Although the casualties among the non-humans on the ground defense line were not significant, their physical and mental exhaustion was clearly visible.

"In other words, someone has to go through the rift to Apokolips and cause trouble." Old Liao's expression changed. "That's the enemy's lair."

"A suicide mission." Feng Zhenghao shook his head.

"Not necessarily." Gong Qing's voice came through the communicator. "If someone can hold out on Apokolips for three minutes, blow up the delivery device, and run away, they can be teleported back using the gashapon shop's business card."

"Three minutes?" Tony scoffed. "Do you even know what's on Apokolips?"

"Darkseid's Royal Guard, the Omega Ray, and possibly Darkseid himself."

"Three minutes? Why didn't you just say three seconds?"

"Three seconds is fine too, it depends on who goes."

Everyone fell silent.

"That's not urgent." Wayne slammed his hand on the table, bringing the topic back on track. "Right now, the priority is to hold off the third and fourth waves and buy more time to gather intelligence."

"Steelbow is analyzing the spatial frequency of the cracks. If we can pinpoint the precise coordinates of the enemy's delivery system, the success rate of the raid will be much higher."

"Agreed." Tony nodded. "Defend first, then attack, but the attack plan must be formulated simultaneously."

"The Quanxing can be the vanguard," Gong Qing volunteered. "We're best at this kind of raiding."

"Can you last three minutes?" Tony glanced at him.

"Mr. Gong never fights a battle he's not sure he can win." Gong Qing pushed up his glasses, the cracks in the lenses reflecting an eerie light under the lamplight. "But if the price is right..."

"Shut up."

Old Liao patted him on the back of the head.

End of the meeting.

The personnel quickly dispersed, seizing every minute to rest and resupply.

Li Ang stood by the railing of the podium, having finished his Coke.

He looked at the blood-red crack in the sky, its edges continuing to widen.

A new message appeared on the system panel.

[Energy fluctuations detected on the other side of the crack are reorganizing.]

[Warning: An unknown energy signature was detected in the third wave of delivery units, which does not match any of the previous Parademons.]

[The host is advised to prepare for threats of unknown level.]

"Unknown level?" Li Ang crushed the empty can and threw it into the system space for recycling.

He smacked his lips and reached into his spatial storage to pull out another bag of popcorn.

"Darkseid is finally sending something interesting."

Thirty-one minutes.

It was one minute less than Jarvis's estimated shortest time.

The crack lit up again.

But this time, what surged from the cracks was not an overwhelming black tide.

There are only three.

Moreover, the color is neither red nor purple.

It is pure black.

It's so black that even the night sky looks white against it.

"What's going on?"

Old Liao stared at the monitor screen, his pupils contracting.

Clark's figure transformed into an orange-gold shooting star, hurtling towards the three black dots of light.

The solar core furnace was operating at full power, and two beams of star radiation blasted towards the black entity in the center.

The beam of light hit its target.

The black humanoid creature remained motionless amidst the stellar radiation, its body surface covered by a thin, oily black film that absorbed all the energy.

Then it swung its hand back.

A black arc shot out from its palm, traveled hundreds of meters, and struck Clark's left shoulder.

Superman's body was knocked back.

"Um?"

The cells in Superman's shoulder stopped regenerating after coming into contact with the black energy.

"A variant of the Omega ray!"

Clark steadied himself, black smoke billowing from the wound on his left shoulder.

"Don't try to tough it out!" Wayne's command was almost a shout.

The three black individuals moved simultaneously.

They are not as fast as the Flash, but they are ten times faster than any of the previous high-ranking Parademons.

Three dark figures separated, one rushing towards Banner, one towards the base vehicle, and the last one directly attacking the podium.
