Chapter 538 Nar's Challenge
Under Peter's control, the silver storm swept across the entire American continent in less than three minutes, wiping out all the zombies in the Americas.
Having accomplished all this, Peter followed the same method, using the power of the storm to appear across seven continents. Wherever he went, no zombie could survive the onslaught of this power.
About ten minutes later, the silver storm gradually subsided.
Peter closed his eyes and used the power of Tiamt, his divine sense covering the entire Earth to search for it.
He was quite satisfied with the results.
Now, on Earth in Universe 2149, only one zombie remains that can continue to live—the Hulk, who is making a final stand against Gwen and others in New Wakanda!
The Zombie Hulk is ultimately a different kind of being!
His own source of power was already quite remarkable, and now with the added blessing of the Star Devourer's stellar power, his physical strength has almost reached the point of immortality.
Even though Gwen and the others possess various extraordinary artifacts, they can only suppress Hoke completely, not destroy his brain tissue!
"Looks like I'll have to take matters into my own hands."
After muttering this to himself, Peter didn't bother to waste any more time and used the power of the Eye of Aurora to teleport to New Wakanda.
When Peter returned to New Wakanda, Hulk was already at his last gasp.
However, some instinct within him was still at work, causing him to concentrate all of Hulk's power into Hulk's head.
It seems that this is an attempt to preserve the last embers of the zombie virus.
Gwen and the others had exhausted all their methods, but even their combined efforts couldn't break through Hulk's skull to deliver the final, fatal blow.
"Peter, you're finally back! This guy's head is too hard; even nanobots couldn't penetrate it to cause internal damage. Looks like you'll have to handle it yourself!"
Faced with the expectant gazes of the crowd, Peter nodded slightly.
He slowly landed on the open ground in front of the zombie Hulk, deactivated his Infinite Hurricane Dragon form, and then took out the upgraded Black Gold Black Death Sword.
The Black Death Sword can now cut through space as easily as chopping vegetables, so cutting off the Hulk's green head is naturally no problem.
Peter didn't bother using any special energy; he simply swung his sword casually at the head.
That sword strike was simple and unadorned, lacking both terrifying power fluctuations and dazzling golden effects.
But in the instant the sword was swung, it cleanly and neatly split Hulk's head and his massive body in two!
The brain tissue inside was instantly shattered by the terrifying force.
His massive body, split in two, crashed to the ground, kicking up a thick cloud of dust.
The last glint of ferocity in his eyes vanished completely, leaving only a hollow gray-white space.
The last zombie in Universe 2149 has come to an end!
The battlefield fell completely silent.
On the walls of New Wakanda, the survivors, seeing the Hulk completely lifeless, couldn't help but let out a low cheer, a cheer that conveyed a strong sense of relief at surviving a catastrophe.
Only one guy in the crowd was looking sullen.
This man's name was Malcolm Cortez, and he and his father had long coveted the Black Panther's throne.
In the original comic book storyline, he preferred to devise a plan to transport the zombie heroes to Universe Z and reign supreme in the wasteland himself, rather than take the survivors on a time machine to a new world to multiply and thrive.
But now, with Peter and others taking the lead in forcefully suppressing the zombie crisis, his carefully laid plans have naturally fallen through.
He could never become the king of the survivors in his lifetime, and could only die with this resentment.
Just as everyone was celebrating that the zombie crisis was completely over and they had finally survived.
Peter frowned slightly as he noticed a wisp of black mist emanating from Hulk's shattered skull.
The black mist rapidly condensed and shaped in the air, eventually solidifying into a blurry, pitch-black figure.
"I never expected that my plan would fall apart at this crucial moment."
The sound was like an echo from the deepest part of the ocean, carrying a hollow, metallic scraping sensation.
Peter looked up at the dark figure and subconsciously raised an eyebrow:
"Nar?"
"That's right, it is I!" The dark figure stared intently at Peter and the Black Death Sword in his hand:
"You actually used my weapon to ruin my plans? You, very well! I'll remember your scent."
As he spoke, his figure began to rise slowly, spreading and fading outwards like ink dripping into water.
But before it completely dissipated, his voice reached Peter and the others' ears one last time:
"You cannot stop me from breaking free of my cage. Wait quietly in despair... It won't be long before I regain my freedom. When that time comes, I will come for you, in your universe, on your earth, and make you and everything you cherish my paradise!"
"Another one from Dunhuang!"
Peter uttered this sarcastic remark, then raised the Black Death Sword and, without hesitation, slashed down, completely annihilating the black aura.
"So many murals!"
The black aura completely dissipated.
The gray-green embers in the sky slowly faded, revealing the long-absent sun hidden among the thick clouds.
Gwen and the others stared in the direction where the black mist had disappeared, still somewhat uneasy.
"Peter, are you sure it's okay? That guy said he'd invade our universe."
"What's meant to be will be," Peter shrugged helplessly, then said:
"So what if he wants to invade? He's just a bunch of symbiotes. We have those things on us too, don't we? Besides, the ones he controls are outdated versions with obvious weaknesses!"
"As long as we transfer our people to Hela's underworld or Asgard beforehand, it won't take much effort to fight them on Earth."
Peter said this in a very relaxed tone, not to comfort everyone, but because he genuinely didn't take Nar seriously.
At his current level, Nar's physical body is nothing more than a large experience pack to him.
A physical Nar isn't really that significant.
In the comic book event, after this guy absorbed the Void from the Sentinel and greatly enhanced his own power, he was still killed by Eddie Brock who combined cosmic energy to bring him to the surface of the sun.
With an existence of this caliber, Peter could easily be burned to the point of calling him "Dad" by just a few types of energy he could pull out.
What's truly difficult to deal with is Gnar's fundamental power.
As a dark incarnation that was born in the primordial void before the birth of the second universe.
This thing is essentially an immortal being.
Even Peter would have a hard time doing what he did to Dormammu and Mephisto, completely obliterating Nal and preventing him from being reborn in the Primal Nether!
However, at worst, we can just deal with whatever comes our way.
If we destroy this guy's physical body this time, who knows when he will be able to condense a body again and attack Earth again, hundreds of years from now?
