Courtyard House: Initial Donation of 50 Million

Chapter 56 Confrontation at the Dock: A Stunning Hero

Wang Huanbo informed Huang Feihong of what he had discovered during his nighttime investigation, including the weapons, the forced eviction of the church, and the next steps of the Shahe Gang. Upon hearing this, Huang Feihong's expression turned grave.

"Foreigners are smuggling weapons, they're condoning gang violence, and the government is practically useless... This is driving the people into rebellion!" he lamented. The conflict is now like dry tinder; a single spark could ignite a full-blown conflict.

Sure enough, at noon the next day, bad news came from the dock: a large number of Shahe Gang members, under the "protection" of Jackson and several armed Indian police officers, began to forcibly drive away fishermen on the mudflats and smash fishing boats and nets! Some fishermen resisted and were seriously injured! A conflict was imminent!

"Master! We can't wait any longer!" Pork Rong's eyes were bloodshot as he grabbed the door bar and was about to rush out.

"Yes! Let's fight them!" Liang Kuan also picked up a stick.

The crowd inside Baozhilin was filled with indignation.

"Halt!" Wong Fei-hung shouted sharply. "They have guns! You're just throwing your lives away!"

"Are we just going to stand by and watch our fellow villagers get beaten to death?" Pork Rong roared.

Huang Feihong took a deep breath, his eyes resolute: "If anyone's going, it'll be me! I'm the head of Po Chi Lam, if anyone's going to die, I'll die first!" He took down the long stick from the wall and was about to leave.

"Master, I'll go with you!" Wang Huanbo took a step forward, his gaze resolute. "The enemy has guns, so we need to outsmart them. I've already asked Toothpick Su to contact his friends at the newspaper; perhaps that will be helpful. Our primary objective is to stop the bloodshed and save lives."

Huang Feihong looked at Wang Huanbo and saw the calmness and responsibility in his eyes. He felt reassured and patted him heavily on the shoulder: "Alright! Huanbo, let's go! The rest of you stay here. No one is allowed to make any rash moves without my orders!" He knew that this journey was dangerous and he could not let all his disciples be put in danger.

Aunt Thirteen rushed over upon hearing the news, her face pale. She grabbed Wong Fei-hung's arm, exclaiming, "Fei-hung! It's too dangerous! Those foreigners have guns!"

Looking into her worried eyes, Huang Feihong's heart softened, but his tone was firm: "Joanna, some things have to be done by someone. Don't worry, I'll be careful." He gently pulled his hand away from hers and resolutely turned away.

As Aunt Thirteen watched his departing figure, tears welled up in her eyes. Suddenly, she cried out, "Feihong! I'm waiting for you to come back! You must come back!" At that moment, her emotions were fully revealed.

Huang Feihong paused, but did not turn around; instead, he straightened his back even more.

Chaos reigned on the docks. The Shahe gang, like wolves and tigers, wreaked havoc, looted, and burned. Jackson, cigar in hand, smugly directed the operation. Several Indian policemen, guns drawn, glared menacingly. Fishermen were beaten to the ground, their cries of agony filling the air.

"Stop!" Wong Fei-hung roared, his voice echoing across the dock! Holding a long staff, he stood shoulder to shoulder with Wang Huanbo. Though there were only two of them, their aura was like that of a thousand troops!

The chaotic scene fell silent instantly! Everyone looked at them.

"Huang Feihong? You've finally arrived!" Zhao Tianba grinned maliciously as he stepped forward from the crowd. "What, trying to meddle? I'll take care of you too today!"

Jackson recognized Wang Huanbo and shouted in broken Chinese, "Huang Feihong! Wang! This is Jardine Matheson's territory! Are you trying to rebel? Take him down!"

Several Shahe gang members and police officers were about to step forward.

"Let's see who dares to move!" Wang Huanbo shouted coldly, stepping forward and sweeping his gaze across the crowd like a knife. He spoke to Jackson in fluent English, "Mr. Jackson, your condoning of gang violence and the seizure of civilian property is a serious violation of treaties and international law! I have already informed several journalist friends who are very interested in your company's reputation! If you don't want tomorrow's headline in the North-China Daily News to be 'Jardine Matheson Arson and Looting in Foshan,' you'd better stop your atrocities immediately!"

Jackson's expression changed. He hadn't expected Wang Huanbo to pull this stunt, and the pressure from public opinion was one of the things he feared most.

Taking advantage of the moment of hesitation, Wong Fei-hung addressed the fishermen and onlookers in a loud voice: "Fellow countrymen! These foreign gangs are in cahoots, oppressing the good and kind! But we Chinese are not lambs to be slaughtered! Today, I, Wong Fei-hung, am here, and I will not tolerate their lawlessness!"

"Master Huang is right!"

"Let's fight them!"

The fishermen's morale was boosted.

Seeing the situation was turning bad and fearing things might change, Zhao Tianba shouted sharply, "Enough nonsense! Attack! We don't care if you live or die!" The Shahe Gang members swarmed forward!

"Huanbo, watch out!" Huang Feihong flicked his long staff, meeting Zhao Tianba head-on! The staff's shadow was like a mountain, enveloping Zhao Tianba and his confidants!

Wang Huanbo moved with lightning speed, charging towards the gang members wielding knives! He didn't use his curved sword, lest he reveal his full strength too early. Instead, he unleashed his increasingly refined Tiger-Taming Fist and Tiger-Crane Dual Form, his punches and kicks as swift as the wind, powerful and heavy! The power of the [Super Soldier Serum] was fully displayed; every punch and kick contained terrifying force, leaving those struck with broken bones and tendons! He further utilized his superb footwork to weave through the crowd, specifically targeting joints and disarming them, quickly taking down several people!

In the chaos, an Indian policeman, seeing his comrade at a disadvantage, raised his Martini-Henry rifle and aimed it at Wong Fei-hung's back, who was engaged in fierce combat!

"Master, watch out for a sneak attack!" Wang Huanbo, with his keen eyes and ears, had already sensed the danger! In the nick of time, he kicked the enemy in front of him away, and at the same time, he reached for his waist and a silver coin (a dollar from his system space) that he had been holding was shot out! The precision of his concealed weapon technique brought by [Advanced Firearms Mastery] was unparalleled!

"Whoosh—snap!"

The silver dollar struck the rifle barrel like a bullet! The constable felt a tremendous force, and the rifle flew out of his hand! He looked up in horror and saw Wang Huanbo's icy gaze fixed on him!

"Anyone who dares to fire a shot will suffer the consequences!" Wang Huanbo's voice was as cold as ice, intimidating the entire scene! For a moment, no one dared to draw their guns again!

Huang Feihong glanced gratefully at Wang Huanbo, then gripped his long staff even tighter, forcing Zhao Tianba into a frantic struggle.

Jackson was furious and was about to order all the police officers to open fire when suddenly, a commotion broke out at the entrance to the dock. Several people who looked like reporters, carrying cameras and notebooks, squeezed in. They were the people that Toothpick Sue had sent!

"Mr. Jackson! What is Jardine Matheson's explanation for this matter?" a reporter asked loudly in English.

Jackson's face instantly turned extremely ugly; he knew things were hopeless today. He glared fiercely at Huang Feihong and Wang Huanbo, then gritted his teeth and shouted at Zhao Tianba, "Zhao! Let's go!" With that, he led the police officers in a slinking retreat.

As soon as the gang leader left, the members of the Shahe Gang also retreated like the tide.

The dock was a mess, but the fishermen had saved themselves! They surrounded Wong Fei-hung and Wong Huan-bo, moved to tears.

Huang Feihong looked at Wang Huanbo, his eyes filled with relief, gratitude, and awe. If it weren't for Wang Huanbo's quick thinking—first using public opinion to intimidate him, then saving him from a cold shot at the crucial moment—the consequences would have been unimaginable. This disciple, in terms of martial arts, wisdom, and courage, had surpassed his master!

"Huanbo, we owe you a lot today!" Huang Feihong patted Wang Huanbo on the shoulder heavily.

"Master, this is what I should do," Wang Huanbo said humbly, but he knew that the feud with the Shahe Gang and the foreigners had deepened. A bigger storm was about to break. And the tearful, worried eyes of Aunt Thirteen made him realize that his master also carried a heavy burden of tenderness on his shoulders.

As the sun set, it cast long shadows of the two men. The commotion at the dock had subsided for the time being, but the dark clouds over Foshan grew even heavier.
