Early morning of November 5th.

The results of the US presidential election are now fully revealed.

Grant Park, Chicago.

The new black president stood on the victory podium, waving his arms to the frenzied crowd.

Old Mike was trembling with excitement in his hotel suite in Chicago.

His hands, drenched in sweat, gripped his phone as he quickly dialed Yu Le's number.

"Mr. Yu, we won! He was elected!" Old Mike's voice was full of excitement.

The capital city, a magnificent and prosperous place.

Yu Le looked at the gradually brightening dawn outside the window, her tone calm and unwavering.

"The show's about to begin. Let's go and take back what's rightfully ours."

........

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Smoke filled Richard's luxurious private villa.

The election victory speech is being broadcast on television.

William stubbed out his cigar in frustration and swore.

"This is a crazy world, this kid actually got into the White House."

Michael picked up his wine glass and took a sip of the deep red wine.

"So what if we get into the White House? It won't affect us anyway."

Richard picked up a document from the coffee table and casually tossed it in front of the two men.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the final screening schedule for Inception is out. It's 4.5%. And all of them are midnight screenings and early morning showings."

The three of them smiled knowingly.

"That Salty Fish Entertainment wants to steal our cake and eat it? They're dreaming." Richard leaned back on the sofa, his face full of arrogance.

Just then, the villa's door was violently pushed open.

Richard's personal assistant scrambled in, his face contorted with panic.

"Boss! Something terrible has happened!" the assistant gasped for breath.

Richard frowned and glared at him with great displeasure.

"What's the panic! The sky isn't going to fall."

"The regulatory authorities have entered the company! They've presented a search warrant! They're demanding the seizure of all internal emails and communications records in our distribution department!" the assistant quickly reported.

The three Hollywood moguls on the sofa were suddenly stunned.

Richard stood up and angrily berated his assistant.

"The regulatory bureau? Are they crazy! Who gave them the guts!"

"It's a joint enforcement team from the Federal Department of Justice's Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission!" The assistant swallowed hard.

"The official leading the team said we were suspected of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act. They accused us of conspiring to monopolize North American theater chains and using illegal means to suppress competitors!"

Michael's wine glass fell onto the carpet.

The deep red wine seeped into the white downy fur in large swaths.

"This is impossible! How dare they bypass the proper procedures and seize the company!" Michael exclaimed.

William's face turned ashen, and he immediately pulled out his phone.

"I'm going to call Senator Harrison. He takes millions of dollars in political donations from Paramount every year!"

William dialed the number quickly.

The phone rang for a long time before it was finally answered.

"Harrison! What the hell are you Washington doing?! Why are the antitrust officials storming into our company?!" William roared into his phone.

The tone on the other end of the phone was cold.

"William, you better pray you haven't left any fatal evidence. The new team has just taken office, and his first act is to target Hollywood."

"What do you mean!" William shouted.

"That super PAC called 'Hollywood Free Competition' is one of the biggest donors in the final stages of the election," Harrison said coldly on the phone.

"They specifically called for a cleanup of Hollywood's exclusive practices. The new president has publicly pledged to break down industry barriers. You three just happened to walk right into their trap."

"No one can protect you now. Don't attack again!"

The call was abruptly ended.

Before they could recover from their shock, Richard's phone started vibrating incessantly.

The caller ID showed Smith, the general manager of the North American Theatre Alliance.

Richard immediately pressed the answer button and turned on speakerphone.

"Smith, why are you calling at this hour!"

Smith's tone was full of anger and impatience.

"Richard! I don't care what your grudge is with that Salty Entertainment, immediately end your blacklisting operation!"

"The theater headquarters received a subpoena from the Department of Justice ten minutes ago. They're demanding an assessment report on all Christmas film release schedules!"

"The higher-ups have issued a clear warning: if any non-market factors interfere with film scheduling, we will face hefty fines and may even be forced to split up and reorganize!"

Richard gritted his teeth and retorted.

"What do you mean? Are you planning to break your promise?"

Smith chuckled coldly on the other end of the phone.

"Betrayal? Our priority is to avoid bankruptcy! If you three want to die, don't drag us down with you!"

"From this moment forward, all exclusivity agreements are null and void. Inception received extremely high ratings from internal screenings. Our alliance will allocate screenings to them at the highest level."

"Richard, you've messed with the wrong person."

The phone call was abruptly ended.

The three men, who once held sway over Hollywood, now looked ashen-faced.

.........

Century City.

Saltyfish Entertainment North American Branch.

The entire office area erupted in cheers.

The employees jumped up and hugged each other, and some even opened champagne right next to their workstations to celebrate.

Old Mike sat in his private office, looking at the latest emails on his computer screen.

A joint letter of intent from the three major North American theater chains to reschedule the film.

Inception achieved a 35% screening rate on its opening day.

It covers prime-time slots and top-tier IMAX theaters in hundreds of major cities across the United States.

Old Mike took out his phone and quickly dialed Yu Le's number.

Communication is established.

"Boss."

"The theaters have completely given in. The screening rate has been increased to 35%."

Top floor office of Salted Fish Entertainment headquarters in Beijing.

Yu Le leaned back in the large boss's chair, his gaze fixed on the bustling street scene outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.

"Well done," he replied casually.

"Prepare the promotional materials. Over the next few days, shower all the major North American TV networks and billboards with cash."
