu Meng, so why was he being replaced?

A moment later, another person entered. He bowed to Granny Hua and Qingyuan, then stood next to another soldier.

Grandma Hua and Qingyuan nodded solemnly to Meng, "We are ready."

Yu Meng stopped talking and walked to the fish tank. This time she didn't close her eyes; she wanted to succeed on the first try to intimidate the others.

As Yu Meng had predicted, the lines in her mind had transformed into an oval shape. Yu Meng's lines decisively attacked, tightly binding the oval shape, and then suddenly pulled it out of the warrior's mind.

The person in the fish tank moved slightly and then fell silent. However, their breathing was even, as if they were asleep.

Qingyuan hurriedly went over to examine him. "He's just a little weak, nothing serious."
