Yuxu Cave.

It is one of the seventy-two blessed lands of Zhongnan Mountain, and also the place of seclusion for Wang Chuyi, the "Iron-Legged Immortal" elder of the Quanzhen School.

Outside the cave, green pines and cypresses stand amidst swirling clouds and mist, creating an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere.

The atmosphere inside the cave was heavy and oppressive, making it hard to breathe.

Wang Chuyi sat cross-legged on the stone bed, his eyes closed, his white beard rising and falling slightly with his breath. He wore a simple gray Taoist robe, but his swollen and disfigured face was more imposing than any fine clothes.

Zhao Zhijing stood in front of him, bowing deeply, not daring to even breathe loudly.

Lu Qingdu behind him looked even more miserable. He had just washed his face haphazardly in the mountain spring, and the bloodstains were gone. Zhao Zhijing took a breath and saw the gash on his lip, making him look even more shocking than before.

He knelt on the stone ground, his body trembling uncontrollably, whether from pain or fear, it was hard to tell.

"Speak, what is it?"

Wang Chuyi did not open his eyes, and his voice was flat.

Zhao Zhijing took a breath, and Wang Chuyi's eyes, which had been preparing for this moment, suddenly turned cold and piercing as he knelt down.

"Master! Your disciple has failed in teaching and has brought shame upon the Quanzhen Sect! Please punish me, Master!"

His kneeling startled Lu Qingdu, who was standing next to him.

Wang Chuyi finally opened his eyes.

He looked at Zhao Zhijing kneeling before him, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Zhijing, you are the most outstanding disciple of the third generation, always composed. Why are you so out of control today?" Wang Chuyi's gaze then fell on Lu Qingdu. "And what happened to your disciple? Was he scratched by a wild bear in the mountains?"

"Master, you have seen the truth!" Zhao Zhijing suddenly looked up, his eyes reddening. "This disciple of mine wasn't injured by a wild bear, but was beaten by someone! Beaten by disciples of my Quanzhen Sect!"

"Oh?" Wang Chuyi became interested. "It's common for fellow disciples to lose their temper during sparring matches. Just tell him to go to the pharmacy for some medicine and rest for a few days. Why make such a fuss with me?"

"Master, if it were just a casual sparring match, I would never dare to disturb your peaceful cultivation!" Zhao Zhijing's voice suddenly rose, filled with grievance and resentment. "The one who attacked me was none other than Yang Guo, the very same Yang Guo who was brought back by the Sect Leader!"

"Yang Guo?"

A handsome young man with delicate features but a hint of wickedness in his eyes appeared in Wang Chuyi's mind.

"Yang Kang's posthumous child?"

"It's this very boy!" Zhao Zhijing gritted his teeth. "This boy is inherently unruly and disobedient. The sect leader, taking pity on his pitiful background, punished him by sending him to the back mountain to reflect on his actions. But instead of repenting, he's become even more unruly!"

He pointed to Lu Qingdu behind him.

"My disciple Qingdu was ordered to patrol the back mountain when he happened to catch Yang Guo going down the mountain without permission! Out of consideration for our fellow disciples, Qingdu stepped forward to dissuade him, but Yang Guo not only ignored him but also hurled insults and attacked him viciously, beating Qingdu into this state!"

Having received a signal from his master, Lu Qingdu immediately began his performance.

He crawled forward two steps with snot and tears streaming down his face and grabbed Wang Chuyi's leg.

"Grandmaster...you must do justice for your grand-disciple!" he wailed, his words slurred. "That little beast Yang Guo...no, that Junior Brother Yang, he's too cruel! He not only hit me, but he also cursed Master, cursed the Quanzhen Sect, said...saying we're all a bunch of useless Taoist priests..."

Wang Chuyi's face darkened.

Hitting someone can be seen as youthful impulsiveness, but insulting one's sect is a completely different matter.

"Zhijing, is what he said true?"

"Absolutely true!" Zhao Zhijing said with a sorrowful expression. "Yang Guo also said that he no longer wanted to be a disciple of the Quanzhen Sect. He wanted to find his mad father, and... he wanted to mingle with the demoness from the Demonic Sect!"

"A demonic witch?" A powerful shockwave spread out from him.

This was exactly what Zhao Zhijing was waiting for.

He lowered his voice: "Master, you don't know this. When Qingdu bumped into him, Yang Guo was embracing and hugging a woman, behaving intimately and indecently! And that woman was wearing an apricot-yellow Taoist robe, holding a whisk in her hand. Qingdu heard Yang Guo call her... call her 'wife'!"

"Apricot-yellow Taoist robe... whisk..." Wang Chuyi's breath hitched slightly.

A name surfaced in his mind.

"Li Mochou?"

"It is indeed the Red Serpent Fairy, Li Mochou!" Zhao Zhijing kowtowed heavily. "Master, Yang Guo, as a disciple of our Quanzhen Sect, has actually colluded with such a ruthless female demon. If this were to spread, wouldn't the Quanzhen Sect's centuries-old reputation be ruined in an instant!"

"Bang!"

A piece of bluestone next to Wang Chuyi cracked and turned into dust.

His tone was so resolute that Zhao Zhijing and Lu Qingdu's clothes fluttered wildly, and they could barely open their eyes.

"Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!"

Wang Chuyi suddenly stood up, his white beard moving without wind, his eyes burning with rage.

The feud between the Quanzhen Sect and Li Mochou has a long history.

Back then, Li Mochou caused a bloodbath in the martial arts world. The Quanzhen Sect sent out all its masters to try and eliminate her, but they did not expect that this woman had many tricks up her sleeve and was extremely ruthless. In that battle, the Quanzhen Sect also lost several of its best fighters, and the two sides became mortal enemies.

In the eyes of upright figures like Wang Chuyi, Li Mochou was a synonym for evil and heresy, a malignant tumor that had to be eradicated.

Yang Guo, Yang Kang's son, was already of questionable birth. Now, he was involved with Li Mochou, which, in Yang Guo's eyes, was the manifestation of the evil within his bloodline.

"That Yang Guo must be young and ignorant, his mind bewitched by that vixen's seductive tricks!" Wang Chuyi paced back and forth in the cave, his expression grave. "The disciples of my Quanzhen Sect must not fall into demonic ways! This boy must be saved!"

Zhao Zhijing was overjoyed, but his face showed a worried expression.

"Master is right. But... Yang Guo seems to be completely bewitched by the enchantress, utterly oblivious to her delusion. Qingdu tried to persuade him, but was instead poisoned. This disciple fears..."

"What's there to be afraid of!" Wang Chuyi sneered. "The Seven Masters of Quanzhen Sect are still alive. How can we allow a demoness to run rampant at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain! If she knows what's good for her and obediently releases the person, I might spare her life. If she remains obstinate, don't blame me for being merciless with my sword!"

He looked at Zhao Zhijing, his tone resolute.

"You did a good job. Upholding the reputation of our sect is our duty."

"It is my duty as a disciple to share my master's burdens and to be loyal to the Quanzhen Sect." Zhao Zhijing lowered his head, concealing the smugness in his eyes.

"Get up now." Wang Chuyi's tone softened. "I will personally treat Qingdu's injuries. Now, go and inform your Uncle Hao Datong to come to Yuxu Cave to see me."

"Yes, Master!" Zhao Zhijing's heart stirred.

Should we also invite Uncle-Master Hao Datong?

Hao Datong had a mild temper, but his hatred of evil was even stronger than that of his master, Wang Chuyi.

It seems that Master is truly enraged this time and is going to kill him.

Zhao Zhijing accepted the order and respectfully withdrew.

Inside the cave, only Wang Chuyi and Lu Qingdu, who was still groaning on the ground, remained.

Wang Chuyi looked at his good-for-nothing grand-disciple with a hint of disgust in his eyes.

"You witch, this old Taoist priest will see what extraordinary abilities you possess that dare to defy the Grand Duke Jupiter!"

He walked to Lu Qingdu's side, reached out and tapped him a few times, transferring a stream of pure internal energy to him.

"You wait here while I gather my men, and we'll descend the mountain together. Then, in front of all my fellow disciples, you'll recount the whole story of Yang Guo's collusion with the demoness!"

"Yes...yes! Thank you, Grandmaster!" Lu Qingdu felt that the pain in his body had lessened a lot, and he quickly kowtowed.

Wang Chuyi ignored him, turned around and walked to the cave entrance, looking at the bustling world below with a cold and sharp gaze.

He could almost see himself holding a long sword, sweeping away the demonic aura, and rescuing his misguided nephew from the clutches of evil.

This is what the orthodox Xuanmen sect should do.
