Hogwarts' Golden Glory
Chapter 197 Ginny's Curiosity
"Daddy!" Ginny cried out, slamming her milk glass onto the table with a crash. "Your hair...and your eyebrows..."
Arthur Weasley waved weakly, his bald scalp glowing an eerie pink in the morning light.
He shuffled toward the table, looking like a zombie under a swaying spell.
"Don't even mention it," he groaned, slumping into a chair. "The Malfoys...it's the Malfoys again..."
The dining table fell eerily quiet.
The twins exchanged a wary glance, Ron's fork froze in mid-air, and Percy's fingers unconsciously crushed the bread roll in his hand.
"Kane Malfoy?" Percy suddenly put down the Daily Prophet, his voice shrill. "What did he do to you?"
"How did you know it was him!" Arthur looked at his son curiously.
"I went to search their house for dark magic artifacts! But this kid tricked me, and my hair and eyebrows were all burned off!"
George suddenly choked on his pumpkin juice: "Wait, wasn't it supposed to start with a bunch of foam, then a little spark and then—"
Fred stomped on his foot hard under the table.
George immediately shut his mouth.
Kane truly lives up to their reputation as the king of pranks!
"So this really was a Malfoy plot!" Ron's ears turned bright red. "I knew that little weasel was up to no good!"
"Actually," Harry interjected cautiously, "Kane is considered very good at school; almost every teacher thinks so..."
"That's because he wants to be the next Dark Lord!" Ron exclaimed, brandishing his knife excitedly. "The Malfoys are all the same!"
"By the way? Who are you?"
It was only then that Arthur realized they seemed to have guests!
"This is Harry! Your son picked him up this morning in your flying car!"
Mrs. Weasley grumbled, clearly displeased with her children's adventurous behavior.
"Harry? Is it Harry Potter? It's nice to meet you! But how well does my car fly?"
Upon hearing Harry's name, Mr. Weasley expressed his excitement.
But soon the question turned to his car!
Mrs. Weasley was very unhappy at this moment.
"I'm talking about your kid! Driving that car of yours! Flying across most of the country!"
Sensing his wife's anger, Mr. Weasley immediately changed his tune!
"If you ask me, what you've done is going too far!"
After quickly finishing their meal, Ron showed Harry around his bedroom.
As soon as Ron opened his bedroom door, a unique aroma wafted out, a mixture of mints, old parchment, and the smell of smoke.
The orange-red walls were covered with posters of the Chadli Artillery Corps.
The players are riding brooms back and forth within the picture frame.
"Look, this is the latest artillery team uniform!"
Ron excitedly pointed to a dynamic poster showing several players displaying their bright orange jerseys, "I saved up my allowance for three months to buy this limited edition."
As Harry leaned closer to look, the goalkeeper in the poster suddenly winked at him.
Throw out a golden thief model that explodes.
The small model streaked through the air, eventually transforming into the words: "Chadli Artillery Corps—Losing since 1902, but never giving up!"
"Uh...it's pretty inspiring," Harry said dryly.
On Ron's bedside table sat a framed photo of the Weasley family.
Harry noticed that Percy in the photos was always trying to fix his hair, which the twins had messed up.
Little Ginny hid behind her mother, only showing half of her flushed face.
Meanwhile, in the garden outside the kitchen, Ginny was helping the twins "organize" their experimental materials—actually, she was gathering information.
"So," Ginny said, casually fiddling with a box of squeaky jelly candies, "that Malfoy is really as amazing as the magazines say?"
Fred and George exchanged a glance.
"Kane? Merlin? He's a genius!"
George pulled a Galleon from his pocket, with the small letters "MD" engraved on it.
"We have a very deep friendship!"
"At school, we accidentally set Snape's robes on fire while experimenting with 'fever candy',"
Fred lowered his voice, "Guess what? Kane convinced the old bat with just one sentence that Peeves was responsible."
Ginny's eyes widened: "He even took the blame for you guys?"
"Not only that," George said mysteriously.
"Professor McGonagall wanted to seize our experimental subjects, but Kane helped us move them away beforehand."
Ginny suddenly pulled a roll of parchment from the box: "What's this? Can I take a look?"
Ginny unfolded the parchment and found it was a shop design drawing.
The top is written in ornate cursive script: "The Weasleys Wizarding Tricks and the Miracles of Malfoy"!
In the lower right corner there is a small stamp that reads "Malfoy Investment".
"You...you've already opened a shop?" Ginny's voice rose in shock. "Right in Hogsmeade?"
"Shh—" the twins simultaneously covered her mouth, "Mom thinks we're just doing odd jobs at the Pighead Bar!"
George magically produced a key from behind his ear: "Shop number 93, and in the basement there's Kane's alchemy lab."
"No wonder you're never home!" Ginny exclaimed, suddenly realizing, "And you always bring back a bunch of weird Galleons..."
Fred suddenly knelt down on one knee and exaggeratedly grasped Ginny's hand: "My dear sister, we need you to keep this secret."
"At least until we've earned enough money to buy the Diagon Alley shops," George added.
Ginny narrowed her eyes slyly: "What benefit would I get?"
The twins exclaimed in unison, "A lifetime free shopping pass to Weasley's Magical Tricks!"
Five minutes later, Ginny's arms were full of all sorts of novel gadgets:
A pair of color-changing earrings (the color changes according to the wearer's mood).
The best part is—a quill pen that automatically writes beautiful love letters.
"Does this pen really work?" Ginny asked skeptically.
"Of course!" Fred said confidently. "We developed it together with Kane, and we even used rhetorical techniques from ancient runes."
George leaned close to Ginny's ear: "We used this to write a love letter for Percy before, and Percy still has no idea what happened..."
Upstairs, Ron was showing Harry his latest collection of Chocolate Frog cards.
"Look, I've collected the entire Seeker series from 1990 onwards!"
Ron proudly pointed to the display case on the wall, "Just one more..."
"Those little creatures outside! They've come into your house!"
Harry looked out the small window and saw the ground below.
A group of goblins sneaked into the Weasleys' hedge one by one.
