Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 97 The Hogwarts Christmas Party

Ron said incredulously, with a hint of mockery in his voice.

"He actually gave you his notes? That's even more unbelievable than seeing Hermione give up on her studies!"

Harry then put the notebook aside.

He didn't believe that Professor Snape, who was always causing him trouble, would be so kind.

Harry and Ron then saw an invisibility cloak that had been sent anonymously.

......

The Christmas party at Hogwarts was very lively.

Just as Ron touched the turkey leg, a loud bang suddenly erupted from the dome of the auditorium.

Thousands upon thousands of magical ice crystal butterflies poured down from the cracks in the ceiling, their wings scattering gold dust that turned the air honey-colored.

"Merlin! This is much more exciting than the Christmas firecrackers at the Burrow!"

Wizard firecrackers flashed above the dining table, nearly knocking over the floating pumpkin pie tower—the twelve-layered puff pastry was automatically cutting into pieces, and the cutlery danced as it distributed the food to the little wizard's plate.

"Quiet! The principal is about to give a speech!"

Percy's voice cut through the noise, his male student leader badge gleaming.

He was directing a group of walking candles to lay a starlight carpet on the teachers' bench.

Unfortunately, the candles clearly preferred to dance, and one of them used its wax to draw a funny face sticking out its tongue on the tablecloth.

"Hahaha!"

Fred and George peeked out from behind the Christmas tree.

They transformed themselves into conjoined nutcracker soldiers, their wooden joints creaking.

"Dear Prefect—" George's head suddenly popped up in front of Percy.

With his mouth opening and closing, he sang the off-key "California March," while another Fred's body remained in place, tap-dancing with his mechanical legs.

"Hey Harry, look over there!"

Ron suddenly pointed to a corner of the auditorium and burst into laughter.

Harry looked in the direction Ron was pointing and saw a Hufflepuff wizard trying to make his Santa hat fly with magic.

Instead of flying off, the hat flew around the auditorium like a mad bird.

Finally, it was pinned directly on Professor McGonagall's head.

Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, then shook her head helplessly, took the hat off her head, and handed it back to the blushing little wizard.

The surrounding classmates burst into laughter, while the other person lowered their head, wishing they could disappear into a crack in the ground.

Just then, Fred and George Weasley stopped dancing and were holding several bottles of bubbly, colorful drinks.

"Hey Harry! Ron! Come try our latest invention—'Merry Christmas Sparkling Water'!"

Fred said with a grin, handing each of them a bottle.

"Drink this, and you'll feel like you're flying on Santa's sleigh!" George added, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

Harry hesitated for a moment, but when he saw Ron take the bottle, he mustered up his courage and took a sip.

The next second, his black hair suddenly turned into a shimmering green, and a string of colorful bubbles emerged from his ears.

"Fred! George!"

Harry yelled angrily, but Fred and George were already doubled over with laughter and quickly slipped into the crowd.

Meanwhile, in a corner of the Great Hall, Professor Snape was quietly observing all of this.

His gaze lingered on Harry for a moment before he turned and left the Great Hall, his black robes fluttering gently behind him.

On a Hogwarts afternoon, sunlight danced on the snow, like Galleons scattered across the ground.

Dumbledore and Professor Alder stood in the open space in front of the castle, their robes fluttering in the cold wind.

"Albus, I bet my Transfiguration can make chocolate flowers bloom on this snowfield."

Professor Old waved his wand, and the tip of the wand sparkled with golden light.

"Oh?"

Dumbledore blinked, a sly glint in his half-moon spectacles. "Then I can make these flowers sing Christmas carols."

As soon as the first spell was cast, chocolate-colored flower buds actually sprouted in the snow.

But as soon as Dumbledore raised his wand, the flower bud suddenly burst open, turning into a group of flying gingerbread men who sprinkled icing sugar and drew hearts in the air.

"ha!"

Unconvinced, Ald waved his wand again, and the gingerbread man immediately put on his roller skates and began to dance ballet on the frozen lake.

The spells were exchanged back and forth, and what fell from the sky was not snow, but a rain of glowing candies;

The castle walls are covered with dancing vines, and every leaf is playing the sound of bells.

Even the willow tree that used to hit people was now obediently shaking the bells on its body.

"professor!"

Harry's voice came from afar; he was having a snowball fight with the Weasley kids. "Want to join us?"

The two professors exchanged a glance and simultaneously revealed mischievous smiles.

Dumbledore waved his wand, and all the snowballs turned into fluffy rabbits that hopped and skipped after the students.

Grindelwald was not to be outdone.

The rabbits sprouted little wings and flew straight towards the faces of the little wizards.

"This isn't fair!" Fred and George shouted. These two professors were using magic in their snowball fight!

"Take this!"

Ald suddenly threw a snowball at Dumbledore.

But halfway there it transformed into a white peacock, gracefully landing on Dumbledore's shoulder.

Dumbledore laughed in response, and with a flick of his wand, a snowball flew toward his opponent.

An ice throne suddenly grew from beneath Ald's feet, lifting him high into the air.

The students were stunned, and even Snape leaned out of the castle window—though he was hit in the nose by a lost flying rabbit the next second.

......

As the setting sun painted the sky red, everyone was exhausted and lay down on the snow.

Dumbledore conjured a flying rocking chair, and together with Ald, they floated in the air, showering the students below with glowing candy.

"Albus," Old looked at the students playing around below, "now I think I know why you've decided to stay here."

Dumbledore smiled and nodded, pulling a packet of squeaky honey candy from his sleeve. "Want one? I promise this is real candy, not a singing frog."

Soon, the sun had gone out.

The biting cold wind made people shiver.

Harry and his friends returned to the fireplace in the common room and then tried out the new chess pieces with their friends.

He felt that this was the happiest Christmas he had ever had since he was born.

But two questions still lingered in his mind.

Why did Professor Snape give himself a gift?

And who gave him that invisibility cloak?

At this moment, in the principal's lounge, two silver-white heads were almost bumping into each other.

"Albus, I have something good here that you must try."

Professor Old mysteriously pulled a small cloth bag tied with a gold ribbon from his robe pocket, a smug smile on his face.

Dumbledore pushed up his half-moon spectacles, a sly glint in his blue eyes: "Oh? What a coincidence, I also have something good here that I'd like you to take a look at."

As he spoke, he pulled out an almost identical small cloth bag from his sleeve, except that the ribbon had been replaced with a silver one.
