Entertainment to the death, make a tokusatsu film that will crush the entire internet.

"The Hengxing Project aims to gather top industry talent and ignite a brilliant galaxy of domestic animation!"

Tencent Video has announced its latest plans for this quarter.

The newly appointed head of the animation department, Wisteria, made a personal appearance on camera, dressed in a smart business suit, and spoke eloquently to the lens.

"We will invest an unprecedented amount of money, joining forces with several top domestic animation studios to create more and better animated works that are truly suitable for contemporary teenagers."

"Here, I can reveal some information to you all first."

"We are already working hard to create an epic national martial arts animation. Its production quality, investment scale and artistic achievement will surely surpass 'Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit Seven Swordsmen' in all aspects."

After the applause from the audience subsided, Wisteria continued.

"Of course, the prosperity of domestic animation requires the joint efforts of all colleagues."

"We sincerely hope that the Kingdom of Light Animation Studio can join the 'Star Project' and work hand in hand with us to contribute to the rise of Chinese animation!"

This combination of punches was executed quite well.

First, they publicly challenged each other, using "Rainbow Cat" to raise expectations for their new project.

They then tried to morally blackmail Yang Qian by using the pretext of industry ethics.

Not joining?

Is it because they are unwilling to contribute to domestic animation?

Are you scared?

A perfectly legitimate and aboveboard scheme.

Wisteria's speech immediately won applause from some industry professionals and media.

Many people believe that this is the kind of vision and magnanimity that a large platform should have, and it is a good thing to promote healthy competition.

The pressure was instantly placed on the Land of Light.

Countless fans and onlookers are watching the drama unfold.

They wanted to see how Ah-Kuang, who always did things differently, would respond to this invitation from a giant.

Yang Qian laughed.

A sniper duel?

Come on, who's afraid of who?

Soon, the official Weibo account of the Land of Light Animation Studio and Yang Qian's personal account were updated simultaneously:

[Light Country Animation Studio - Hikaru]:

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Tencent Video and the "Hengxing Project" for their kind invitation.

The Land of Light is merely an independent animation studio still in its growth stage, currently limited in scale and with meager resources.

It's really hard to compare with my colleagues from the top animation studios in the industry.

Additionally, my personal creative ability and energy are truly limited.

Currently, we are facing financial difficulties with our existing projects. In order to avoid hindering the grand blueprint of the "Hengxing Project", after careful consideration, we will not join the project for the time being.

At the same time, I also sincerely hope to contribute my modest efforts to the development of domestic animation.

I believe that in the near future, everyone will see the new projects of the Land of Light come to fruition one by one. At that time, I would appreciate any feedback from my colleagues and viewers.

This response was neither humble nor arrogant, giving Tencent Video ample face.

He also stated that he was insignificant and unworthy to work alongside these top figures.

A clear refusal with sufficient reasons leaves no room for criticism.

However, the comments section presents a completely different picture.

"Hahahaha! That's hilarious! Guangda says the Land of Light is limited in size and weak in strength?"

"In terms of the number of employees, the Land of Light may not be able to compare with those large factories that have hundreds of employees."

"Limited personal creative ability??? 'Ultraman Tiga,' 'Kuuga,' 'Rainbow Cat,' 'Neon Genesis Evangelion,' 'The Original'—that's what you call limited? Guangda's Versailles-style work gets a perfect score!"

"That makes sense! In terms of the number of animated works, Guangda can't compare to others who announce several projects with just one plan. Saying it's limited is a very realistic statement!"

"Wait, brother upstairs, whose side are you on? Why are you always pouring cold water on our side?"

"What do you know! This is called reverse psychology! How can he be productive if he doesn't give Laser a good slap on the wrist?"

"Hmm, that actually makes a lot of sense!"

"In a corner no one pays attention to, Everbright says he has another new project coming to fruition! And judging from the wording, it's not just one?!"

……

The Land of Light Animation Studio, meeting room.

Huang Duotian and Liu Liang sat upright, feeling both excited and apprehensive.

They never expected that after parting ways at the last awards ceremony, Teacher A-Guang would take the initiative to contact them.

Moreover, they were asked if they were interested in joining the Land of Light.

Yang Qian directly stated on WeChat that they could meet in person first, and that the Kingdom of Light would fully reimburse all travel expenses and lost wages.

The two were staring at their phone screens when they almost thought they were being scammed.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, gentlemen."

Yang Qian pushed open the door and entered.

"Teacher A-Guang!"

The two quickly got up.

"Don't be shy, have a seat."

Yang Qian waved her hand to indicate that she had taken a seat, and without any pleasantries, she went straight to the point.

"The Land of Light plans to formally establish a 3D animation project team, and is currently in urgent need of core talent."

"I've seen your work and information, and I admire it very much. I wonder if you'd be interested in joining us?"

Next, Yang Qian announced a specific salary and benefits package.

After hearing this, Huang Duotian and Liu Liang both gasped in surprise.

This treatment is far too good, far exceeding the industry average.

In addition, there are project dividends and a clear promotion path.

"Interested! Extremely interested!"

As a freelancer, Huang Duotian immediately said he could sign a contract right away.

Liu Liang nodded excitedly, "I'll join! I'll go back and process my resignation! It'll be done in three days at most... no, two days!"

He was just a marginal figure in the company and could be dismissed at any time.

marginal figures,

Yang Qian never thought so.

During the dinner conversation that night, he could sense that Liu Liang's 3D animation skills were no less than Huang Duotian's.

In particular, he has profound expertise and unique insights into engine application and process optimization.

Such talent being buried can only mean that it has been subjected to injustice.

For example, the fruits of achievement were reaped by superiors or their cronies.

After seeing off the two new key employees who were about to join the company, Su Xiaoran knocked on the meeting room door.

"Director Yang, this is some news from the industry."

"Tanuki Entertainment has partnered with several film and television companies to create a large-scale multi-person tokusatsu drama, which reportedly features many talented actors and top-tier celebrities."

Yang Qian opened Weibo and, sure enough, saw that the top of the trending topics list was already occupied by related topics.

#China's first domestically produced multi-person superhero tokusatsu drama "Star Warriors" officially begins filming#

#Reuters! Talented actress Liu Xiaofei spotted on a tokusatsu set#

#Top idol Kris Wu reveals: I will be a core lead actor in "Star Warrior"#

The scale was enormous, and the amount of trending topics bought was skyrocketing.

Without a doubt, after suffering setbacks in the animation field, Chinese entertainment capital is attempting to directly challenge the tokusatsu (special effects) sector in the Land of Light.

However, what about multi-person tokusatsu dramas?

Yang Qian touched his chin.

Of the three tokusatsu series he has moved here, Ultraman and Kamen Rider have already started production.

We're just missing a "Super Sentai" series that emphasizes teamwork.

It seems that assistant director Guo Fan will have to work a little harder.

Guo Fan, who was directing the construction of a new set on set, suddenly shivered: "Strange, the temperature is just right..."

Having learned their lesson from the last official crackdown, these investors have clearly become wiser.

Instead of resorting to underhanded smear campaigns and censorship, they have adopted a more overt and transparent approach.

Within the framework of business competition, leveraging its own resources and channel advantages, it engages in direct confrontation with the Kingdom of Light in various sectors.

Clearly, this was a well-prepared move, applying pressure on multiple fronts.

But...

Yang Qian's mind stirred slightly as he glanced at the dazzling array of works in the system points mall in his mind.

Who said the Land of Light can only operate on two fronts at the moment?

Special effects, 2D animation, 3D animation...

A three-pronged attack, three shots in quick succession!

What we need is a fierce attack!

He was eager to see if the financial giants could withstand the full force of this small independent studio.

As if in response to his fighting spirit, the long-absent system notification sounded:

[Ding! Side quest issued: A capital consortium has been detected launching direct commercial competition across multiple cultural sectors. The host is tasked with defeating the opposing project in their respective fields of tokusatsu, 2D animation, and 3D animation through superior market performance and positive reputation.]

[Task Reward: 1000 Points]

Given this, there is even more reason to fight.

For points, and also to bring more interesting works to the world.

In addition...

His gaze fell on Su Xiaoran.

To be precise, it was the milky white kitten in her arms.

It looks like it's only two or three months old.

"Xiao Ran, where did this kitten in your arms come from?"

Yang Qian was speechless. This girl had been hugging him ever since she came in. Did she think he couldn't see her?

"Ah! Director Yang..."

Su Xiaoran, like a child caught red-handed, quickly tried to explain.

"I...I found it in the green belt outside the park. It was so small, without its mother taking care of it, and it looked so pitiful, so I..."

"Don't worry! I'll take it home after get off work; it won't affect my work at all!"

She was afraid that Yang Qian would think she was not doing her job properly during work hours.

Yang Qian didn't blame her; she simply held out her hand and said, "Give me the cat."

"what?"

Su Xiaoran was taken aback, then a pleading look appeared on her face.

"Director Yang's dog is very well-behaved and won't cause trouble..."

"I'll keep this cat."

"ah?!"

Su Xiaoran was completely stunned.

It's strange, really.

After Yang Qian took the milky white kitten, it did not show any fear or struggle.

Instead, it nuzzled his fingers affectionately with its head, making soft meowing sounds.

She even stuck out her little pink tongue and gently licked his palm.

A strange sense of destiny arose in Yang Qian's heart.

He looked down at the little guy who was deliberately trying to scam him.

"Today happens to be the 19th, so I'll call you 'Shijiu' (拾玖)."

As if understanding, the kitten let out a soft "meow" as if responding to the name.

"Let's keep this cat in the Land of Light from now on, and use it as a mascot for the studio."

Yang Qian made a decision.

Su Xiaoran: "???"

Can companies allow pets?

Isn't that a bit too outrageous?

From then on, an unwritten rule quietly emerged within the Land of Light:

Offending Director Yang won't necessarily get you into trouble; he'll most likely just ignore it.

However, what if you accidentally anger the second boss?

Then you'd better go apologize right away.

And you should bring gifts and snacks.

Otherwise, for the next period of time, you might even be caught by Director Yang slacking off.

Who is the second boss?

The creamy-white kitten, Shijiu, wanders around the office, surveying its territory.
