Zhang Parker's sweeping statement silenced all the Spider-Men present except for Peter and Gwen.

It is extremely harmful and highly insulting.

Some people instinctively wanted to speak up in rebuttal, but after opening their mouths, they found that they couldn't utter a single word.

After all, not long ago, they were still basking in the glory of joining the Spider Alliance, even feeling that they were doing something great to save the world.

But the result?

The result was that they eventually discovered they were complete idiots who had been used as pawns the whole time!

Furthermore, look at the boss who treats Thor like a dog and abuses him, and then look at themselves...

If the predators that Zhang Parker mentioned, who feed on Spider-Man, really exist, then calling them cannon fodder doesn't seem so wrong...

For a moment, the atmosphere in the entire office became somewhat oppressive and awkward.

Just as the little spiders were all as deflated as wilted eggplants, unable to refute any further, Peter finally spoke up for them:

"Alright, stop with the psychological manipulation stuff."

"Having a group of obedient helpers is much better than fighting alone."

Hearing that their leader didn't look down on them, the little spiders perked up and started baring their teeth at Zhang Parker again.

Zhang Parker utterly despised these idiots.

But just as he was about to say something more, Peter interrupted him:

"Enough with the small talk, let's get straight to the point. What exactly did you go through, and why did you treat Miguel that way...? This will directly determine where I place you."

Zhang Parker glanced at Peter, looking somewhat displeased, but he also knew that circumstances were beyond his control.

So he took a deep breath and said:

"It all started with an accident during an experiment a year ago."

"Back then, in order to surpass Peter Parr... cough cough, surpass the stupid original owner of this body, and completely solve the crime problem in New York City, I designed a satellite detection system."

In theory, it can detect impending crimes instantly and, combined with nanobots deployed throughout the city, nip them in the bud before they occur.

He paused here, a self-deprecating smile playing on his lips.

"However, at the moment the experiment was started, the high-dimensional energy field that erupted merged with some kind of energy that I have not yet been able to figure out and tore apart spacetime."

"When I opened my eyes again, I had traveled to 2099."

A spider-horse couldn't help but chime in:

"2099? Isn't that Miguel's era?"

"No, in fact, the Miguel you know is a variant of another parallel universe, just like countless Peters."

At this point, a cold glint flashed in Zhang Parker's eyes:

"Through talking with Miguel's brother, I discovered that Miguel from 2099 had mysteriously disappeared before I traveled here, in other words..."

"Because this universe is missing Spider-Man, I was forced to become his replacement!"

Having heard this, Peter finally understood how the feud between the two had started.

If he were to inexplicably separate from Gwen and Felicia, only to find out it was all to clean up the mess left by another Peter, he would probably beat him up to vent his anger after seeing him again.

Noticing the look of understanding on Peter's face, Zhang Parker, regardless of whether the other little spiders understood or not, continued on his own:

"In order to return to my own universe, I used the technology of 2099 to build a time travel device, but what happened next gave me the creeps."

His voice unconsciously lowered a few decibels, and his eyes revealed a deep-seated fear.

"Every time I travel through time, I manage to land with incredible precision next to the corpse of another Spider-Man."

"One different universe after another: Spider-Man becomes the Fantastic Five's universe, Spider-Man becomes the villain's universe, Iron Man becomes the supervillain, and Spider-Man is the Resistance's universe..."

"Those Spider-Men, regardless of identity, strength, or technological level..."

"They're all dead!"

"Moreover, his death was extremely gruesome, as if something had drained his life force."

As Zhang Parker recounted the story, the group of little spiders on the scene subconsciously rubbed their arms, only to find that their arms were covered in goosebumps.

Peter, on the other hand, looked thoughtful.

This opening seems somewhat familiar.

It seems to be part of that Spider-Verse setting, right?

It seems that a different kind of vampire family killed these people?

As he was thinking this, Zhang Parker continued:

"It was at that moment that I realized I wasn't traveling randomly, but was being drawn by some mysterious force that was guiding me to see these things and allowing me to anticipate the danger."

"What is feeding on us Spider-Men?!"

"It's hunting us!"

After observing the panicked expressions of the spiderlings, Zhang Parker turned to Peter and continued explaining:

"In order to verify my hypothesis and to protect myself, I realized I needed to figure out two things."

"The first thing is how to deal with them, and the second thing is how to escape if I can't deal with them."

Upon hearing this, the little spiders couldn't help but complain:

"Spider-Man never runs away!"

"That's right, with great power comes great responsibility!"

Listening to the little spiders' grumbling, Zhang Parker couldn't help but break out in a frown.

"That's why I'm different from you fools! If you want to die, to become their food, then so be it!"

"Go on," Peter interrupted Zhang Parker somewhat rudely.

"Miguel was your test subject for escaping, wasn't he?"

"That's right!" Zhang Parker said after giving Peter an appreciative look.

You should have already guessed my plan.

"To find out if I can't deal with those guys, I can go live in another universe."

"So, I traveled to the year 2099 in another universe and found another living Miguel O'Hara."

"I sent him to a universe where Miguel had already been killed by those hunters, and to observe what happened in that universe afterward."

"As you all know, that universe collapsed."

"I think you should all realize what this means by now!"

Upon hearing this, the Spider-Men instinctively fell silent. After a long while, Punk Spider-Man finally spoke in his signature reggae voice:

"This is a war in which no one can escape, and there is no turning back!"

"Excellent!" Zhang Parker snapped his fingers, giving an affirmative answer:

"This is indeed a war with no way out. We must strike first, or we will either be devoured or live a wretched existence until we watch universe after universe collapse!"
