Chapter 268 High-Altitude Game and Desert Landing Point

In the night sky, Wang Huanbo's armor streaked across the sky. Tony shouted in the wind, "Explain! What's with that armor? And my suit of armor!" Wang Huanbo looked ahead, his voice calm: "Let's get out of Afghanistan first, nephew. The story is long." Tony scoffed, "Don't call me nephew! Also, the hamburger was good, but the cola was too sweet—buy sugar-free next time." Ethan gripped his armor, gazing at the sand dunes below, a relieved smile playing on his lips. Blue flames tore through the night, hurtling towards freedom.

The night wind whistled in their ears as Wang Huanbo held Tony and Ethan firmly in his arms. The thrusters on the back of the original Ultraman armor spewed out eerie blue flames, tearing through the desolate Afghan night sky. Below them stretched endless sand dunes, which appeared like frozen waves under the cold moonlight.

"Explain! Now! Immediately!" Tony Stark's voice was almost ripped apart by the wind, but the dissatisfaction and commanding tone pierced through the roar of the engines. He was suspended in mid-air, supported only by Wang Huanbo's steel arm, which gave him an unprecedented sense of loss of control—a feeling worse than being imprisoned by the Ten Commandments. "What kind of trick was that that made my precious armor disappear? Spatial folding? Quantum teleportation? And this antique armor of yours, the design is at least thirty years behind the times! The thrusters are too noisy, the aerodynamics are a mess, and the joint flexibility is a disaster! My father's old friend? Ha! He never mentioned any friend who liked to run around wearing this…this museum exhibit!"

The biting high-altitude air currents pounded against the outer shell of the original Ultra Armor like invisible giant hands, producing a muffled whistling sound. Wang Huanbo steadily controlled the armor, his arms like the strongest clamps, firmly securing Tony and Ethan in his arms. Below, the desolate mountains and deserts of Afghanistan rushed past, turning into a blurry yellowish-brown hue, with only the huge column of smoke rising from the Ten Commandments camp clearly visible on the earth like an ugly scar branded onto it.

"Huff...huff..." Ethan's eyes were tightly shut, his hands gripping the cold edge of Wang Huanbo's armor. Each breath was rapid and desperate, a sign of relief. The lack of oxygen at high altitude and the weightlessness from high-speed flight had left him pale and his stomach churning.

In contrast, Tony's performance was much more "spectacular." Like a sardine forced into a can, he struggled to find a less suffocating position under Wang Huanbo's steel arms.

"Hey! Tin can! Can you loosen up a bit? You're about to break my ribs! And this antique thruster of yours is a constant source of eardrum damage! Even a random intern at Stark Industries would design a silencer a hundred times better!" Tony's voice was particularly shrill in the wind noise, carrying his signature venomous tongue, a mixture of dissatisfaction and criticism. "Also, who wrote this flight attitude control algorithm? Is it kindergarten level? The turbulence is making my Burger King in my stomach want to protest! I strongly suggest you send me the control core code as soon as you land, and I'll optimize it for you for free, so you don't displace the internal organs of the people you're rescuing next time!"

Wang Huanbo's lips twitched slightly beneath his helmet. This nephew's mouth certainly lived up to its reputation. He subtly adjusted the thruster's vectoring nozzles, stabilizing the flight attitude, while his voice clearly reached Tony's ears through the armor's built-in communication channel: "Suggestion received. But Tony, more important than optimizing the code right now is our landing location. And, hurry up and adapt to the high-altitude environment; your face is paler than the lab's whitewashed walls."

"Ha! Adapt? I, Tony Stark, need to adapt to this primitive mode of transportation?" Tony immediately retorted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, even though he did feel a little dizzy. "I was just objectively evaluating the performance flaws of your... uh... vehicle! And don't change the subject! Regarding that ridiculous 'uncle' title, I solemnly declare again—no way! Absolutely not! Unless you can prove you're older than my dad, Howard Stark, or you take off this metal suit right now, immediately, and let me see if you used some kind of futuristic plastic surgery or cloning technology!"

As he spoke, he tried to turn his head into Wang Huanbo's arms, attempting to pierce the armor's visors with his large, caramel-colored, scrutinizing eyes to see the person inside. Unfortunately, the deep, cold, diamond-shaped blue visors only reflected his own slightly disheveled image.

As if to prove his words, a wisp of white smoke suddenly rose from an inconspicuous ravine below!

"RPG!" Wang Huanbo's warning and the armor's alarm sounded almost simultaneously!

A rocket trailing an orange-red flame hurtled toward the three flying at high speed like a venomous snake! It was fired by a member of the Ten Commandments gang who had narrowly escaped the cave explosion and was now burning with rage, seeking revenge.

"Oh, sh*t!" Tony cursed, his adrenaline surging instantly.

Wang Huanbo's reaction was lightning fast! He held onto Ethan's arm without moving to ensure his safety, while tightening his grip on Tony's arm suddenly, and at the same time, his body made a near-right-angle high-speed change of direction in the air! The thrusters on the back of the original Ultra Armor burst out with an even more dazzling blue light, and the massive machine displayed incredible agility, narrowly missing the rocket!

The violent turbulence made Tony feel like his internal organs had shifted. Fighting back the urge to vomit, he cursed, "Damn it! Couldn't you have avoided this in a more elegant way?! Did you have to use this method that practically throws your bile out?!"

However, the attack was not over! The rocket seemed to be equipped with a rudimentary tracking device, and it drew an arc in the air, locking onto them again!

"Troublesome." Wang Huanbo snorted coldly. This time, he didn't choose to avoid it. He turned in mid-air and hugged Tony and Ethan tightly, the blue timer on his chest emitting a strong blue light.

"Buzz—hum!"

A condensed blue beam shot out and accurately hit the warhead of the incoming rocket!

"Boom!"

A dazzling fireball exploded in mid-air, sending shockwaves and debris flying everywhere. Wang Huanbo had already erected a light blue Ultraman energy shield, steadily keeping the flying debris and shockwaves several meters away from the three of them.

"Wow!" Tony's eyes lit up instantly at the lightning-fast interception, temporarily forgetting his physical discomfort. "An energy weapon? A pulse beam? The energy conversion efficiency looks pretty high! This technology is interesting, much better than the toys those S.H.I.E.L.D. agents use! However, the beam's focus seems a bit off, the energy dissipation rate is high, and the heat dissipation structure is also questionable... Hey, Iron Man, we need to have a good talk about the weapon systems of your armor after we land!"

His professional instincts kicked in, and he instantly switched into technical analysis mode, rattling off a string of technical jargon and improvement suggestions, as if he hadn't been the one who had almost been blown to pieces just moments before.

Wang Huanbo ignored Tony's technical comments; his gaze was fixed on the ravine below where the rockets had been launched. The Demon Blade Thousand Blades was already in his hand.

"Want to play? Then play big." He muttered to himself.

With a flick of his wrist, the Demon Blade Thousand Blades instantly disintegrated! But this time, it didn't shatter into hundreds of fragments; instead, it coalesced into dozens of thicker, longer energy blades, like purple lightning bolts! Under Wang Huanbo's precise control of his Ultraman mind, these blades, like living poisonous dragons, trailed long purple tails and swooped down into the ravine below at speeds far exceeding those of rockets!

"Boom boom boom boom—!"

A series of deafening explosions echoed through the mountain valley, sending mud, rocks, and flames shooting into the sky! The precise strike instantly covered the area, completely eradicating any remaining threat. After completing its mission, the purple light blade transformed into a stream of light and flew back, reforming itself into the complete Demon Blade Thousand Blades.

"Cool!" Tony whistled, this time a genuine exclamation. "This weapon system is something else! Energy materialization? Or some kind of high-dimensional space cutting technology? This is much more environmentally friendly than the Jericho missile, at least there's no pollution... Wait, speaking of Jericho, that explosion just now was enough to give those bastards a hard time, right?" He remembered the "gift" he had left behind, and a vengeful smug look appeared on his face.

"Hold on tight, preparing for landing." Wang Huanbo's voice interrupted Tony's thoughts. The thrusters' lights began to dim, and the flight altitude rapidly decreased. Below them were no longer the continuous barren mountains, but the edge of a relatively flat Gobi desert dotted with a few drought-resistant shrubs. In the distance, the outline of a small oasis could be vaguely seen, shimmering faintly in the scorching sunlight.

"Landing? In this godforsaken place?" Tony looked down at the monotonous scenery and curled his lip. "Not even a decent road, let alone a five-star hotel. I say, Mr. Time Traveler, shouldn't your navigation system be upgraded? Or do you have a spare luxury RV in your 'time pocket'?"

Ignoring Tony's complaints, Wang Huanbo chose a leeward sand dune as his landing spot. The thrusters on the back of the armor shot downwards, the powerful recoil kicking up clouds of yellow sand. Amid Tony's protests of "Slow down! Slow down! My hairstyle! Although it may be gone by now!", the original Ultra Armor landed steadily on the soft sand, stirring up a cloud of dust.
