Entertainment to the death, make a tokusatsu film that will crush the entire internet.

Inside the VIP lounge.

When Ke Jie pushed open the door, Yang Qian was adding the last spoonful of honey to the cup and stirring gently.

"sit."

Yang Qian looked up and gestured for Ke Jie to sit on the sofa opposite her, then pushed the teacup over to him.

"Try it, it's this year's freshly picked Longjing tea, with a little acacia honey added, it should suit your taste."

Ke Jie was somewhat surprised, took the teacup and took a sip.

The refreshing aroma of tea mixed with a subtle sweetness is truly delightful.

"Teacher A-Guang specifically asked me to come; it couldn't be just to invite me for tea, could it?"

He put down his teacup and got straight to the point.

Yang Qian smiled, but instead of answering directly, he asked a question.

"How did you feel about that game of chess just now?"

Ke Jie paused slightly, then shrugged.

"A loss is a loss; we were simply outmatched."

"Inferior in skill?"

Yang Qian repeated it, then looked up at him.

"Ke Jie, you are 24 years old this year, an eight-time world champion, and ranked number one in the domestic rankings."

"I checked the records of that guy, Li Dazhu. He's an amateur third-dan, and his main job is as a construction worker. His wife passed away three years ago, and he's raising a daughter who is congenitally deaf on his own."

"You're telling me you're less skilled than others?"

Ke Jie didn't say anything.

Yang Qian didn't press further. Instead, he got up, walked to the cabinet next to him, and took out a rectangular wooden box.

The wooden box is dark brown all over, with a smooth, mirror-like surface. The corners are wrapped in brass, and a line of small characters is engraved in the center.

The Great Harmony of Heaven and Earth – Jiang Liuer

"This is……"

Ke Jie's pupils constricted slightly.

Yang Qian placed the wooden box on the coffee table and gently pushed open the lid.

Inside is a complete Go board and Go pieces.

The chessboard is carved from a single piece of rosewood, with nineteen lines inlaid with silver wire, giving it a warm luster under the light.

Two jars of chess pieces, one black and one white.

The jar is engraved with the classic scene of Jiang Liuer playing Go against Kuroki from the manga "Go Master".

The black pieces are made of black jade, while the white pieces are made of mutton fat jade. Each piece is polished to be round and full, and feels warm to the touch.

On the side of the chessboard, there is also a line of Yang Qian's autograph.

To Ke Jie: The way of chess is boundless, and the heart of a child remains pure.

—Ah Guang.

"I had Tianma Toy Factory commission a master craftsman to make this chessboard when I was preparing for the competition."

"We originally prepared two sets, one as the champion's prize and one as a backup."

Yang Qian pushed the wooden box in front of Ke Jie.

"Now, I think the best place for it is here with you."

Ke Jie looked at the chessboard in front of him, his Adam's apple bobbing.

He reached out, his fingertips lightly touching the warm, smooth surface of the sandalwood, then withdrew his hand.

"Teacher A-Guang, this is too precious, I can't..."

"Take it."

Yang Qian interrupted him.

"This is neither a reward nor compensation."

"It's a thank you."

"Thank you for everything you've done for 'Go Master,' and thank you for letting more people see the charm of Go."

"Thank you for that game of chess just now."

Ke Jie raised his head.

Yang Qian looked at him calmly.

Some victories don't happen on the chessboard.

"Some champions don't even make it into the trophy."

"Your choice today is more worthy of this chessboard than winning a hundred tournament matches."

Ke Jie remained silent for a long time.

Finally, he took a deep breath, accepted the wooden box with both hands, and solemnly held it in his arms.

"Thank you, Mr. Guang."

"I will cherish it."

……

The day after the Go tournament ended, in the office of the Land of Light.

Su Xiaoran knocked on the door and came in.

"Director Yang, the production and post-production of the first 36 episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura have been completed. At a rate of two episodes per day, it will be enough to air for half a month."

"The production team is working hard to finish the remaining parts and expects to complete them before the end of the broadcast."

Yang Qian nodded.

"Thanks for your hard work."

"In addition, this is the publicity schedule sent by Starlight Video. Editor Dami has already coordinated it. It's an S-level resource, and it will start at midnight tomorrow."

Su Xiaoran handed over the tablet.

Yang Qian glanced at it and saw no problem.

"Okay, proceed as planned."

He picked up his phone and sent a message to his editor, Dami.

[A-Guang]: "I've already uploaded the new work, let's arrange the promotion."

He replied almost instantly.

[Editor Dami]: "Alright, Guangda, still S-level marketing!"

Perhaps the higher-ups at Starlight Video have heard something.

After "That Rabbit" was submitted, Starlight Video increased its traffic support for the Kingdom of Light.

[Editor Dami]: "What kind of genre will Guangda be producing this time? Hot-blooded anime or tokusatsu? (rubbing hands.jpg)"

[A-Guang]: "For women only."

On the other side of the screen, Da Mi's hand, which was about to type on the keyboard, was suspended in mid-air.

Is it geared towards women?

The Land of Light does this?

Could there be a female bigwig among the newly hired animation directors?

Several well-known female animation directors in China flashed through his mind, but he rejected them one by one.

No, given the Land of Light's style, if they had such talent joining them, they would have already publicized it everywhere.

[Editor Dami]: "Guangda, you have quite a wide range of interests... (wiping sweat.jpg)"

Yang Qian didn't explain much and directly sent over the poster and synopsis of "Cardcaptor Sakura".

Da Mi clicked on the poster.

In the center of the picture is a cute girl wearing a black and white sailor uniform with the characteristics of the Cherry Blossom Province.

She held a uniquely shaped magic wand, and a small orange beast flew beside her.

Main cast and crew list.

Original work/script/series composition: A-Guang

Animation Director: A-Guang

Character Design: A-Guang

Music: Hu Pangbin

Rice: "..."

It really was Everbright that personally handled it.

It covered everything from beginning to end.

He stared at the smiling girl on the poster, then looked at the familiar name in the cast and crew list.

A strange premonition welled up in my heart.

This time, someone is probably going to be proven wrong again.

[Ah Guang]: "The price is still 0.25 yuan."

[Editor Rice]: "Look at what you're saying, have I even asked you about the price yet? (It's become a habit.jpg)"

……

Midnight the next day.

The homepage and splash screen animation of Starlight Video change on time.

Amidst a flurry of cherry blossoms, Sakura twirls around, holding her magic wand.

The "GG" banner at the very top of the Starlight Video homepage, the scrolling recommendation slots, the special topic pages...

Almost all the most prominent positions were occupied by promotional images for "Cardcaptor Sakura".

Each slogan is more eye-catching than the last.

"A brand new masterpiece from the Land of Light, Cardcaptor Sakura, has arrived!"

"A-Guang's first magical adventure anime featuring girls is here!"

"Sakura's magical adventure will heal your entire autumn!"

"Two episodes daily, currently being serialized!"

The official Weibo account of the Land of Light and Yang Qian's personal account are updating simultaneously:

[Light Country Animation Studio - Hikaru]:

"The new game 'Cardcaptor Sakura' is released today. It's a story about magic, friendship, and growth."

"I hope it can bring everyone a little warmth and joy."

The comment section was instantly flooded with a large number of fans:

"It's here! It's here! Everbright's new work!"

"Targeting women? Magical girl style? This art style is so cute!"

"Waaaaah, Sakura is so cute! Kero is so adorable too! I never knew Kodai could do this kind of style!"

"Never mind, I'll just watch it anyway! Guangda's works never disappoint!"

Of course, doubts and pessimistic voices also arrived as expected.

"Doesn't the Land of Light only produce works aimed at men or all ages? What about works aimed at women? Does Hikaru even understand how to do that?"

"It's over. Everbright has really run out of ideas and is now just copying Tencent Video's 'The Promise Under the Stars'."

"Tsk, they've run out of ideas, haven't they? First it was the Go tournament, now it's girls' anime. They should have used that energy to produce more Ultraman."

"A super team isn't a bad idea!"

"Kuangda, do you still remember Kamen Rider... (resentfully)"

"What kind of story can a little girl be the main character? And the art style is so childish, it's probably just trying to fool kids."

……

Tencent Video headquarters.

Wisteria looked at the promotional poster for "Cardcaptor Sakura" on the screen with disdain.

"Following the trend?"

She shook her head, picked up her coffee, and took a sip.

Ah Guang, Ah Guang, you finally couldn't hold back anymore.

Seeing the huge success of "The Promise Under the Stars," do they want to get a piece of the pie?

Unfortunately, the female-oriented market is not something you can succeed in with just a momentary inspiration.

She clicked on the introduction of "Cardcaptor Sakura" and quickly glanced at it.

Spellbooks, Clow Cards, Guardian Beasts, Transformation Spells...

It's a very classic shoujo manga setting, nothing new.

The art style is also a typical cute style.

It can't compare to the beautiful, cinematic quality of "The Promise Under the Stars".

"This kind of work can only attract a few young female viewers at best. Is it trying to compete with 'The Promise Under the Stars'?"

The wisteria flower chuckled softly and closed the page.

She couldn't even be bothered to watch the first episode.

In her view, the competition was already lost the moment Ah Guang chose to follow the trend.

……

It was exactly 8 p.m.

Countless viewers clicked on the first episode of "Cardcaptor Sakura" on time.

As a die-hard fan of A-Guang, Lao Zhang naturally sat in front of the computer early on.

Although he's not a big fan of magical girl themes, he doesn't want to miss any of the Land of Light's works.

The opening theme song, "Open the Door," begins to play.

The upbeat melody and sweet vocals instantly captivate the ears.

"This opening theme is pretty good."

Old Zhang raised an eyebrow.

The main feature begins.

Episode 1: Sakura and the Mysterious Magic Book

Sakura Kinomoto, a fourth-grade elementary school student, is a lively and cheerful ordinary girl.

One day, I discovered a mysterious ancient book with a sun pattern on the cover in my father's study.

When she curiously turned the pages of the book and recited the spell on the "Wind" card.

A strong gust of wind scattered the Clow Cards sealed in the book in all directions.

At the same time, the guardian beast in the book, Keroberos (Little Ke), also awakens.

Kero tells Sakura that these scattered Clow Cards possess various magical powers.

If left unchecked, it could lead to disaster.

"So, from this day forward, you are the new Cardcaptor Sakura!"

Xiao Ke announced this with a solemn expression.

"Retrieve all the scattered Clow Cards!"

Sakura: "???"

"Wait! I'm just a regular elementary school student! A magician or something..."

She shook her head frantically.

That night, the first physical Clow Card—the "Shō" card—appeared.

It transformed into a giant, monstrous bird, circling above the city and stirring up a fierce wind.

Xiao Ke urged in Xiao Ying's ear:

"Quick! Use the wind card! Only you can stop it!"

Sakura's legs were trembling as she looked at the terrifying bird outside the window.

But with Xiao Ke's encouragement, she gritted her teeth and picked up the "Wind" card that had been awakened first.

"What...what should I do?"

"Recite the incantation! Repeat after me!"

Xiao Ke flew to her and taught her, word by word.

"Key that conceals the power of darkness, reveal your true power before me."

"Sakura, who made a promise with you, commands you—"

"The seal is broken!"

Sakura took a deep breath, raised the keychain in her hand, and loudly recited the incantation.

"Key that conceals the power of darkness, reveal your true power before me!"

"Sakura, who made a promise with you, commands you—"

"The seal is broken!"

Golden light emanated from the key.

In the light, the key transformed into a pink magic wand with a bird's beak at the top, which fell into Sakura's hand.

"Use the wind card! Bind it!"

Sakura frantically stuck the "Wind" card onto her magic wand.

The card lit up, and a blue wind force surged forth, transforming into chains that wrapped around the strange bird in the air.

After a fierce battle.

The "Xiang" brand was finally successfully bound.

"Return to your original form, Clow Card!"

The sealing spell was cast, and the "Sho" card was sealed away, turning back into a card and falling into Sakura's hand.

After the battle, Sakura collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

Xiao Ke flew over and said with a grin.

"Well done, rookie mage!"

Xiao Ke let her try flying in the air using the "Xiang" brand.

The brief experience of flying made her forget her fear from just now.

"I'll have to trouble you again in the future, Cardcaptor Sakura."

"Huh? I didn't agree to become a Cardcaptor Sakura."

……

After the episode ended, Lao Zhang sat in front of the computer, motionless.

He originally clicked on the animation simply to support A-Guang.

but now……

"That's interesting."

Magic, transformation, card collecting, cute pets, friendship adventures...

It has all the elements that a shoujo anime should have, but it doesn't feel cliché.

Sakura's character is portrayed very realistically.

She may be afraid or hesitant, but she can muster her courage at crucial moments.

Although the battle scenes are not as intense as Ultraman's, they are full of childlike fun and imagination.

Most importantly, the relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, the bright and warm art style, and the opening and ending themes that are so catchy you could listen to them on repeat...

This is a completely different track from "The Promise Under the Stars".

"Starry Night" is a beautiful, adult-oriented romance, while this is a pure, all-ages adventure for girls.

"This time, Everbright is probably going to create another new trend."

He opened the comments section, and sure enough, it was already in an uproar.
