Lu Wushuang groped her way along the desolate path behind Zhongnan Mountain.

She was surrounded by waist-high weeds and sprawling thorns. She used the back of her knife to push aside the vines blocking her path, listening intently to her surroundings, fully alert.

After walking across a rocky area, a series of rapid, labored breaths came from ahead. The sound was extremely heavy, mixed with the noise of tree branches breaking.

Lu Wushuang paused, quickly crouching down and hiding behind a large blue stone. She gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, her palms sweating, and wondered to herself, "Could it be that Li Mochou, severely injured, has collapsed in front of me?"

She peeked out with half her head out.

A gray figure staggered out of the bushes. The man's Taoist robe was tattered and stained with mud and dark red blood. His hair was disheveled, and he carried a long sword in his hand, walking with faltering steps.

Upon closer inspection, Lu Wushuang realized that it wasn't Li Mochou in red at all, but Yin Zhiping from the Quanzhen Sect.

A buzzing sound went through her mind as she recalled what the Quanzhen disciples had said half an hour earlier halfway up the mountain.

Yin Zhiping, who secretly colluded with the Mongols and plotted against his fellow disciples, is being hunted down by the entire Quanzhen Sect. How did such a traitorous scoundrel end up in the direction of this mass grave in the back mountains?

At this moment, Yin Zhiping also stopped. His major acupoints had just been released, and his internal injuries were severe. He had just heard Yang Guo and Huang Rong's shocking scandal on the cliff top, which greatly stimulated him. He had run all the way here and was only hanging on by a thread of internal energy.

He had excellent hearing and heard the breathing of a living person behind the large blue stone. He immediately gripped his longsword tightly, with the tip pointing diagonally at the ground.

"Who's hiding there? Come out!" Yin Zhiping shouted sharply, his voice hoarse but filled with murderous intent.

Lu Wushuang's heart pounded. She knew her own skills were so rudimentary that she couldn't even beat an ordinary third-generation disciple of the Quanzhen Sect, let alone this former top disciple. Even if he was injured, crushing her would be as easy as crushing an ant.

Her eyes lit up, and an idea struck her. If she pretended not to know anything and treated him as the revered Taoist Master Yin, she might be able to fool him.

Lu Wushuang hid the willow-leaf dagger behind her back, straightened up, and walked out from behind the large blue stone. She put on a face that looked three parts surprise and seven parts innocence, and even patted her chest.

"Oh dear, it's Master Yin. You scared me half to death." Lu Wushuang quickly took two steps forward, stopping about ten feet away. "Master Yin, what are you doing here all alone in this desolate wilderness? Are you perhaps practicing some profound swordsmanship in the back mountains?"

Yin Zhiping didn't reply. He stood there, his gaze sweeping over Lu Wushuang from head to toe.

Seeing that he remained silent, Lu Wushuang continued her performance.

"Master Yin, why are you covered in blood? Did you encounter some villains?" Lu Wushuang asked with concern, but subtly took a half-step back. "This Zhongnan Mountain isn't safe either. I originally wanted to go down the mountain, but I got lost and ended up here. Since Master Yin is injured, I won't bother you any longer. I'll find another way down the mountain."

After saying that, she turned to leave.

"Stop right there," Yin Zhiping said.

These two words were spoken extremely slowly, and when they reached Lu Wushuang's ears, they made her scalp tingle.

Lu Wushuang turned around, forcing a smile: "Is there anything else you need, Daoist Yin?"

Yin Zhiping looked at her, his dough twitching twice, revealing an extremely distorted expression. He had been driven to the brink by Yang Guo and suffered repeated setbacks; his mask of hypocrisy had long been torn to shreds, and he exuded a sense of madness.

"Miss Lu, your lie is too clumsy." Yin Zhiping took a step forward, the tip of his sword drawing a shallow groove in the ground. "If you were lost, why were you gripping the hilt of your sword so tightly? If you didn't know what happened at Chongyang Palace, why did you rush to escape without asking why I was covered in blood?"

Lu Wushuang swallowed hard and retorted, "As a weak woman, it's natural for me to carry a weapon for self-defense. Master Yin's martial arts are unparalleled; it's none of my business to inquire about the reasons..."

"A weak woman?" Yin Zhiping sneered, interrupting her abruptly. He raised his longsword, the blade pointing at Lu Wushuang's throat. "If you truly don't know, were you deaf to hear the 108 alarm bells at Chongyang Palace just now? Were you blind to see the Quanzhen disciples hunting me all over the mountains?"

He pressed closer, his tone full of mockery.

"You were shouting so loudly by the ring during the day, practically glued to me. But now that you see me in this miserable state, you didn't even say a word to help me, all you thought about was running away."

Yin Zhiping shook his head, his face full of mockery. "Miss Lu, you've been too clever for your own good, and you've only given yourself away. You clearly already know that I'm a traitor to the Quanzhen Sect and am being hunted down all over the mountain. You're afraid I'll kill you to silence you, so you're just pretending to be crazy here."

Lu Wushuang's face turned deathly pale when her thoughts were exposed. She realized that this hypocrite had completely gone mad, and reasoning with him wouldn't work.

run!

Lu Wushuang lightly touched the ground with her toes, using her lightness skill to dart into the dense forest on her right. Her movements were swift; using the trees as cover, she covered several meters in a few leaps.

"Trying to leave?" Yin Zhiping sneered.

Although his internal injuries flared up, his foundation was still intact. He unleashed the Complete Golden Goose Skill, his figure rising from the ground like a night owl pouncing on its prey, chasing straight after Lu Wushuang's back.

Hearing a menacing gust of wind behind him, Lu Wushuang turned and swung his blade. The willow-leaf scimitar transformed into a streak of silver light, slashing towards Yin Zhiping's face.

Yin Zhiping neither dodged nor evaded, but flicked his longsword. A crisp "clang" rang out. He used the "Parting Flowers and Willows" move from the Quanzhen Swordplay, the blade striking the back of the curved saber with precision.

Lu Wushuang felt a sharp pain in his tiger's mouth and half of his body went numb. He lost his grip on the willow-leaf dagger, which flew out of his hand and embedded itself in a tree trunk beside him.

Before she could react, Yin Zhiping had already lunged forward. His left hand formed a claw, grabbing her neck and lifting her up, slamming her heavily against the tree trunk.

Her back slammed against the rough bark, the pain making Lu Wu see stars. The hand around her neck felt like an iron clamp, choking her and making it hard to breathe. Her feet were dangling in the air, and she could only kick desperately.

"Miss Lu, this is what you call refusing a toast only to suffer the consequences." Yin Zhiping moved closer, his expression particularly ferocious.

"I didn't want to kill a woman. But I had no choice; my life is too precious to me right now."

Yin Zhiping's fingers tightened. "If you run down the mountain and tell that little beast Yang Guo where I am, I won't be able to leave Zhongnan Mountain. For the sake of Master Chongyang's century-old legacy, and to expose the true face of that demon Yang Guo, I must live. So, I can only ask you to go see the King of Hell."

These words were utterly absurd. He was clearly fleeing to save his own life, yet he insisted on portraying his heinous act of murder to cover it up as a righteous act for the Quanzhen Sect. This attempt to whitewash his despicable behavior as noble made Lu Wushuang feel nauseous.

But she didn't have time to feel nauseous. She was about to burst.

She felt the air in her lungs dwindling, and her vision began to darken. She clung tightly to Yin Zhiping's wrists with both hands, scratching bloody marks with her fingernails, but she couldn't budge him an inch.

Am I going to die here? I haven't even avenged my parents, and now I'm going to die at the hands of this hypocrite?

Lu Wushuang's mind raced as she searched for even the slightest chance of survival in this desperate situation.

She recalled how Yin Zhiping had been beaten like a dead dog by Yang Guo at the Tongtian Arena. Yang Guo had seized the position of sect leader and publicly exposed Yin Zhiping's true colors. Yin Zhiping had just been calling Yang Guo "that little beast," showing how much he hated him.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Even if he's just pretending to be an enemy.

Lu Wushuang mustered her last bit of strength and squeezed out a few broken words.

"I...I also hate...Yang Guo..."

Yin Zhiping's fingers paused for a moment. He looked at Lu Wushuang's face, which was turning purple from holding back his anger, and a hint of doubt flashed in his eyes.

"What did you say?" Yin Zhiping loosened his grip slightly, allowing Lu Wushuang to catch her breath.

Fresh air filled her lungs, and Lu Wushuang coughed violently. Forgetting all about appearances, she gasped for breath, her mind frantically weaving lies. She had to portray herself as a victim tormented by Yang Guo, a suffering woman whose life was worse than death; only by evoking Yin Zhiping's empathy could she survive.

"Cough cough... I said, I hate Yang Guo! I wish I could eat his flesh and drink his blood!" Lu Wushuang leaned against the tree trunk, tears and snot streaming down her face. Half of these tears were forced out, and the other half were deliberately acted out.

Yin Zhiping looked at her coldly, not believing her at all.

"Don't give me that crap. You cheered for him later, don't think I didn't hear you. If you hated him, why would you vote for him?"

Lu Wushuang gasped for breath as she shouted curses at the top of her lungs.

"That's because I was persecuted and threatened by him!" Lu Wushuang covered her face with her hands, feigning unbearable pain. "Master Yin, what kind of good person do you think Yang Guo is? He's a complete lecher! A beastly scoundrel!"

Upon hearing the word "lecher," Yin Zhiping's eyelids twitched. He had just overheard Yang Guo and Huang Rong's shady dealings from the cliff top. That little beast was indeed a lecherous fiend.

Seeing that Yin Zhiping did not act immediately, Lu Wushuang knew she had made the right bet. She decided to steel herself and throw all thoughts of a woman's innocence and reputation to the back of her mind, making up stories as tragic as possible and saying whatever was most disgusting to Yang Guo.

"That despicable thief! Relying on his superior martial arts skills, he... he humiliated me months ago!"

Lu Wushuang gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with resentment. "He deceived me with sweet words, saying he would marry me properly once he became the sect leader. I believed his lies. But what happened after he became the sect leader? He turned his back on me! He said I was a cripple and unworthy of his position as the leader of the Quanzhen Sect. He wanted to drive me off the mountain!"

Yin Zhiping stared into Lu Wushuang's eyes, trying to find a flaw in her lie. But the hatred in Lu Wushuang's eyes was too real. She truly hated Yang Guo, hated that Yang Guo had put his arm around her waist outside the Ancient Tomb, hated that Yang Guo had flirted with her. She amplified this real hatred and poured it all into this lie.

"Not only did he abandon me after seducing me, he also... he also..." Lu Wushuang said, raising her head and clutching her lower abdomen tightly with both hands, crying her heart out, "He even got me pregnant with his bastard child! He was afraid that this would ruin his reputation if word got out, so he actually sent people to capture me and force-feed me an abortion drug! I fought my way out and got lost, which is how I ended up in this back mountain!"

While crying, Lu Wushuang cursed Yang Guo with the most vicious words.

"That heartless bastard! He deserves to die a horrible death! May his whole family be wiped out! Even if I, Lu Wushuang, become a ghost, I will haunt him and bite his neck off! He deceived me with his body, he's not even human! He's a beast!"

She cursed so fluently that she almost believed it herself.

Yin Zhiping stood there, listening to Lu Wushuang's vile curses.

Logically, he should have felt pleased to hear his enemy being so viciously insulted. He did indeed feel a perverse sense of pleasure. Yang Guo, you little beast, you've finally met your match, being pointed at and called a lecherous scoundrel and a beast.

But this sense of pleasure lasted only a few breaths. Immediately afterwards, an uncontrollable surge of jealousy and resentment turned him into a ferocious monster.

Yin Zhiping looked at Lu Wushuang, who was crying her eyes out. Although the girl had a limp, she was pretty and charming, with a petite figure and a wild, feisty air about her.

His mind began to churn uncontrollably.

What kind of incredible luck did Yang Guo have?

Yin Zhiping had cultivated diligently for over a decade, yet he hadn't even touched a single finger of Xiaolongnu. Yang Guo, on the other hand, easily held that pure and beautiful fairy in his arms.

Not only Xiaolongnu, but also the ruthless Red Serpent Fairy Li Mochou had an ambiguous relationship with Yang Guo.

Just half an hour ago, he heard with his own ears that even the famous Madam Guo, Huang Rong, had been completely swayed by this little beast, and that he had been channeling his inner energy into her in the middle of the night in the stone cave, allowing her to tease him at will.

Now, even this beautiful little firecracker in front of him has been taken advantage of by him, and she's even pregnant with his child!

On what grounds?

Why should all the most beautiful women in the world be sent to Yang Guo's arms? In what way is Yin Zhiping inferior to that little rascal? In terms of seniority, appearance, and loyalty to the sect, in what way is he not better than Yang Guo?

How unfair is God!

Yin Zhiping's chest heaved violently, and his breathing became extremely heavy. The dark red evil energy that had been forcibly suppressed in his stomach, stimulated by this extreme jealousy, once again surged wildly through his meridians.

"He...he even touched you?" Yin Zhiping's voice was extremely hoarse, his eyes were bloodshot, and he stared intently at Lu Wushuang's lower abdomen.

Seeing his strange expression, Lu Wushuang shrank back in fright and nodded repeatedly, "He's a beast! Daoist Yin, if you can help me kill that lecherous thief, I, Lu Wushuang, will be your slave in my next life!"

Yin Zhiping didn't hear what she said after that. His mind was filled with images of Yang Guo with women on both sides, living a life of revelry every night. Those images were like steel knives, shattering his pitiful self-esteem into pieces.

He schemed and plotted, even betraying his sect and poisoning his master, only to end up fleeing for his life in the wilderness like a stray dog. Meanwhile, Yang Guo sat in the position of sect leader, enjoying the power and women he had always dreamed of.

"What a Yang Guo... what a Quanzhen Sect Leader..." Yin Zhiping muttered through gritted teeth, his face contorted in extreme anger.

He was so angry that he felt a sweet taste in his throat.

"puff!"

Yin Zhiping tilted his head back and spat out a mouthful of black blood. The blood splattered on the tree trunk, a horrifying sight.

He swayed twice, then knelt on one knee, using his longsword to support himself on the ground. His internal organs felt as if they were on fire, and the evil energy in his meridians was completely out of control.

Lu Wushuang was completely dumbfounded as she stared at Yin Zhiping, who was vomiting blood. She never imagined that her fabricated story would make this madman so angry that he vomited blood on the spot.

This hypocrite is so petty! He just insulted Yang Guo a few times, why is he getting so worked up?

Lu Wushuang clung to the tree trunk, barely daring to breathe. She looked at Yin Zhiping, who was kneeling on the ground panting heavily, and considered whether she should take the opportunity to escape. But the long sword was right in front of Yin Zhiping; if she made the slightest movement, the tip of the sword would likely pierce her heart.

Yin Zhiping gasped for breath, hastily wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth with his sleeve. He looked up, his bloodshot eyes fixed on Lu Wushuang, his killing intent not diminishing but intensifying.

"You're pregnant with his child..." Yin Zhiping's voice was so soft it was almost ethereal, yet it carried a chilling undertone. "He ruined everything for me, so I'll cut off his lineage."

Yin Zhiping slowly stood up, long sword in hand, and approached Lu Wushuang step by step. He didn't care whether Lu Wushuang was a victim or not; all he wanted now was to kill. He wanted to destroy everything related to Yang Guo.

Looking at the gleaming sword blade, Lu Wushuang knew she had made a fool of herself. This madman not only showed no sympathy, but instead vented all his hatred for Yang Guo on her.

"Master Yin! What are you doing! I'm a victim too!" Lu Wushuang shouted anxiously, grabbing at the tree trunk with both hands.

"Victim? Then go to the underworld and complain to King Yama!" Yin Zhiping raised his long sword and stabbed it fiercely into Lu Wushuang's abdomen without hesitation.
