Hogwarts' Golden Glory

Chapter 81 Zhang Qiu's Guidance

Draco fled desperately in the moonlight, the urgent barking of Hagrid's hound, Fang Fang, echoing behind him.

Each bark from the dog deepened Draco's terror.

The dense grass became his obstacle, and in his panic, he lost his footing.

He lunged forward, his hands instinctively reaching for something to hold onto for balance, but all he managed to grab was a handful of cold earth.

His knees slammed heavily onto the ground, and a piercing pain instantly shot through him. His palms were also scraped, and a burning sensation spread from his palms.

"Damn dog!"

Draco muttered a curse under his breath and turned around.

Ya Ya glanced behind her and found no one there, so she quickly ran towards Hagrid's cabin.

Seeing such a timid dog, Draco could only secretly lament his bad luck.

Ignoring the pain, he gritted his teeth and got up, continuing to limp back towards the Slytherin dormitory.

"Kane!" Draco cried, his voice trembling with pain and surprise. "You'll never believe... what I saw."

Kane looked up from a thick alchemy book, a hint of doubt flashing in his deep eyes.

They were clearly curious about Draco's behavior.

"What's wrong, Draco? You look like you've been chased by Dementors." Kane put down his book, crossed his arms, and looked at the disheveled Draco.

Draco, seeing Harry walking with Ron again, curiously followed them.

To their surprise, they saw them fiddling with a dragon, and they hadn't heard a word they'd said before!

However, what annoyed Draco was that it seemed Ron and Harry had many little secrets he didn't know about!

Draco took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Hagrid has a dragon! I saw it in his hut. The dragon egg hatched, and a baby dragon..."

Draco described it vividly, gesturing with his hands in the air to depict the appearance of the little dragon.

Kane frowned, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.

It seems Voldemort has already begun his operation, but it's unclear how much of the plot Harry and his friends know.

"Don't think about that now, Draco," Kane said. "Quidditch is what we should be focusing on right now."

"Remember this, if you don't win this time, let's see how you explain yourself when you go home for Christmas!"

Draco paused for a moment, almost forgetting about the upcoming Quidditch match.

"Look at you, you've managed to turn spying into this mess, you're quite the character."

Kane then cast a spell, instantly restoring the ground where Draco had just fallen to its original state.

"You don't need to train tomorrow. Focus on preparing for your match."

After saying that, Kane turned around and went back to his dormitory.

The next day, Harry originally planned to explain things to Kane during the morning training session.

Hopefully, the two of them won't tell anyone that Hagrid is raising a dragon.

But neither of them came all morning.

"Harry, you seem a little unhappy today. Are you worried about today's Quidditch match?"

Zhang Qiu asked the boy beside her gently.

"No." Harry shook his head.

"If there's anything you need to tell me, we're friends after all."

"Thank you, Cho." Harry's face flushed slightly; he felt it was nice to receive such concern from the other person.

"So if it's not Quidditch, then what could it be that's bothering Harry, the Savior?"

"I was just thinking about some things, like, what if you found out your best friend was actually a bad person?"

Harry finally blurted it out.

He had never dared to say this openly, because he didn't want to tell Hermione that Kane was a big bad guy.

"Since he's my friend, I believe he himself is definitely not a problem."

"Then I would wonder if my friend was under some kind of threat that forced her to do this."

Zhang Qiu thought about it seriously and then shared her thoughts.

Upon hearing this, Harry immediately realized that Kane must have been threatened!

Kane will be fine as long as he drives Voldemort away.

Harry suddenly realized something and glanced at Cho Chang!

"Thank you! You're right."

"I'm glad I could help!"

Afterwards, Harry wanted to find Kane and tell him not to worry about those issues.

Unfortunately, he did not see Kane this morning.

Harry, who was preparing for the match, went to the dressing room early to change into their bright red Quidditch team uniform.

Hogwarts Quidditch matches use a round-robin format.

The four houses—Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw—took turns battling it out.

After the competition is completed, the rankings will be determined based on the total scores.

The first match was between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

Harry stood in the Gryffindor team's dugout. Wood had just told them that they were the strongest class ever and that they were sure to win.

He held the brand-new Nimbus 2000 broom in his hand, a gift from Professor McGonagall.

Harry took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of the sunlight on his skin, trying to calm his tense emotions.

He could see that Hermione and Neville were holding up a huge, sparkly banner!

It read "Porter will win!"

He could even hear the shouts from the people around him!

"Today's match is very important, and I can't let everyone down," Harry thought to himself.

Draco was standing in the Slytherin team's rest area.

He put on a brand new green team uniform with a silver snake logo embroidered on the chest.

He held his expensive Nimbus 2000 broom tightly in his hand, feeling an indescribable sense of relief!

"Today, I'm going to catch the Golden Snitch and teach those Gryffindor guys a lesson."

Draco made a silent vow, a hint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes.

Kane just gave him a secret weapon!

You should know how precious Felix Felicis is.

This morning Kane added Felix Felicis to his food!

To ensure I have a good holiday after returning home for Christmas.

He looked across to the Gryffindor team's dugout, where Harry's conspicuous red jersey came into view.

"Potter, you'd better just admit defeat this time!" Draco's lips curled up slightly, revealing a confident smile.

Just then, Harry, who was about to enter the field, saw Kane standing at the edge of the Slytherin dugout, quietly watching the field.

Kane noticed Harry's gaze, raised his head slightly, and greeted Harry.

A complex emotion welled up in Harry's heart.

Although there seems to be some unknown secret between Kane and Snape.

But now he doesn't have time to think about these things.

"Please hop on your flying brooms."

The people on both sides simultaneously mounted their brooms.

With Mrs. Hooch's whistle, the competition began!
