About five minutes later, Felicia chopped off the head of the zombie ant-man with a single claw.

The zombie crisis in New York has been officially over.

"It's finally over! To have to fight my own zombie form for no reason, this is just crazy!" Harry couldn't help but complain, panting heavily.

"You should be grateful that our world has Peter, Gwen, and the great Dr. Strange!" Legendary Stanton said smugly.

"If we hadn't treated your wounds immediately, you'd probably be a meat-eating lunatic like these guys on the ground by now!"

Everyone was used to the banter between the two.

No one joined in their bickering; all eyes turned to Peter, with Gwen asking the first question:

"Peter, what exactly is going on?"

"I'm not entirely clear on the specifics yet, but I can roughly conclude that it was because my previous encounter with Arithm caused a spacetime tremor, which gave these zombies the opportunity to come to our universe."

Peter frowned slightly as he thought about this, vaguely sensing that something seemed amiss.

Although he hadn't read the zombie universe comics in detail in his previous life, he still remembered some iconic plot points:

For example, in the original zombie universe, the zombie superheroes devoured the Silver Surfer and Galactus, thereby gaining terrifying cosmic-level energy.

Peter remembered that Captain America, Tony Stark, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, and others in that story were the main force in devouring Galactus.

But right now, the zombie Captain America and zombie Ant-Man I've seen are practically useless in terms of combat power; they don't seem to be able to use any cosmic energy at all.

In this scene, the streets of New York have become noticeably dilapidated and desolate, indicating that the zombie crisis has been raging for some time.

In the memory, the zombie Tony is feasting on Happy's corpse.

As a highly intelligent individual, Tony is much smarter than other zombies, even after becoming one.

To prevent himself from going hungry in the future, shortly after turning into a zombie, he cut off all the entrances and exits of Stark Tower.

He killed all the survivors and sealed them in a cold storage.

This meant that while other zombies outside had no food to eat, zombie Tony still had plenty of supplies.

On that very day, the quantum teleportation device he had stored in the basement of Stark Tower activated on its own.

That was the quantum realm time travel machine they built to fight Thanos who snapped his fingers (see Avengers: Endgame).

The machine started up on its own, and four figures of different shapes appeared in the blue light. They were wearing blue bodysuits and their bodies were severely decomposed—the Fantastic Four!

They arrived in this universe full of joy, ready to feast to their hearts' content, only to be shocked to discover that a zombie crisis had already begun.

This led them to believe that they had not successfully traveled through a parallel universe, but had instead traveled back to the past.

Enraged, they beat up the zombie Tony who was hoarding his loot, then stormed out of Stark Tower, managed to eat a hearty meal, and regained their senses before carrying out a second round of modifications to the machine.

In order to ensure that the machine could truly achieve time travel, rather than simply time travel, a group of zombies were captured and used as test subjects.

It seems that the horde of zombies they just faced was delivered by the Fantastic Four...

For some reason, the Fantastic Four didn't follow closely behind.

Furthermore, my universe hasn't researched inter-universe teleportation devices, so why can these zombies appear here directly?

Logically speaking, even if they successfully completed the time travel, they should have traveled to a universe that also has inter-universe teleportation devices, instead of just falling from the sky like that!

"Peter, did you find anything?" Gwen couldn't help but ask curiously when she saw Peter open his eyes.

Peter nodded, then shook his head:

"There have been some gains. What is certain is that at least one universe has encountered a zombie crisis."

However, for a more specific situation, we might need to conduct a more detailed memory collection over there!

"So you mean that the zombie heroes we're dealing with were transformed from zombie heroes from another world!"

"Now, are you planning to go to their universe to see what the origin of these zombies is?" Tony pressed.

"That's right, exactly." Peter agreed with Tony's ability to summarize.

"Even if we can't determine the origin of the zombies, we have to destroy that damn machine. Otherwise, won't we be constantly on guard against potential zombie outbreaks?"

"Sounds interesting, count me in!" Tony thumped his steel chest, his face full of eagerness.

No man can resist the urge to go on a killing spree in the apocalypse, although if we actually traveled there, Peter would most likely be in charge of the killing, and the rest of us would just be there to watch...

"I'll go too!" Harry and Steve Rogers, those two goofballs, eagerly raised their hands.

"My healing abilities can help, count me in!" Gwen chimed in.

Then came Felicia, Natasha, Daisy, and others.

Seeing that more and more people were signing up, Peter rubbed his temples in exasperation and finally had to select people himself.

Tony, Steve, Carter, Harry, Gwen, Felicia, Daisy, Natasha, Wanda, and Ishtar, who just finished absorbing the Celestial Fragment and could act as a spaceship to take everyone away at a crucial moment.

The zombie space exploration team, consisting of 11 people including Peter himself, was officially formed.

"The rest of you can stay here on Earth and watch over things. Don't worry, my symbiote is now connected to all of you, and I'll bring people back to support you immediately if any problems arise!"

After leaving those words, Peter took out the Black Death Sword and cleaved through the void, beginning his journey through the zombie universe with Gwen and the others.
