Love in the Courtyard: Starting with Engineers

In the open space under the sycamore trees in the military compound, a group of teenagers were surrounding a little girl with pigtails, their eyes filled with fear.

The little girl, Nannan, had only recently moved in. She stood with her hands on her hips, speaking to the boy who was half a head taller than her:

"Do you submit? If not, I can take you down three more times!"

The boy rubbed his sore arm and nodded quickly.

"I'm convinced! Big Sister Nannan, I'll listen to you from now on!"

The surrounding children joined in the cheering: "Big Sister is awesome!"

Nannan looked at the person in front of her with a smug expression, and out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of her little brother who had just learned to walk not far away, and waved to him:

"Xiaoyu, come here! Call her Big Sister!"

The younger brother stumbled over and called out in a childish voice, "Big Sister!"

"Good boy!" Nannan patted her little brother's head.

Bai Ling, sitting by the door, watched this scene and couldn't help but shake her head with a smile.

Just then, Aunt Zhang from next door came over and joked:

"Bai Ling, you're really something! Back then, you were the leader of all the kids in our compound."

"Now, my daughter has surpassed her father and has completely subdued all the other children."

Bai Ling smiled awkwardly and said, "This child runs around outside and beats people up every day, I can't control him."

After dinner, Nannan took her younger brother to play in the yard while Bailing cleaned up the dishes.

Li Yu sat in his study, turned on his computer, and the screen was full of data analysis reports on various industries in Japan.

Bai Ling carried a cup of tea into the study and saw Li Yu busy again. She couldn't help but say, "Didn't I tell you to rest? Why are you working again?"
